I only paid $80 to straight pipe it from the cats so if you are paying more than $100 for just a muffler delete you need to go to a different shop. The guy I talked to said he charges $10 a weld each end of the pipe, $5 to put the truck on his lift, and $15 for the pipe. Completely worth the money imo.
Dylan Pierce Decosky My stock head unit was a 6 disc cd changer and that’s it. No auxiliary, no usb, no Bluetooth. So for years I listened to the same couple of cds. So finally I had enough of that and got a new head unit and now I get to use Bluetooth (or auxiliary or usb, but mostly Bluetooth) and I don’t have to listen to the same 30 songs on repeat.
@@rekklesscc9204 ...video on the difference??? Like for an audio of stock manifold then with the headers? Not really man I'm sorry. But there should be a clip of them at the end of the pics in this Instagram post...frm my page... Theres some audio stuff from couple years ago on there maybe. I probly should get an updated actually walk around video for the tube tho, with cold start up etc... It's just that it's also got the last cat removed there is still one plus the small pair in the y-pipe, going to this burnt blue tip double muffler!! 😭🤣its nOt rEally truck "rice-y" tho. It rocks it well & gets down. I'm able to mess with baffles on this set up, in, or out, fully, then in splayed open/ in splayed closed etc... it rEally changes the tones minimally effecting flow 👍 Furthermore, they have rainbowed very nicely, I've been through a few winters with red dirt slush getting eVerywhere, they wipe right off basically, i ride w/out the wheel well trim cause they do still look good in there. They definitely woke up some response, alot actually but I'm also running a giant intake cone & superchips advanced 91octaine tune LoLol its peppy asf. Has eaton Detroit Locker with 4.10's. 💪🔩🔧🤙After seasoning it maybe with some more mileage in future will add Eaton m62 or other nice low boost set up supercharger. 👌 gunna be lit, cuz then it can really hang out with the pops'es 6.oh king ranch, not just smashing it on highway pulls, pretty much does that n/a allready on the highend actually, but from a dig too would be nice. Heck it probly run with our Camaro & my bikes even...hehehe yeet! (Sry for the story book late response, dint notice initial reply b4) instagram.com/p/BkPJC76hEa1/?igshid=1s9o131pqyysn
@@hillbillyhomeboy4121 ebay/amazon should have them...they are semi brandless* but I'd definitely look for usa seller...they get the shaped tubes & weld them might find some named "dna" but long as its stainless I'd say your good to go. I got a set with one upside down flang, they told me they dint know how that passed inspection but immediately shipped me out proper set. One thing to note various types maybe welded on inside and have two like tack-welds on outside...some have nice full welds on outside & inside 💪🔩🔧🤙... So, Can be a little picky w/em for sure but they are definitely good quality & affordable asf.
Somethings that you have missed , its not a big deal. But you can do -bluetooth aux cords / usb -drilled and slotted brake rotors -led strips for interior -Used Aftermarket Intake -paint interior parts -Port ThrottleBody -Bigger Throttle Body, like if you have a 5.3 , you can get a 6.0/6.2 Throttle Body -components (sound system) All this under $200 guaranteed .
Towhooks, opens up a hell of a lot of options if you do it like I did. I bolted 2, foot long class 4 hitch receivers where my tow hooks were on my 89 k2500. That was 25 dollars, then for 50 dollars I ordered some hitch receiver hooks for 50 dollars, made the front pretty mean looking and in the future I can quick swap on a winch or brush guard
I know this is a late comment but in your old f150, I’d really recommend a Bluetooth FM transmitter. You can plug them right into your cigarette lighter and you can just connect your phone to it. Works like a charm for easily under 20$
Is it just me or is the older truck much sweeter looking than that new rado? The entire video I kept staring at that older ford for some reason. I’d love to have one of those as a work truck that looks just like that.
I love my 2000 Ford Expy 4wd. It has 250k and runs like a champ! My under $100 upgrade is to add some offroad lights. I may keep the original headlights because I like the look though! My next upgrade will be a light bar maybe, front hitch, and I am hoping to be able to build my own roof rack. A winch will run me over $100, but eventually I will have one.
With an older truck, buy an FM adapter. It plus into your cigarette lighter and allows you to use Bluetooth. Amazing upgrade in my opinion and it’s cheap
Hey buddy where you get them headlight precut tints at I got a 2019 GMC Sierra elevation all blacked out but they ain’t got no aftermarket lights or anything out for her yet
I chopped my muffler on my 10th gen XL Supercab and replaced it with an offset pipe meant for a GMC and a Vibrant Performance bottle resonator. Sounds nice. Wish I had a V8, but the 4.2 doesn't sound too bad, and I plan on camming it in the future. I need to get the roof and hood resprayed. My truck is the Royal Blue metallic color. My roof paint is starting to crack and peel and the roof has some rust. I wanna do a slight body lift and get some wheels and tall tires, get a nice grille, and replace the droopy headliner. I've already got a toolbox.
Have you thought of taking a eraser wheel and taking off the white pinstripe on the side of Larry? I took them off my ford ranger and it looks a lot cleaner.
Nice work! Love the white! You forgot the WARNING tag: Truck Modding Is Addictive in your intro! 😄😄🤩 Debadge & remove the mouldings. Hint**gently apply heat using a heat gun** Only thing left on mine is front grill Bowtie and an Allison/Duramax badge relocated to the tailgate so they can see what just beat them! WOT!💨💨
I just bought my first truck. I've always had (and still do) sports cars. I had no idea when I spent all that money on a new truck that I'd be dropping another $15K to make it the truck I want. Just ordered a grille, headlights, LED bulbs for the fog lights and rear lights, and a Fox 2.0 Stage 2 suspension package. Next will be wheels, tires, front bumper.
If you did the exhaust yourself you could afford to have a different muffler rather than no muffler, that way you get more choice in what the sound is like. All you need is the muffler itself, a short piece of matching pipe and a few clamps. My muffler (Spintech 6000) was $100 so I went a little over budget but you can get other stuff cheaper.
Great video sir :) both your trucks are Sweet! Love those rims and tires on that Ford hard core lol. May I ask what brand of rims and tires those are on the Ford as well btw ?
My guy Larry needs a lift kit EDIT: love the video btw, I’m 16 and have a 1984 k10 and I’ve been looking for some cheaper things to do to it, I have a billet grill, aftermarket headlights, and a lift kit with wheels and tires lmao, I got lucky with that truck, $4,500 WITH a new Chevy 350 aswell, a lot done to it and still a good price lmao
I have a 99 f150 that didnt have fog lights. So instead of cutting holes I got a bumper at Pull-a-Parts that had fog lights it cost $40 for whole bumper chrome and below it. Ordered new lamps cause I couldn't get others clean. And installed a rocker toggle in the dash and all was prob $100 or less but changes the look and gives you better vision. You can also get a switch with fog lamps while at pull a part.
One of the first things I did when I got my 2000 z71 was get some clear headlight housings and fog lights. Looks night and day different against the red paint... which I need to clay bar and wax lol
I know very, very little about vehicles, so I've been wanting to pimp out my '05 Dodge Dakota a little to start to learn about all that stuff. I would straight pipe it but I lack the expertise to do it myself, and besides, I live in New York so it's illegal to do that anyways. Any other suggestions?
Proper video topic. In my experience, if you get some budget friendly lights - just take them apart right away and seal them yourself and save the headache later.
I have a 2002 Ford F-150 with the 5.4 and a 2wd same as Larry I was wondering how much it cost you for the first exhaust setup you had true duals with the cats? Just won’t to make sure I don’t get ripped off
lmfscrew okay thanks a shop near me tried to say that it was very difficult process and would be a custom job and would be like $700 so I’m glad I checked in with you thanks
Why have a shop delete the muffler when you can CHANGE it yourself for less? I bought a cheap chambered thrush from the local store for $45. Had to buy an extension piece, and a cheap hanger. Easy to install. Sounds great. Better than delete IMO. Neighbor annoyance level is low too.
How have you not swapped out those ugly tail lights on the F150… lol god I hated mine 😂 found some cool ones on Amazon that have a “J” led bar. The passenger side is reversed… so my tail lights say “J L” my initials… pretty damn cool find for around $90 IMO lmao
Yo I’ve been debating on wheels for my 2012 el xlt ford expedition for so long I’ve been torn between 12-14 wides but I don’t want any stretch tires and I want a tirewall but also I want more tire then rim….you see what I mean… I wanted to know what’s Larry’s truck specs????
New to the channel but after watching this you have given me some ideas. I have a chrome front bumper I would like to change to match my black truck but then again I fear if I mess up and not look as good as yours then its another issue going back to the chrome lol. Awesome looking truck btw
First time to your channel. I like your trucks. I have an 06 Ram whose name is Bruce. Just got the wife a ‘new’ 99 f150 yet to be named. Also, my childhood pets were snakes names Bob, Larry, and Fred. Thanks for bringing up those memories
Type in Ford shorty antenna and get rid of the fishing pole. Also UPRproducts makes lot's of billet items for both trucks that are cheap but make a huge difference.
you can do a decent enough job lining up a front end with a tape measure, a couple blocks that are the same size and a buddy to help hold the tape on the other side. i'm sure there are some videos on how to do it on here. it won't be a perfect job but you can definitely stop it from eating tires and make the steering wheel reasonably straight. a cheap in budget thing one can do is buffing the paint if it's not too far gone. i don't mean waxing it but restoring it. also it'll work well on yellowed headlights. just gotta be careful the coating you put over it so it holds up to the sun. as far as mods go, i'm a fan of used parts. with the right knowledge, you can get upgraded factory parts from the junkyard or from people selling used parts. my old 84 f150 had parts from 81 all the way to 93 on it when i sent it on down the road. yeah they won't be shiny and new but going a better brake booster off a 93 made a HUGE difference when it went. also i put a lower geared 9" in it from an older truck. it all just bolted right up and worked though i had to change the speedo gear on the cable. pulled the o/d transmission out and swapped in an old 4 speed that had a granny gear in it. got that for 50 or 75 from a relative lol. even added a couple leaf springs in the rear to haul more weight than intended for a 1/2 ton. it's just knowing what will work in your vehicle. i also had that old 1/2 ton for years and know my way around the old square body f series better than most. i've also scrapped a few and scavenged a lot of parts from them before they went.in hind sight, buying a 3/4 ton would have been easier and probably better but where's the fun in that?
So uhhh most of these mods are things anybody with any vehicle would do. Anybody got some truck specific not lifted kit mods. Im looking to but a f250 power stroke and im not a big fan of how ford trucks look they are very basic. This is my first truck.
spend hundreds upgrading to better brighter headlights to see the road or trail in front of you, then buy and install limo black tint to dim those upgraded lights down to less than what your factory lights put out....cuz it looks cool in the daylight while you stand in front of your truck......👍👍👍👍👍 fkn brilliant
a popular mod in Olympia Wa is the free catalytic converter delete...come home, park truck, go to bed, get up for work....job done, without any effort on your part
Get a Bluetooth fm transmitter it’s a quick way to give any car Bluetooth even ones without a cassette or aux they’re $20 or lass and can be your USB plug too. They just plug into your cigarette lighter or wire it behind the dash
Hey! Is that F150 rear wheel drive or 4x4? I have one that’s rear wheel drive but would like to make it look like yours with the tires and suspension? Is this even a good idea?
I wouldn't buy an expensive truck just to throw cheap aftermarket custom parts on it. On an older truck, you don't have no other option unless you are a DIYer.
A muffler delete will not cost 100 it cost me 25 bucks, also you can go on amazon and buy a Bluetooth plug in that goes in your cigarette lighter for 15 bucks
You should try some switchback led blinkers. They run white like day lights, but when you use your blinkers they flash amber, i have some and they look great
