People over a thousand years ago had wild imaginations. You should actually read the Bible. There’s some great stuff in it. Or read the Divine Comedy. Just 500 years ago vivid descriptions of torture were considered hilarious.

​@misanthropicservitorofmars2116 I don't know if it was considered "hilarious", in fact it should have been much more terrible than it is for us today. Since tragedies in antiquity through the Middle Ages and Renaissance were much rarer and more impactful than today, this translated into its myths and mythologies being horrifying, yet simplistic compared to modern fictional stories.

Look into sumerian mythology. Basically the bible is the myths of Ur with a smattering of Egyptian cults and rehashed Ur with the Babylonians.

Ancient mythology often descended from thousands of years of culture and were far from simple. Indeed it is only our modernisation that makes it seem simple and often a lot is lost in translation. The basic concept of this pit locust is actually several thousand years old. Same as a lot of the "devils" and "angels" that populate both the bible and trench crusade.

If you know Solium Infernum, he should look like the golden guys. It would be so ironic.

i like to imagina firery blackfire version of a angel as described in trench crusade so instead of a beautyfull pillar of golden light and heavenly noise its a vanta fire with infernal silence. where one caused people to quickly die or burst into madness the other causes mortals to erupt in flames of the lake of fire of vanta colours which render the creatures immortal but in perptual infinite pain.

Hope they would be Heaven, and under the command of the Angel of Death (I forgor the name) and would appear on massive events in lore that builds up for the final war.

It makes sense to have more hell factions, because it's normal and expected for them to fight against each other, whereas it's strange and requires some kind of special explanation for the Christian factions to infight. I mean, you can still explain it (through "false prophets", heresy, etc.) but it shouldn't be the default.

​@@dark7elementyou could have just an Orthodox or Jewish faction if they wanted infighting (considering there's already a Muslim one). That's kind of the Good thing with human factions you can model them after some Major empire and it's pretty awesome

Correct, the western hemisphere was never colonized. We have no details on it so far. Personally, I would like to see the creators not pussy out by trying to turn the Aztecs good somehow, and just make the Aztecs/Mayans "co-belligerents" with the forces of Lucifer in the same way that the Iron Sultanate are co-belligerents with the Christian factions - not exactly sharing the same beliefs, but with a lot of overlap and clearly on the same side in the grand scheme of things. No need to sugarcoat it. Aztec religion was a brutal, psychopathic murder cult. Embrace the controversy.

@@dark7elementahmmm- so are the Christians in this lore (and historically as well). No one was markedly healthier, happier, less likely to be enslaved, or less likely to be forced to worship an apocalyptic zombie death cult once the Conquistadors exterminated the Aztecs, Mayans, and Incas. Every human empire is built upon exploitation, subjugation, murder and oppression. Trench Crusade takes the evil of historical Latin Christendom and ups it to absurd levels of dystopian parody. If Aztecs show up- no doubt they’ll find no allies in the Levant anywhere.

It’s a tabletop war game like Warhammer 40k. It’s set in a world where when Jerusalem was taken by the Templars, a group of heretics opened up a portal to hell and started a holy war between the forces of god and the demons of hell, which carried on for 800 years to the year 1914, where it’s now a ww1 trench aesthetic mixed in with heavy religious iconography for the human factions, and gross obviously demonic aesthetic for the demons and heretics. All in all it’s really cool lore, and this guys channel is the perfect place to get immersed in it. Hope this helps :D

Mention is made of Hebrew Knights destroying a fortress of Heretics, but to my knowledge there’s no word on non-Abrahamic religions yet. Apparently there’s some limited contact with the Americas but they’re not engaged with any hell-based forces yet

Likely. Most of the world is not Christian or Muslim and we know that most of the World is not under hell's control.
