Traxxas is finally stepping up its game in quality 272R transmission is standard on 2WD VXL models 

Saw this on my local hobby store and thought it was a mistake. $550 CDN after taxes with vxl, tsm and 272r tranny, insane deal! Ive ran it at least and hour everyday since i got it, and it hasnt let me down. Probably 10hrs of run time and only replace the front hub carriers ( they didnt break, im just picky about steering) if this puppy is available near you, i would highly recommend it!

I just installed the magnum 272r transmission in my slash vxl 3s 2wd my 272 stock transmission gears are somewhat worn. Hope this transmission will show more performance.

The new transmittions are cool and all, but that intro is beautiful.

I bought the Ford raptor Fox it had a ex5 so I upgraded Vkl I keep the original gears it goes my be 40 ish but when you punch it It just flips over and slides on its top so they make Traxxas steady management system but then you have to buy a new transmitter to operate it by the time I am done I will have over 500 dollars in it and that is with out the new transmission that I'm guessing is also 100 bucks plus learning the hard way so just by the VXL better hexe screws better casters ball bearings just so you know stampede rustler bandit and slash I'll share the same transmission so just by the cheapest VXL bandit still all the parts and put it on your slash that way it comes with a transmission and you can just take your slash setup put it right on the bandit it's so light it only needs 2s lipo anyways and that way you'll have two cars and what you want in the one you want just saying great video

I’ve seen a Slash 2WD VXL TRA58076-4 on websites labeled differently. Is info labeled 272 magnum different from 272R?

Lets hope the ultra leaky shocks they've been installing since last Century gets replaced. A new design better beefier shock shafts & not the Exxon Valdez's pos crap shock that Traxxas puts on almost every vehicle.

okay now this is a good call. Metal motor plate, etc. That's nice. I just got done putting in an RPM metal motor transmission case & metal motor mount & hot racing diff. But yeah all that stuff I did should be the standard. A good move here. It's still with you in being overpriced. Since this is 2WD, I agree the pro 2 gives you these same features at a much better price, already low CG chassis. etc. Shoot there was a Losi 22s (think it's discontinued now IDK) that had this type of transmission setup. Basically this is how it should be done. Now we just need Traxxas to work on their pricing. SMH

I've never seen the point of getting a Bandit. Just buy a Rustler and get a Bandit body imo.

Looking into getting VXL with TSM on the slash. Do you have any links to the GTR shocks that you mentioned?

Seems like the brushed models have it now, is that correct?
