Trusting too much after narcissistic abuse in childhood is actually a lot more common than people realise. Not trusting is also a result of abuse but survivors are vulnerable to both.

I trust too much because I want to believe in the good in the people.

Childhood neglect survivor on my healing journey and yes can relate to it so much.I guess it also comes from the fact that strangers gave me more love and support than my parents could at some point

Absolutely! This is so common for many of us. Strangers do show more kindness!

Your videos are helping me sooo much thank you ❤❤❤ I am currently on a massive healing journey. I recovered very traumatic repressed memories of childhood sexual abuse 11 months ago, suffered major abandonment and neglect as a child from my narcissistic mother, battled alcoholism and all sorts of painful events due to my childhood. Currently a one year sober homeschooling momma who is now shedding love and light onto others. Since recovering my memories of sexual abuse (basically 1.5 years of torture) I have opened up some pretty amazing light working abilities. I am writinga book now "Warpaint" I have fully surrendered to healing from my mother now that I have forgiven and healed my inner child from the sexual abuse. Thank you, thank you, thank you! What you're giving to the world is amazing ❤

I 100% relate to this video. I was controlled and isolated as a kid. My friendships were vetted by my parents and rarely were they approved of. From grade 6-12 my parents disapproved of all of my friends and the only way I come see them was at school or sneaking out. As a result I wan't to find the good in people. I reach out to most people. It's esposed my to toxic communities online trying to make friends with racists and sexists all because I wanted to see the good in others and wished for them to recognise the good in me. In hindsight being around many of these people was deeply unhealthy and only furthered my loneliness and I'm learning to develope standards and boundaries since I began dating my partner. They look out for me and have taught me so much about laying to ground work for self respect. The messed up thing is I rushed into our relationship too. Falling in love really early on and sharing everything about myself with them before I knew everything about their character. I guess I was just lucky to find someone who has not taken advantage of me in the couple years we've dated. I wish this world wasn't filled with predators. That people who engaged in toxic behavior were doing it for a justifiable reason and capable of growth. But I guess what I need to keep in mind is that some people don't change, don't act in good faith and want to harm others.
