Idk why a lot of people are showing distaste toward this season so far? I like the vibe and I think it’s going in a very slow burn kind of direction which is pretty true to the shows theme. The subtle callbacks and references to season one didn’t feel too forced and were cool to hear. People also forget the supernatural type of elements are very prevalent in Alaska and to the show in general. Rust had full on hallucinations about the universe in season one and that was very interesting because you didn’t know if it was real, he had mild schizophrenia etc from his trauma, or a mix of both. Overall I’m pretty excited to see where they take it and hope they have a stellar twist/reveal in the end which I think they will.

My thoughts so far: I think her husband and son passed away in a car accident. (Since in Episode 1, Leah had a panic attack when they skidded on the ice and she asked why they don't talk about "the accident.") Maybe it was some indigenous ritual for father and son they attended? So...I keep saying "aliens." I think Clark led them out there on the ice, but how? I can't help but think that he killed Annie. (And kept her tongue??) I agree that he may be seeing her spirit. I'd hate to think that she took revenge on all of the scientists...for what? I don't want to contemplate that. I'm a hopeless romantic and want to think that Clark did love her. (But HAD to kill her?) Any of y'all notice that Hank just stands around and doesn't work. Not taking orders from Jodi Foster's character (Liz)? He would've kept the records at his house because somehow the police (or someone in the PD) are involved with Annie's death? I want to know Liz and Navarro's background. Something went really wrong with them two. ALIENS??? lolol

I haven’t read comments, but anyone notice it’s an exact excerpt from The Dark Tower? “The fabric of things is thin and the world is old” is almost word for word. They called spots like that a Thinny. And guess who was The Man in Black, aka Red King? Matthew M. And they also had similar facilities at the Beam stations in Dark Tower. Then there’s “The gunslinger fled across the desert, and the man in black followed.” It’s literally called The Wasteland. If that’s not an Ennis type place, nothing is. In season 1, the Iron Crusader dude literally said “I need a gunslinger.” Again, Roland was literally the last Gunslinger. also, if remember, Roland and Jake had to fight the giant bear. That’s a lot of connections. Just realized the whole time is a circle thing is also in the Dark Tower. Roland/Rustin is doing the loop again and again and again. Time is a flat circle and so on.

One thing that occurred to me, Peter’s chick is flipping out that he’s putting so much time into work. You’re talking about a sleepy little Alaskan town where this is the biggest thing that’s happened in forever. I would imagine he’s getting home on time like every single night, and thus far the show has only gone the span of what, two days in the show’s timeline? I am keenly desirous of gaining additional insights into the intricate and captivating realm of the detective crime narrative embedded within the fabric of the show. However, my fervent inclination leans towards a divergence from the aforementioned focus, as I find myself yearning for a more profound exploration of the identity politics intricately interwoven into the narrative tapestry. Moreover, I harbor a distinct dissatisfaction with the portrayal of certain male characters within the show, perceiving them as feeble and impuissant individuals, utterly devoid of the competence required to fulfill their professional obligations with commendable efficacy. In articulating my sentiments regarding the show's thematic dynamics, I am compelled to express a heartfelt yearning for a more extensive and robust discourse revolving around the indomitable strength and resilience of female characters. In my humble estimation, the show would undoubtedly benefit from a heightened emphasis on fervent and empowering discussions among its female personas, thereby contributing to a more balanced and enriching viewing experience. In summation, while my initial quest was centered around delving deeper into the detective crime elements, my evolving contemplation underscores the imperative need for a nuanced exploration of identity politics and a pronounced elevation of fierce female dialogues within the narrative framework of the show.

In order to foster a more robust and fulfilling existence, it is imperative that one embarks on a journey towards self-improvement and authenticity. This journey necessitates a deep and introspective evaluation of one's current circumstances, followed by a committed effort to engage in activities that not only enhance personal growth but also align closely with the realities of the world. It is essential to adopt a pragmatic approach to life, which involves setting realistic goals, embracing responsibilities, and cultivating a mindset that is both grounded and forward-thinking. This process of transformation requires a steadfast dedication to developing a richer, more meaningful life, one that is not only beneficial for oneself but also contributes positively to the wider community. By doing so, one can truly actualize their potential and embrace a life that is not only more authentic but also more in tune with the practicalities and opportunities of the world around them.

its more supernatural and harry potter-ish compared to the other seasons. but the fuckin and suckin is pretty neat. game of thrones standard

Episode 2 was not realistic. 1. One person came back to life after being frozen to death for days, lol. 2. They have the corpsicles in a hockey ring, and after a day or two, they realize one is missing? How so? When they were accounted for already? Lol. This episode is so silly.

No-one "came back" to life, they remained alive the whole time. Also, there are supernatural elements to this series so it won't always follow real world logic

I was eagerly waiting for this season but found myself loosing interest and even dozing off in mid-show. With so many elaboreted endless "symbols" and "Clues" (the efford to reprise the first season's atmoshere is too obvious) ..... who really cares? Unsavory surroundings, unpleasant chracters, all of them, to boot.

When she laid the pictures out like DCI John Luther à la Bowie, I knew this season is going suck. Even the camera angles are are the same, very sloppy.
