I've had sh*t hardware from Rex, Rockwell, Yaqi. It happens, but its how they deal with it that makes or breaks. I'll be avoiding this manufacturer. Nice shave as always brew 👌

I do not have this razor but this was so informative and I was mesmerized by the explanation of how to fix the issue. Great looking shave and video as always.

Great video, glad you were able to solve the issue and get a good shave in the end. I bought the Mamba 70 clone from DSC in Zemak and it was fantastic, so I bought the SS version off the back of that and it was horrible, it cut me over and over again….seems there’s a pattern there. Blade alignment quality for me is a sure sign of how well a razor is made….those that are 100% every single time without checking are the ones that stay in the den. Henson, Karve, etc they are all able to nail it so well, and the shaves they give are testament to that. Have a great day 👏👍

The blade alignment on this one is absolutely awful. To the point that I actually had given up and deemed it unusable. Thankfully I figured out a way to make it work, and hopefully anyone else that has issues with theirs also can make it shave, but yeah....QC seems to be a huge issue. I won't buy from them again.

Those pictures...🔥🔥🔥 It's pretty sad that they didn't take what you were saying more seriously. You weren't talking about it from a money perspective, but as a wet shaver. You have an audience that is much more likely to buy modern SE razors, and you're looking out for us. I think I'm less likely to get bit by that crazy Soviet Special I just bought than most others become I know it has alignment issues, while most of my others are auto-pilot. Those 2 bloody lines on my cheek made my face look like a horror movie poster for a sequel. Shave Face Part II.

Ayyyyeeeee - that cut man was nasty!! Glad it's getting better though! I tried man to show them, did my best to say hey this is good but it needs some work, in the end I am actually kind of sad to see them discontinue it. I think it had potential for sure. Thanks for the review and honesty. I haven’t and will not spend my money on products like these. I dont care how a razor looks - it must easily and consistently blade align and shave well

Always upfront about my experiences as a regular every day shaver 👍 Razor looks Sweet, and I think had a ton of merit, it just needed more QC IMHO.

Yeah DSC can do one 😂 #TeamYAQi💚 They should have had the M5 thread as the middle post much better design. TACHi all the way 💪🤙 I would love to see the TACHi have rounded corners just to make it that bit smoother 😅 Great review dude 😎🙏💚

Seriously this thread is a JOKE! Ughhhh so annoying - the design could have been awesome! I'm glad to have it working...but man...makes you appreciate what Yaqi does.

So far with 3 to 4 blade loads on my MARS have hade no issues shaving. I really like it. I’m sure the next time I load it will be an issue lol. Probably use it tonight

🤣 well then I would say yours is definitely a keeper! I can for sure see this razor would shave sweet, I hate how much I have to fiddle with it to get a shave, but I think there probably some sold that are functional for sure. Thank you for sharing your experience with this razor, hopefully more people had your experience 👍

Great Josh! Good work getting down to the issue and figuring out a fix! Super fiddly! You do have to watch some of the Chinese companies when you return something, because they will totally block you from ever buying from them again. Well, with powerhouses like Shield and Yaqi, DS can suck it-lol! Who knows, maybe they will follow Yaqi's path and turn things around over time and really become a great company. It could also be their customer service team, because that's not the normal kind of response from a Chinese company. Needless to say, they need to get it together if they're going to compete in the shaving market. Take care buddy!

DCS has let me down 3 separate times ...but this one really could have been awesome. Cheap tolerances ruined an absolutely awesome looking, well imagined concept. That said - hopefully this fix helps others! It's easy, clip the tabs off and make sure to apply pressure with a box so it's straight 👍 Thanks so much for watching my friend!

Awesome intro and pictures. Glad you figured out how to make that razor shave well. After smelling this set I knew you would enjoy it and wanted it in your hands so more would hear about it as I believe it's an awesome scent. I'm hoping HC&C will keep it as an offering which would be a different name. Pete commented on my last post and is thinking about it. It's always a joy to chat with you and hear your honest opinions. If you were in Europe you have 90days return policy. I would have sent that straight back if they weren't willing to do anything nor listen to how they could improve it 😂

They actually went back and forth with me for like a month..I should have just sent it straight back. We get the 15 day Aliexpress warranty, and it took them that many days to even respond...
