One of the biggest lies so many men believe, even others believe it as well, is that anger is not an emotion, rage is not an emotion, numb is not an emotion. All of those and many more we reinforced societally for generations as acceptable in masculine presenting people.
I thought I’d leave the comment before the section gets too congested. European is just too much of an umbrella term, and I want to provide this as a PSA. Saying “Europe does this all better” isn’t always a great strategy, since what Sweden might do well, Turkiye might do horribly. In one example, German queer rights are great! However, in places like Bulgaria, they’re abysmal. Not directed at anyone in particular, but I just wanted to chip in a point.
Thank you, yeah Europe isn't a homogenous success story, I live in croatia, afew years back a group successfully lobbied to have our constitution changed to not recognize gay marriage but have it as this thing called a "lifelong partnership", that of course opens up a lot of discrimination for obvious reasons.
As a turk, (living in germany) its so sad to see what happened, they dont have a CSD anymore and it got more hateful even tho a few years ago anyone LGBTQ was mostly accepted and treated normally
I love love love love love that you are so supportive of us trans people, and that you are LOUD and PROUD about it!! supporting us quietly is great, dont get me wrong, but it is wonderful to have allies like you who unapologetically show your support for us and bring up these issues to your audience
I'm slightly over 5 feet and a big part of the reason why the only sports I follow are figure skating and gymnastics is because being short is advantageous for those activities. Being tall can actively be a hindrance in skating especially on jumps which is where the majority of points come from. Having a lower center of gravity on those really complex twisting elements (combined with tons of training and fantastic natural amplitude, obvs) is one of Simone Biles' attributes that's helped her become the GOAT in women's gymnastics. Also, in womens gymnastics and in every category of figure skating, musicality, grace, and flow are all very celebrated. In skating especially. It has many qualities that society has put under the "feminine" bracket, thus it's been regarded as a gay sport. And unless there's wild headlines involving crimes and athletes screaming and crying on international tv, it's largely overlooked in the US. Also, it was the first sport to be officially sex segregated after a woman competed and won against all the men.
And I 1000% agree that we can and should be making new sports and variations to sports that are less dependent on height and other unchangeable physical characteristics. There are truly endless possibilities on this front.
This is literally the only channel I can watch with my boyfriend. He loves engineering and the technical stuff with names I don’t know. But you are lovely and so kind, thank you so much 🩷🩷🩷
I found your channel through Shorts, subscribed for the motorcycle content, stayed for the personality. It’s really refreshing seeing someone inclusive in this niche. I used to do SEO for a Royal Enfield dealership, and would go to a ton of motorcycle events, mainly with the Harley-Davidson kinda dudes…oh god…those are some racist bunch 💀 Really love your stuff btw (Edit: and I’m trans 😂)
Woke is a weird word, it should not be seen as enlightened but as the conscious desire to become enlightened with the understanding that one may never be. EDIT: love your videos
I love this content. It has helped me learn so much over the last couple of months. I especially love how someone who is passionate about very stereotypical conservative stuff like motorcycles talks about the importance of e.g. trans rights. Thank you so much for making these videos. I can’t express how much I appreciate it
It's so funny the shorts conversation because I 100% loath them. Not only I generally loath short content but after a full year, i had to stop making them brcause they were leading me nowhere. After more than 400 shorts I never understood what I was doing wrong. Sometimes I had 2k views, others 400 and others 0. Why? No clue lmao Also it didn't help that i hated the entire process: Ihated making them, editing and uploading them. I preffer to just stick to longform content even tho i barely get 10 or 20 views per video. It's soulcrushing putting so much time and effort into something that, essentially, no one watches. It's only been a year but I feel 100% defeated and oh well... I just upload because it's fun to do research, do thr script and editing.
@@SquidTips I'm suprised it took 8 hours tbh 😆 🤣, also thanks for being a supporter and teaching me some tips on riding motorcycles! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦🏳️⚧️ :3
I will always love that your go-to example for video essays are both from the Leftist Cooks. There are so many video essayists to choose from, and it's Neil and Sarah that you choose.
Good on you man. I don’t have much interest in motorcycles, sadly. Hell, I wouldn’t drive a car if I didn’t have to. Driving gives me a lot of anxiety. But I enjoy political stuff. Funnily enough, ten years ago, I would’ve likely watched your video and left some argumentative comment, arguing against a lot of more progressive talking points. But, now here I am, a transfemme writer who adds progressive concepts into basically everything I do. Because of RU-vidrs and streamers that explained things and helped me understand stuff, I began working passed my biases from being raised in the souther states, around religious propaganda and hate. Point is, while it wasn’t your channel that moved me over, stuff like this definitely does move people over. So keep up the good work!
Holy shit, man! I never paid attention to the number of subs you have since I have been following you for years (r/crt). Congrats on the traction! This is good shit!
The progress that this man does - it started with his first video coming out as an ally, which was generally casual (what I mean by that is that you were not aware of everything, but still an ally). And now - how aware of queer and social issues you are! Genuinely proud and happy for you, mate!
25:00 You make a big note about empathy, and just wanted to say this: studies have shown that those who are neurodivergent have higher levels of empathy. Queerness and nerdy groups (like DND groups for example) have a really high comorbidity not just with each other, but with neurodivergency as well. A lot of gay or trans are also really nerdy, and autistic or adhd (or both). You being ADHD, I think, is what lead you to being more empathetic. I know ADHD has a tendency to emphasize ones emotions, so that your highest highs and lowest lows are truly worlds apart. But yeah, just wanted to point out that you having a heightened amount of empathy is linked to you being ADHD. Most neurotypical people dont have much empathy to be quite honest (from my experience)
I love your attitude 👌 I actually have a whole paper on trans people and how it works, if you ever want access to the Google doc, I’m down to let you see, it’s long tho feel free to do a quick skim xD Anyway keep doing what your doing
Love your thoughts on shorts. I have lots of buddies who stream on Twitch and are trying to build videos/clips on RU-vid or Tiktok from their back content so I'm gonna pass this on to them!
"youtube is a place of democracy and seeing something real" Idk man, sometimes youtube isnt different than other socials. Sometimes youtube recommends me video of "enraged american woke reaction" toward japanese ads and video games despite i couldnt find the reactions nor comments at all, why shouldnt you play baldur gates for the wrong reason, or just stereotypical misanthrope takes from stereotypical asian weebs and gacha gaming youtubers' mouth on youtube. But at least i found this and other good channels despite im literally finding it on my own without the help from the youtube algorithm at all. RU-vid algorithm is screwed up for me here. I was searching about tankslapper videos and i found this channel
@42:04 Man I am almost 7 feet tall I and I feel ofended 🤣(but FR I feel like ppl are lookign at me as at someone more competent than I am) also I am going through same court story as you are. I feel you and I would hug you so hard that all the sadness would pur out of you 🤗
You never fail to disappoint. Another great episode. The way you present makes me feel like I'm hanging out with a good friend. Although I've always been a supporter HRC, SPLC , PP, among many others, you have broadened my understanding of how to be an ally and bolstered my confidence for action. Thanks again, man. #rebel1100
Need to correct something the interviewee said here, soulbunni was never doxed, her name was put out there by herself in an attempt to make money all the bigger creator did was report on it. furthermore soulbunni has said very ablist and anti lgbtq things that are easily findable. I'm not trying to start drama, however soulbunni has done many many unpleasant things and I would be remiss to not at least suggest people look into the whole situation. demon mama has made a video on the situation and has gone on record as not being a syscophant for either keffels or soulbunni so again I just ask that people not blindly accept misinformation. its entirely possible the interview has been fooled so please if you reply don't attack her either.
I have no idea who this person is, but if they were hiding their name and someone went out of their way to dig up that information to spread it, that is considered doxing. "Doxing or doxing is the act of publicly providing personally identifiable information about an individual or organization, usually via the Internet."
dude I love your pov on bikes and the laws but this sexual gender and lgbtq thing is only an American thing and is really silly. Still will watch your bike related content. 👍
I assure you it is not only an american thing. There are tons of people in every country dealing with this kind of stuff. I personally know multiple trans people and gender non-conforming people in Europe and Japan. My partner is nonbinary and he lives in the UK. It's not only an American thing, I promise you that.
@@cloudbasenirvananot sure what you're talking about, the pink to blue gradient in the background of the thumbnail is actually not the map flag, but is just a gradient typical of vaporwave and similar styles! the other two flags are the trans and lgbtq flag, and i know you're probably not dumb enough to mistake those for another flag!
I have unsubscribed because this channel allows ads that CAN NOT BE SKIPPED. I choose to view only those ads for products and services that I am interested in. Why should you force me to view the entire ad for a product that I have no interest in? Waist my time.
I could give a rats ass about who someone wants to love or what they want to do with their body. That said, it's really annoying to have people shoving their preferences in my face and demanding I refer to them as a man or woman because they "identify" as such. Do you. But you can't demand that other people want to play that game.
@@finley4467 Wrong? By who's standards? If you've got an outtie, you're a boy. If you have an innie, you're a girl. I'm not going to play the silly game of "Guess how I'm identifying today!" with people.
@RealRickCox your standards of course. Don't deflect. I'm sure you'd at least be annoyed. And if the person you are talking to is half decent you won't have to play a guessing game. Just be a polite human being.
@@finley4467 These aren't "my standards". This is basic human physiology. Just because someone identifies as an airplane doesn't mean they can jump off a cliff and survive. The pronoun game is really just a mental disorder that needs to be medically treated by a professional.
@RealRickCox gender disphoria is in fact typically treated by a medical professional And I can assure you nobody is identifying as an airplane seriously.
