You know the multiverse traveling is dangerously bad idea because you may enter a wrong universe Like a zombie apocalypse Robot apocalypse And monsters So many possibilities you want to see feel hear or want experience so yeah Still be nice though to see Treasure Planet 2 but it not worth the danger traveling to find some opposite of our world
@@benjaminkitchen6257 Yeah, but I like to think that each universe is in its own bubble or set of universes that is while not the same is similar enough, like all the normal universes are in the "center" and as you move out they start getting more outrageous, wacky and crazy until you get to the "fictional" universes.
@@shanarihn5810 That New Megamind is not made by Disney and it's a TV show on same level as Legend of Awesomeness, Penguin of Madagascar and Monsters vs. Aliens (2013)
@@missperchman8548 yea. You play the role of a ship commanded by an older Jim Hawkins who's just graduated the naval academy. While peace talks are underway between the... kingdom? And procyon empire, a new threat emerges: Ironclads. Ships with no sails, powerful weapons, and strong armor. BUT! You don't go out there chasing them down. You follow the admiralty's orders. And as the 'peace talks' go on, you still have a war to fight. And it's the ironclads that end up finding you.
Considering how people felt about most Disney sequels (or rather, sequels and remakes in general), not sure if people would have had much faith in it even back then. There's some good sequels/remakes out there that are the exception (including some Disney ones), but people tend to be hesitant when it comes to sequels/remakes in general doing good... 0_0
Disney just keeps spitting on us every chance they get. Not only did my favorite Disney movie not make it big, but they had a sequel that they freaking 86ed.
They also decided to mis-market "John Carter" partially because; 1) they didn't want another failure after "Mars Needs Moms" flopped, 2) bought Marvel and decided to put their money into a "guaranteed winner," and 3) even when Stanton needed to refine the CG with another hundred million dollars they'd decided to disregard it. They had a chance to make a good movie, but decided to mismarket it because they didn't know how to classify it and then decided to drop both "Atlantis: The Lost Empire" and "Treasure Planet" because they (the executives) felt like using the deep canvas method was too expensive
Yeah, so much of our media is either: boy goes on a journey and gets the girl in the end or girl/boy ends up with the first opposite gender character we're introduced to. Retrospectively, it's refreshing we had a story focusing on growing into maturity and finding adult role models who may not always do the right thing but do right by us. We don't need a love interest for that and we don't need a relationship pushed as part of the "complete happy ending." But this art implies we could have got some of Silver's back story and he might have had a daughter and that kind of sounds a bit dope.
One reason I love treasure planet is the fact that it was a story I could relate to. I often times felt like Jim due to a lack of a father figure. I was a very troubled teen but eventually found peace as I got older. It's such a unique story especially from Disney. Sometimes growing as a person and maturing can help you love yourself rather than waiting for someone else to❤
Seeing what a sequel for disney's most underrated sci-fi might look like even though it will never actually come pulls at my heart strings more than you know. This movie was my childhood.
Он делался практически параллельно с первой частью, но, первая провалилась в проката и вторую сразу свернули. А всё из-за того, что он был не про принцев и принцесс, и тема любви была ток у второстепенных персонажей. По крайней мере я читала такую информацию.
The parts that looks like this sequel would've been interesting (going by what I can see from what little the consept art shows) seems to look like Jim Hawkins trying to balance between being a rule-following naval soldier/sailor and trying to protect John Silver from the naval authorities. That probably would have been a cool concept for a Treasure Planet sequel to explore (and help it further stand out from the other Treasure Island adaptations). However, the love interest part might be a bit iffy (especially if they were planning on doing something like Hunchback of Notre Dame II or Mulan II). At best, here's hoping it would've been something like Tarzan II, Brother Bear II, or the third Cinderella movie... 0_0
The villain was originally going to be voiced by Willem Dafoe. It would’ve been such a good role for him! It’s sad that we never get to see it come to fruition.
Unpopular opinion but im glad it didnt get a sequel. The Disney sequels at the time werent great. A number of them felt like a bunch of episodes from an episodic tv series smooshed together into a feature length film rather than a meaningful continuation. Mulan 2, atlantis 2, lion king 2. Tresure planet 2 would have been 30 mins of an elaborate heist but was actually the doctor reading his children a bedtime story, 30 mins of jim and his mother running the new inn, and 30 mins of how his dads first adventure went.
Im happy with the one we have. It's an underrated classic and if they tried to reignite it in the state of today's hollywood, they'd screw it up. I'm content with it. I don't want anymore continuations of previous films that studios will try to cash in on for the children of the early 2000s will pay hard earned money for in hopes of reliving nostalgia only to get screwed over. 2D animation films are slowly passing away and I'm content to let it happen. I was happy with the one Treasure Planet and will continue to be so even as a 28 year old who loved it when he was 8 years old.
Treasure Planet (my personal fave Disney film, based on my favorite novel) also nearly had a sindicated series on DisneyXD. They were in early production and even released a PC game of the plot for the 2nd film. Story not as good but still would have loved to see the Crew of the R.L.S. Legacy again.
They look absolutely glorious and just speak volumes about how awesome a sequel of this already phenomenal movie could have been... This world that they've created in the original movie is one of the most beautiful and interesting ever, the mix of steampunk and spacey/futuristic with these old timey vessels is phenomenal and there's so many cool ways this world could've been expanded upon that never got to see the light of day... *0:30* This image and the design of the ice cyborg guy are definitely my two favourite things that came from these concept artworks, really show just how much potential this world still held.
Willum Defou was sitting at the recording booth getting ready to record his first lines for a test when they got the call that the movie was axec by the higher ups
Мне это очень нравится,планета сокровищ один из моих любимых мультфильмов и он мне нравится намного больше "острова сокровищ" я бы очень хотела 2 часть😅,но переживаю ведь в наше время плюют на качество мультфильмов и на их сюжет😢
Best movie never made, I’m obsessed and in love with this beautiful art! Would’ve been amazing to see Jim and Silver reunite, as well as Jim and Kate’s relationship ❤️ As a wise man once said, “Jate is fate”!
When I listen to I'm Still Here, I always envision Jim growing up, traveling the galaxy by ship, meeting a pirate queen, and becoming a father. One who doesn't leave because they already live together on the boat And every year, they visit an aging Sarah
Who knows what the future may hold. It took us 14 years to get a sequel to the 2004 Incredibles movie. The Disney tv series Gargoyles that began in 1994 and ended in 1997 had to wait until 2022 to get a revival, even though the story left off from Season 2 was continued only through comics. Monsters Inc eventually got a prequel movie and a sequel series. Disney may someday do a Treasure Planet reboot or finally try again for a sequel. We just have to wait and see. Also, when the first Sonic movie was announced, fan response to Sonic's original movie design was strong enough that the creators actually postponed the film to revise Sonic's character appearance, so enough support from fans could be a key role in Treasure Planet finally getting the sequel it deserves. Personally, I believe that this would be a story worth telling. The first movie definitely was.
Perhaps Treasure Planet 2 can get a second chance to see the light of day as a comic or graphic novel. With that said, the concept art is amazing. The character at 0:24 looks like Mufasa with a humanoid body.
I think I get what is happening. Jim goes on another treasure hunt and encounters a federal sinking ship. After a rough first encounter, Jim and the new catgirl start growing closer to each other. All this is happening while being hunted by space French captain blue hat(0:40).
No, its alluding to silvers past. When Jim asked what happened to his arm and leg, silver told him 'you give up a few things, chasing a dream.' Apparently he sacrificed more than a few limbs. He left the love of his life behind to chase Flints trove. What makes this scene hit really hard is that despite becoming a father figure to Jim, at one point he abandoned someone who truly loved him, just like Jim's father abandoned his family.
It was already great as it was, perfect even. Let's just let it rest, for the mear idea of a sequel might kill the entire story now. Sequels were meant to be on par or better than the previous but nowadays and considering it's disney, i doubt it would be anything but a big disappointment.
God bless your soul for posting this we. have not seen any mention of these deletion since the first time was mentioned on Wikipedia back on an early 2000s. Thank you. so much whoever posted this on here. This is awesome and I got to see what he looked like when he was just young about like Jim's aids, the villain. Oh my Oh my God. How do I even describe this? You piece is a garbage. You missed a chance to actually make a good sequel. Come on. We need a sequel. Disney sucks. The animation is needed this days now. Oy. Does anyone agree with me? Thumbs up if Disney needs to do animation. Thumbs up or give me a smile face.
Une suite aurait été vraiment cool. Malheureusement elle ne verra probablement jamais le jour. Et même si cela avait été le cas, les doubleurs seraient probablement différent de l’époque…ce qui pour les générations ayant connues le premier film paraîtrait bizarre.
I'd love to see Treasure Planet 2 greenlit. I wouldn't mind it being in 3D, just give us more of the fascinating world from Treasure Planet. Could someone at Disney try to get this through instead of yet another mediocre Live action remake?
