At last someone from MCN that gives a comprehensive proper review. I used to get so frustrated with other reviews when they seemed to just concentrate on getting their knees down and practically bugger all about the bike. MCN take note this guy is spot on. You need to employ more people like this bloke he is a gem. He knows his stuff.

threepot Don't forget Triumph still produce bikes in the UK as well. Hinckley is not just a design centre - yet anyway. At the end of the day all major manufacturers produce machines in other countries.

Same here, 1 hour on this bike and now i'm selling my CBR 954 RR which i own for 15 years ... i thought i was in love before i tested the 765 RS. It's a pure gem and you can use all the power as you want and when you want with total control and confidence when you have a bit of experience (not like the MT09). It's a brilliant engeneered bike on which accent is more placed on quality and efficiency than on marketing. The price is not that high for the gear onboard. Take a MT09 SP, put few essential options and it cost more than the RS that nearly need nothing to be complete ! My only 2 concerns are : - the valves maintenance that has to be done 2 times more often than on the Yamaha 3 cylinders and it might cost alot more and the clutch cable that is annoying to see the screen and to put the key on/off. Sorry for english mistakes (not my language) V

I only saw your video now in Feb 2019. I got my 765 RS in October last year, got the same fly screen and a arrow exhaust on and I love the bike. I fall more in love with each time I ride it and I love the sound it makes. I loved my previous bike which i had for 6 years which was a Honda CBF 600 which had also done over 80 000km on it. But wow the triumph feels amazing. I found the fly screen helps alot more than having no screen. Cause without it I felt like I was going to become a flag waving on the bike without it. I have over 4000 km on the triumph so far and loved every km on it.

Ive always loved the tests that MCN did in 1980s when I started riding on road, now with RU-vid its absolutely brilliant. I REALLY like the new Street Triple, Im a bit to old for the hooligan bikes (lol) but I still love my superbikes. Nearly time for me to get a sport tourer type bike, but NOT just yet lol. When my back won't let me bend over the tank, then I'll consider the uprights. Thx for the superb reporting/testing.

Test rode the S and the RS today, so for a change I could actually agree and disagree on all his points, but he was pretty spot on. Will be getting the R as I really don't need the extra track performance but do want the new TFT display and slightly higher engine power and better brakes for the extra £800. Incredible machine for its price. Btw, enjoyed the outtakes. :-))

I completely agree about the Super Corsa SP vs the Rosso III. I mostly ride on road, in fact I haven't ever put my Speed Triple R (2015 model) on a track. I rode out of the mall where I had the tyres fitted and turned right onto the main road and the Rosso III felt planted, less than 100 metres from the shop and the back end felt better at urban speeds than with the Super Corsa SP after 5 kays to warm up, it was so weird and unexpected that I thought maybe it was a bit under inflated so I doubled back the 2 km home and checked the pressure with my Topeak digital gauge I use for my mounainbike, and the pressure was pretty much spot on. Normally I tiptoe through intersections if I'm turning left or right because the SPs have zero dust on the road tolerance, but the Rosso IIIs don't even notice a little bit of gravel or sand swept together by the cars, I could just as well be belting around the corner in my Opal Adam with it's huge rubber footprints

Great update keep them coming especially at this quality! When I test rode the RS loved its light weight but found it unstable at high speed and the seat position smashes your nuts against the tank. Also wish keep black and gold wheel paint scheme

makes me wonder how much longer the speed triple will be around. compared to my 2006 speed, this has almost the same hp, a better chassis, better suspension, better exhaust system (already low for cog) and with some effort could just as wheelie well.

The Street has always been love or hate style wise with next to no middle ground. If you can get past that the bike is a gem. Triumph are continuing to show the rest of the world how to build arguably the best all round road bike in the world. What more do you need unless you need something for the road that can take your hard earned licence of you in less than 3secs?

The reason why you can’t switch from rider mode to an other mode is problably because you’r rider mode is set up in the track motor mapping, thats also the reason why its in road mode every time you start up the motorcycle

i actually currently own the Brutale and i was curious how they held up against each other but i suppose ill ask you haha! What really made the big difference for you between the two!? and yeah the styling on the Brutale just takes my breath away every day, there isn't a day i don't get a complement on it!
@massimomerolla6862
@massimomerolla6862 7 лет назад
The RS feels more planted and confidence inspiring, whilst the Brutale had both up and down quick shifter I felt the one on the RS was smoother. I found the seating position on the Brutale uncomfortable the ridges on the side of the tank made it impossible to grip with my legs. Just my 2 cents. ;-)
