Happy Sunday Everyone!
I initially planned to have the first "official" segment of the new precision rifle reloading series released this weekend, but back surgery last week put the brakes on that temporarily. The content is typed up, and there is A LOT of stuff to cover. Episode #1 will be released the first weekend in May and will cover several topics including caliber selection, reloading considerations, tools, and component selection.
If you haven't done so already, check out last week's video outlining a fun, interactive competition we are currently hosting until the end of May, 2023.
Thanks everyone, keep the rifle orders coming in! We have a large shipment of rifle build components due the first week of 06/2023 - get your build reserved!

I also had back surgery 12 days ago! Good Luck, recover well and I'm anxious to see what's ahead!
@triggeredprecisionmachinellc
Thanks, getting a little better every day. Surgery of any kind isn't fun, but back surgery is pretty miserable. Good luck on your recovery as well!

Looking forward to it. Too bad you had to have surgery. I was supposed to have it twice (along with various muscle tears, last one my right pec) and I kept powerlifting..and eventually my L4 and L5 fused together and I got my core and posterior chain like steel. I have pain a few days a week. but it's very mild and doesn't keep me from anything. I hope your surgery was a complete success and you recover fully.
@triggeredprecisionmachinellc
L4 / L5 was where my problem was as well. I had a good surgeon so fingers crossed this one time fixes everything.

In a recent video Eric Cortina showed that with the wrong powder charge the tuner want´s to help but can´t. Changing the powder charge one or two increments gave the expected results from the tuner. The Wolf precision A.C.E should remove the messing with the powder charge assuming Chrins Longs (Optimal Barrel Time) theory is correct. Since it´s technically a barrel extension and the pressure wave isn´t supposed to move through the threads you shouldn´t get the typical changes when swithing powder charges. The pressure ring Chris talks about should be contained in the "chamber extension" not moving back and forth in the barrel.

Interesting stuff. Erik's findings on the tuner / powder charges mirror what I've found as well. That shows the importance of still doing your initial load development as you would, without the influence of the tuner, then using the tuner to fine tune your rifle to the load. We recently did some experimentation using different things to "tune" the end of the barrel, including shims and washers made out of different materials. That is an ongoing project that I'm not done with yet and will be the topic of a future video here.

@@triggeredprecisionmachinellc In theory the A.C.E should make the load development accuracy wise useless since it should cut the pressure ring right at the chamber. Thanks for the content.
@triggeredprecisionmachinellc
Agreed!
