just a quick update on the Iceland trip, with the Triumph 400X with the Rally Raid wheels and suspension being used to guide a group of 14 Brits on a 12 day tour of Iceland www.dorothysspeedshop.com
Iceland does look an amazing place to ride. At last someone is showing it can be done cost effectively, on small bikes and by people who aren't riding Gods. Well done organising the trip.
Awesome! Lovely experience, we'll be following the content. You've convinced me on getting a Voge 300 rally in the next months. Regards from Argentina!
Next year likely getting the 400x. I had a CRF250L, then an Africa Twin…sold both. Not doing that type of riding any longer and the 400x seems perfect. If I want more, like you I’ll upgrade to the rally raid…
Brilliant video mate everyones bikes are looking great thanks for taking the time to update I think the smaller bikes are a great idea tbh, im looking to get dad a cb500x this week limited budget once the T7 is sold (only road riding n touring now with dads prostate cancer) hopefully there’s a few more lighter bikes out next year Look forward to the next update :)
A nice, gentle, pace for us older riders but I bet the off road sections were fun! I’d really like to join one of these tours at some point Nathan, maybe after I get my new adventure bike. Do you stay in B&Bs overnight? - I’d only want to do tents if really needed now!😂
It looks like you bumped the forks up to the top for and extra bit of travel, yes? How is it? I was thinking the same as I am 6'1" and want a little more height out of it. I also straightened the bar angle a bit... I visited Iceland in 2018 for 10 days and it was just stunning!
Hi skydar. Yes I think the nx500 would be absolutely fine for what we're going to do. It would be a bit heavy for some of the f roads so might limit you slightly, but you'd still manage a good adventure on it
Nice one. It’ll be interesting to see what the CFMOTO 450 MT is like as that’s very slight lighter and more off road biased. I know you’re running the 400x but did you also let somebody ride the 450 MT or did you leave that in North Devon in the end?
