Love the bike! Love the Mode! I also use the LiteLok X1! Cannot praise this thing highly enough, I’m lucky enough to not have had it tested by any would-be Thieves but feels extremely secure, easy to transport as well
I understand about the upper crash bars! The luggage is awesome, love the color, and rounded corners. Literally gouged my chin on my Triumph luggage the other day. The edges are unsafe. Far too blocky🙄. I got an aluminum set with the purchase of the bike tho, and I eventually purchased a protector film in black for them. Makes them look much better. But was a lot of work installing. I then added some thin red reflectors to the back of them to increase visibility in low light. You did a very tasteful job with your bike! I have to get the tank bag, and that phone charger usb set up! I just love the bike! Very befitting of a gent that will take it out to places that it deserves. Cheers!
@@MOTOUK1 Funny story. Thought that I’d be taking the bike off road before I purchased it. Hence the upper crash bars. Once I grew accustomed to the significant weight of it I thought there is no way I’d take this bike “off road”. Fire roads, yes, off road, no. I thought the weight wouldn’t be too much of a big deal coming from my 500 lbs 02’ Daytona 955i. I was wrong.
The powder coating looks great. I think they match in with the frame as if they came out of the factory like it. I have the same tank bag. Initially I thought it was too small, but having used it, it now stays on the bike 90% of the time. You look as though you have it set up perfectly for touring, but I’m sure you may tweak it once you have some miles under your belt. All the best for your forth coming adventures.
Yes thought same on tank bag but it’s enough, I don’t like big tank bags. Yep I love the powder coating and agree looks better. Always a tweak to be done but as I toured on the 1200 explorer last august I know it’s ready now
Beautiful countryside. Stunning! Good video and mods. I own the first 1200 GT Explorer brought to the states after trading my 2020 1200 XCX. Mine came with the factory panniers. I have the SW-Motech rear top case which is expandable as well as their rear adventure rack system. I have their City tank bag which is the perfect size for me. I have the Micro on my Speed Triple RR. I looked at the Triumph wind deflector and am glad I took the MRA X-Creen off my previous Tiger. The Triumph one is odd shaped and I don't like the huge mount dead center. The menu system was superior on my last Tiger but I'll make due as the new model is superior in all other ways. I also had my dealer install the upper guards for more protection. Ride SAFE and BE safe! 👍👍
@ttrguy I have a MRA X-creen (the smaller one of the two) I wouldn't be without mine either, but it's not really suitable if you want something that you can adjust 'on the fly' in my opinion.
@@paullee6663 I have had them now on multiple bikes and for me they are "Set and forget". I ride with the windscreen all the way down all the time and have mine adjusted for that. No fiddling on the fly for me. Ride SAFE and BE safe!
@@ttrguy9952 I don't own a Tiger, but mine is 'set and forget' as well. I use mine in combination with an aftermarket cockpit fairing, mine is set parallel to to the cockpit screen and seems to help with the airflow over the screen if that makes sense? I tried a number of settings (as you know it can be adjusted very precisely) and that seems to work the best for me at least. Any attempts at deflecting the air higher just created noise and buffeting, which is probably the screens fault not the MRA X-Creen's.
love the look with the new powder coating. I bought the low heated seat for mine and it is very comfortable in comparison to my Tiger 900 seat i had on my last bike. I have a windshield deflector but i was not going to pay the price triumph wanted, so bought a cheap one off Amazon. works well. looking forward to your trip.

not a lover of white bikes or any white parts, but I love the "green" paint work of the bike so I might have gone for that instead of the white, I don't think Steve McQueen could have jumped your bike over the barbed wire fencing but it would be great if you could find the spot and have a go, the weather over Europe at present is like a furnace so hope it changes for your trip, everything looking good.
🤣 I’m not a lover of white either Dave, but I don’t mind the frame as it blends well. Too many colours on a bike can ruin the look so without grey I’m happy with now. Yes weather all over the place atm. Let’s see, I have a very open plan so routes can chance last minute to find the best weather

the powder coating looks good - when you send the parts in do you need to give the coater a colour reference number? Also I like the panniers, are the pannier brackets from Triumph? thanks
I had a look at what white and black powder coat he had an decided then. The pannier racks are Givi one fit racks to fit the Givi monokey boxes, I have the Dolomiti boxes in black
Watch out for the tyres going off. I have a RE and the OEM tyres failed to handle the damp after about 4000 miles. Changed to Conti Trail Attak 3 which seems to be better.
How do you find the powder coating last with stone chips etc? I have thought about coating my crash bars on the gsa but not sure how they will hold up. Bike looks great, looking forward to some touring videos 👍
They will hold up as let’s face it I’m not taking it off road and I doubt they will get chipped much. Could say that about head light although I have that covered now 😂👍 thanks bud I like the look of them now.
The powder coating looks much better for me. Obviously your previous trip on the simiar Tiger hightlighted improvements and accessories you'd make if the bike were your own. As someone else has commented already I think I would be checking if the tyres had enough life left in them for that length of trip, but it looks like you already have that covered. How many miles is it...3K+??
Haha thanks 🙏 actually yes and no. I was contemplating selling the Yamaha as I needed a bike for long distance in comfort and from my trip last august on the press bike from Triumph I knew it had to be a tiger 👍
Hi at the end of the video I was interested to hear you say you wouldn't be going off road with the bike I'm interested to know why you chose the rally pro over the gt pro as the gt is more road focused. I'm also looking at purchasing one of the bikes and am torn between the two hope you can help cheers Mark
Hi 👋 so for me reasons for the Rally Pro. Ok so in 2022 I took a press bike the Rally Explorer to Switzerland and found it to be comfy and good on the 21 inch front wheel on that tour. In 2023 when I was looking for a tiger I went with the Rally Pro as I like the green colour and also the spoked wheels. One think is the stock tires on the rally and rally explorer being 50/50 road, off road are noisy on the road so I swapped some 5,500 miles ago now for the Pirelli scorpion trail 2’s and no road noise, long lasting and more like a sport touring tyre which suits me for the road.
Of course the Rally bikes are taller than the GT so depends also on your height I’m 6’2 and 32 inch inseam - would recommend sit on both but check what position seat is in
I’ve got the Tiger GT explorer and got the following issues: 1. Vibrations through the handle bars at higher speed and I fitted the eco tech bar end weights. Helped but still not great 2. Buffering at speed fitted the puig screen taken away any chest buffering but still got it on top of helmet and fitted and lip! 3. Mirrors now I know they are different to yours on Pro but on the explorer anything after 4.5k revs 65mph plus they start to become blurry and get really bad the faster you go. You got any of these issues ?
Not noticed the vibes, about the same as other bikes I have had. No I find the original screen ok 👌 mirrors slightly better than the explorer ones as used an explorer last year
Those engine bars look much nicer in white, and that sump guard just disappears into the bike now it’s black. Whereas, in silver it stands out too much and looks nowhere near as good as it does in black.
