Thanks for sharing..yrs ago I wud trout fish in real small streams..only 4ft across...a lot of small adult size trout all native..brooks n browns..6inch to 8 inch...luved the colors n the humps
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 How deep would you say that water is Where you caught those 2 Browns together when you switch to the streamer? Are you trying to keep the streamer close to the bottom?
@@joebaggs78 sure am, I like to get both the spinner & streamer as close to the bottom as I can….. that’s typically where those big boys are laying! The Deeper the better, & that’s a life lesson for everything pretty much! Lol👌😂
Thank you very kindly….. Yeah I absolutely love the PA waters…..they are just challenging enough that when you pull quality fish out you still feel super accomplished when you pull it off! 👌🤙😁
You Dusty I don’t think you got enough pics 🤔 🤪 I’m just messing good session Bro some lovelies but please don’t discriminate smaller fish a wild brown is something to treasure count your self blessed you have the access to beautiful streams Tight lines ✌🏼💙🎣🏴👍🏼
Im so jealous of your streams out there. We have ones in northern Iowa and Wisconsin that are Identical to what you have, but have way smaller browns for some reason. Its crazy how much bigger your trout are over there
Lol…… well I might make it look like there are a lot of big ones, but in all honesty I’ve spent my life learning how to target & get these bigger ones in the net…… most streams have some big trout in them…… most fisherman walk right by them, or at the very least don’t catch them! Lol🤷♂️😉👌😁 I compare it to killing a big buck every year with a bow…… it takes a certain still set to get the job done consistently! 😊
Love your videos. From Wi. and I too pretty much target big browns. Almost every stream has big fish you just gotta learn what to look for and spend time on the water. I love night fishing for them. Used to do alot of what you are doing but years back started doing it with the fly rod instead. Nothing in fishing compares to hunting big browns. To me it’s more like hunting them and that’s why I love it so much. Keep ‘em coming I appreciate it.
@@bradgeffers1080 exactly my man…. We share the exact same view! Glad you’re enjoying I’ve definitely got more solid content coming…… I’ve got a lot out now…. Check out all my vids if ya haven’t already…. They’re all decent!!🤙👌😁
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 Oh yeah been watching for awhile now just never commented. You use a lot of the streamers I use here. Love watching them hammer it sometimes after it sinks about a foot and they come up to it. It’s crazy how close you can get to them in the dark if you wade very quietly. My goal is a big male close to 30”. Probably won’t get one that big inland but I truly believe it’s possible in the streams I target.
What beautiful and outstanding fishing. Yes, I did enjoy it very much. Wish I was still young enough to trek like that like I did for so many decades. Really dig your trout hat, can you tell me where or how to get one? That would be great, thanks.
I thank you very kindly good sir….👌😁 Glad you enjoyed…… my hat is made by Repyourwater brand, it was a gift to me but I believe you can find them online! 👌
@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 yep, found it and ordered it. Like it because only fishermen would look at it and know what it is, lol. Happy new year.
Nice fish! Do you use a heavier line, to be able to horse em in the net like that immediately after hook up, so u don't risk having to play em out in tight snaggy quarters?
Exactly right, you definitely run the risk of losing them if ya let ‘em possibly get around structure! 👌🤙😁 I run 8 lb Stren mono & it rarely lets me down!!
Great job my friend.I have never seen anyone catch that many Hugh browns in a row.You must have found a stream no one knows about. That was insane why to go.
Really appreciate the follow & glad you’re enjoying…..👌🤙😁 Yes the streamers are essentially a jighead with marabou & feather, rip them or jig them & they swim just like a streamer! 👌
Appreciate the follow man! 🤙😁 Glad you’re enjoying…… I actually run 8lb Stren mono….. tough as hell but does twist a little more but I had some bad experiences with Fluoro & opt’d to never use it again….. just a personal preference! 👌😁🤙 The streamers are a custom pattern my buddy ties up, he basically ties a 1/4 oz. jig with some Maribou and feather….. they work sick, but unfortunately he’s not tying them up for sale to the public! Ugh🥴🤷♂️
I basically just use one or the other just depends on what I feel like using on that particular day! I feel like it’s a little more of a challenge catching them on the streamer so some days I just exclusively use those, but if I ever get a follow and not take, I will throw the spinner on and see if they nail it or vice versa, if I’m using the spinner I will throw the streamer on if I have one follow and not take! Basically Plan A & Plan B lol👌🤙😁
Negative….. I mean at least the very large majority of streams that I fish are not marked as Posted with signs…. I still try to acquire permission though when possible!👌🤙
I’m curious , why such. M expensive pole, reel, and 8 pound line ? I use a 20 dollar pole . A micro mini ultralight reel and 4 pound line . I’m in more of Amazement the heavy line for such a small stream
Different strokes for different folks…… the basic answer to the line question is I don’t like big fish breaking my line!!! I used to use 4 and 6 lb. line as well, but when I started having multiple fish break my line each year I decided to advance to the 8lb….. I actually still have them break my line believe it or not on occasion, but not anywhere near as many!
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 just curious live near Pittsburgh, most of our trout waters are stocked…. Not any wild browns near me…. Was just curious if this was like Erie Pa or out East….. beautiful fish bro!
Lol….. yeah when I jerked the streamer away from him nearly at my rod tip somehow he didn’t spook & just circled a few times & snatched up that frog as I was frozen & the damn battery just had died lol….. glad it all worked out how it did or I wouldn’t have got the hookset & land on film! 🤷♂️😂
@@stevieb9104 So you’ve fished every stream in Pennsylvania I’m guessing?? Nope, didn’t think so…… I’d say have your facts straight before you go making fact claims….. otherwise at the end of the day you’re just spewing your hater opinion looking like a 🤡🤡🤡 Anyhow Tight Lines & the best of luck in your future endeavors! 👍🎣
