We started heading back to Canada from our place north of Cabo San Lucas in March 2020. We made it to Loreto, stayed one night, had showers, and did laundry, and were agonizing about our decision to go back home. After sleeping on it for one night, we decided to turn around and go back to our property. Over the following 5 weeks, we built a water tower and gravity shower and tied in a 60lb propane cylinder to our Camper so we did not have to go to town in Todos Santos more than once a month.

Hope you guys are safe. Its not great here in Alberta but for sure worse in the USA. Being responsible and social distancing is easier than the mass make it out to be. I’m still working full time on a road construction project with a butt load of preventative measures in place. Just be cautious and look after yourselves. Health concerns are valid but the likelihood of transmission in rural areas is far less than dense populated areas. Like you said at the end, “Wash your hands!” Enjoy your travels and live life! Looking forward to another great posting!

🌵 In my opinion you are way better off where you are. Hunker down & enjoy your solitude. In the markets in the US it's ridiculous how bare the shelves are. Yeah you have a good spot there I'm glad for you. Blessings to you.

Stay put. Things are still crazy here in U.S. Still no toilet paper! Would rather be where you are! We are truck campers too. Right now in sticks and bricks in northeast USA.

I'd stay put. In a few weeks, much more will be known as our country is in full-test mode now. We still don't have many ICU cases here (single-digits) so in a few weeks we'll know a lot more. Based on the Cruise Ship numbers and South Korean numbers (best we have) it looks like the WHO and media are way over-blowing this. My hunch is it's been amongst us for quite a while but without testing, we didn't know. Now we're testing, so the numbers are through the roof, but the ICU cases aren't.

Good idea to stay since you don't have insurance for the states and you are in a place where social distance will be easier.

Though we can sense some anxiety in your voice I find that you two are keeping a cool head which is smart. Your plans are now on hold as they should be for everyone. We are only as strong as our weakest link, that being those who are careless regarding recommendations. Someone got arrested here for being a virus host and going irresponsibly around town anyway. Staying put is the best move to not pickup/spread the virus from region to region. After all you could be stuck in much worse places than Baja. Unfortunate that the virus hit during a period of "snowbird" migration. Hope they all quarantine diligently.

When does your 6 months FMM expire? If we were still down there we would stay. Dianne and I still go play pickleball by ourselves and do drills. Back home trying to get food isn't easy. The stores are low on food and the lines are long.

Our FMM expires mid June so we figure we’ve got some time to see how things are planning out

@@DrivenToAdventures I lived on and off for 7 years in Mexico, not once did anyone ever ask for my FM3 or FM1 visa. Only on entry. If there is an office where you are you can inquire about extending it, otherwise I would not even worry about it for the time being.

Best to stay there With your health issues you are better off there with at least some kind of health insurance. Know you won't get it.. Stay stay safe.

Unless there's any civil unrest in the area, you should be fine. Where is this location in Baja?

Border is closed. You probably won't be able to get in. Find a nice play to stay after stocking up on food and water.

As US citizens we’ll always be allowed entry if we arrive at the border. They could quarantine us but they can’t turn us away.

Stay put , without medical insurance in the States you would be in trouble. One thing of note the President of Mexico is in denial of the contagiousness of the virus.
