You made a good job of the hedge, nicely cut and in good time too 👍. What's at the bottom of any hedge is always the biggest pain and slops can be as you say dangerous too, the tri pod worked well. 👍👍👍👍

nice job i think them tripod steps are like a modern day version of old fashioned orchard steps. very versatile. cheers. things just starting to slow a little with the shorter days.(my last vid is my 1st final tidy up)

You could do with an extension bar for that LR hedgecutter get the whole thing from the safest side.

That adjustable back leg really helps on hills. Your job is looking great! I got a different kind, a Hasegawa with a platform, very helpful with increasing your confidence.

Wayne Essar yes I was using a bit of a death trap ladder before. Nice to have that confidence as you say. Thanks for taking the time to comment, much appreciated

I have seen in another one of your videos you mentioned about prices for jobs. As a ball park figure, how much would someone expect to pay for you doing that hedge, and considering the time it had taken you? I'm interested as I would have no idea of a price, and trying to judge how to price jobs up for the future when I get into this line of work. I'm finding a lot of useful info and advice from your videos, thanks :)

Idk what you paid for that ladder but it was money well spent. Safety first

Great video......I've been looking at the Henchman and Niwaki ones but can't choose between the two. Think I'll go for the 10ft ones as will give me more options. The 12ft might be too big for the Nissan NV200 vans I've been looking at! I've used Henchman wheeled frames and platform steps in previous estates I've worked at and were brilliant bits kit but useless for transporting anywhere being that big.

David Hamilton Hi David. Probably didn't save me a huge amount time wise...maybe 30 mins at a guess, but it's more that they make the job so much safer and give me more confidence up the ladder. If you could see what I was using before! Death trap!

Phil S I bought it from a supplier called Niwaki who are based in Shaftesbury, Dorset. They are Japanese made. Not cheap but nothing good is

West Country Garden Pro many thanks some of my bigger hedges are on slopes and always that awkward part that you can't get to just looked on website I think it's money well spent just the transporting around is the problem seem to be getting more and more tools to carry around these days

how many steps is the japanese ladder www.howbertandmays.ie - do you have the commercial one? burning a bonfire is carbon into atmosphere, better compost, mulch for carbon capture
