Hello mate just want to say a massive thanks for the koi food fish loves it and arrived when said it would and they even started taking it out my hand now and thanks for all ur help in keeping my pond well I bet am annoying u with keep asking but I do appreciate it 😉
It never fails just get rid of one problem and something else pops up, really hope she recovers well and quick. have to say your pond and water looks really good now I just wish I had time and money to start my new one. I only have some fry from last year but even those are starting to get too big for the grow on tank I have
There's always something happening with the fish. Hopefully I'll get this sorted quick. Have to get digging on this pond then. It's amazing how quick fry grow in that first year
Hi, Danny, all looking good, the fish are really nice and your garden has come together well, I remember you building it in the winter brave man, hope your pooch gets well, great video.
Thanks mate :) digging in that mud still haunts my dreams 🤣 Pooch is doing well after his opp. Got the dreaded lampshade thing on his head which he's not very impressed with but he will be fine
I've been really surprised how well they healed, they got proper scredded down to the bone. You would never know now. Just hope this ulcer heals up quickly as well 🤞
Good video. In a way, this is what I like about the Doitsu, you can see anything straight away. Fish are looking good. The temp are higher where you are than in the South! We need some heat a bit :-) Great video. You are spoling us! Two videos in a week, super :-)
Yes spoiling you all now. Was Gona save it for next week but thought I might aswell get it out. Fingers crossed I've caught it early and she heals up quickly. Send you food out today, should be with you tomorrow 👍
@@dannycurrie1 Yes hopefully you caught it quick and hopefully there is nothing bacterial or fungal and just a reaction to all the pond treatment. That's the thing with doitsu, they have nothing to really protect them like the scales on the others. But they are always the visual indicator to problems. Thank you for the food. Much appreciated
Thanks good point there about scraping first before sedating. Beautiful koi. Amazing how fins heal. Been trying to figure out what variety of koi she is.
I'm so pleased how the fine healed, never thought they would. I was sold it as a doitsu ki kujaku. Its definitely quite a unique fish. I'm leaning more towards a ki shusui but not totally convinced
Wow those pecfins don't look like they were ever damage, did you have to treat them at all. Great video. I need to look back at your window I want to add one to my sleeper pond now. Keep the content coming. 👍
I did topically treat them with tamodine maby 3 or 4 times but nothing more than that. They healed over relatively quickly but took about a year to fully grow back. Check out my older videos, I've got one on putting the window in. It's worth doing and wasn't has hard as I was I expecting
Best solution for permanent or temporary pond shading material is called debris netting, which is available on rolls up to 4 metres wide! Much cheaper than amazon shade sails and the like and better quality. Available in various colours also - black, green etc!
Hope that ulcer clears up for you. I will be ordering more food from you, see how long that 5KG lasts me, not long I bet, they love it. That leaf in the skimmer looked placed to me for the video lol Made me giggle even if it wasn't sorry. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Give me shout if you want some food any time mate. Glad they like it. Believe it or not the leaf wasn't placed but I get why you would think that, I saw it in there and that was what reminded me to film something about it
Yeah I hope so. Pooche will be fine he had got something stuck in his paw, he's had it removed, got some painkillers and antibiotics. One of them stupid lamp shade things on his head, he's not very happy about that bless him 🤣
Hi Danny, another great video, your pond looks great with excellent clarity, can I pre-order and pay for some food and you send it on when you get some more or will it be better for you if I just wait? Your going to have to do a video on that feeder I have the same one but can't work out how to get it to serve up more than 3 feeds. Best of Luck with Fish. GEORGE
I I'm happy to take pre orders if you would like or wait until it's in up to you. Send me an email As for the feeder I can do a video on it. You have to set it to frequent feed more, I you have to press and hold 2 buttons (can't remember which) for 5 seconds untill it changes mode. You then set a start and stop time then a total number of feeds. My start and stop time are the same so it's over 24 Hours and I've set 12 feeds, it dose one every 2 hours then
Koi food now back in stock! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Koi-Growth-Food-5kg-Floating-or-Sinking-3-4-5-6mm-or-Mixed-High-protein-/164968979307?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
Not cheap but well worth the money. Rang them up and had it made shorted to fit my sleepers, they did it at no extra cost absolute-koi.com/subcat1266.html
You first need to test you water, if you have issues there they need sorting. Ammonia and nitrite need to be zero. You should have zero chlorine in you water. You then need to take multiple scrapes to see if you have any parasites and then treat accordingly (never blindly treat the pond) The fish will then need topically treating individually. There is no 1 treatment you can pour in to heal ulcers. You need to find the reason for them first. Hope that helps 👍
@@dannycurrie1 I watched an adam julyan video the other day and hes was talking about koi getting sunburnt, I thought about it. Then you uploaded this and it pushed me to put a sail over mine too. Literally paused your video and did it straight away haha
@@jameswithers3066 glad it's inspired you to sort it. I'd been thinking about it for a while, saw his video and decided I'd get it done before this hot weather comes in
