So decided to make the most of what could be the last of the warm weather and head on up to Kinlochleven with the Charlie chops. Packed tent, food etc and aimed to do a traverse of the range of mountains known as the Mamores, a series of 10 Munros although I would only do 8, missing 2 from the classic Ring of Steall which are quite far 'out and back'.
After a later start, we managed the first 2 Munros before looking to set up camp. Found a stunning spot with views right down Glen Nevis and across to Ben Nevis. The following day we ticked off the remaining 6, with a nice dunk in a lochan before dropping down onto the West Highland Way. It was here I got chatting to some guys from Scorpio Systems who were working up there, they kindly offered me a lift and when I declined they instead gave me a big carton of coconut water which was amazing!
Then it was back to Kinlochleven where I bumped into a couple I'd met up on the hills and were the ones who told me about a book called Adventures with Charley, seemed quite fitting!!
