There's so many techniques, I use the same technique I was taught when I started taking panick attacks.Breath in think the colour green,breath out think the colour red,not the word;just think the colours.works for me anyway for sleep and panick attacks.

This will open a menu that will allow you to power down your device. Do this about an hour before bed, and it will be easier to sleep.

for people like me who couldn't find the groove lol, you can: take a deep breath for 4 seconds, hold it for 7 seconds then breathe out for 8 seconds. it always help me.
That is a really helpful one. However, when my mind is racing too much, I can't quite get to that, so I do a shorter variation of it by breathing in for a count of 2, hold it for a count of 4, then release for a count of 4. Basically, as I'm counting to 10 - breath in up to the count of 2, then keep counting in my head up to 6 as I'm holding my breath, and from there release until I get to the count of 10. It is less disruptive to me like this, and if I can settle for this, then I will up my count to breathing in to 3, hold to 9, and release at 15. I can go on up to the 4 beat rhythm, but any of these will be helpful to settle you down for sleep if you keep doing them over and over.
A fellow customer in a health food store suggested I repeat the 23rd Psalm until I fell asleep. I did that for the next 6 nights. By that 6th night I was falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow! That was in 1983. Since then I can fall asleep with ease.

It stops noisy thoughts while doing the method because you have to think about doing the method. I slowly count down from 99 to quickly fall asleep. It works because it is boring and blocks other thoughts.

I had insomnia for a week and was loosing my mind after trying a bad antidepressant, I didn’t want to take anymore “meds” but I finally took bendadryl and got to sleep finally and ending my misery, coming back to these videos I watched maybe it’ll help someone. This method in the video helped calm my nervous system but I couldn’t wait any longer to go to sleep. Also the Benadryl calmed my nerves.
@@kristinayates1 I think it's the divot just under the ear where the jaw and skull connect. If you follow your jaw up toward your ear, you'll notice a little space that's hollow. I rubbed in circles there for maybe 10-20 times and already began to feel sleepy. Good luck!

I had a massage therapist who would always end a session by massaging that spot, and then she'd just kind of give my earlobes a couple of quick tugs. It was such a small thing, but it felt so good.
My analogy of all the people which have 'solutions' of sleep deprivation is, they themselves do not have sleep problems. Had one dude complain to me that he didnt sleep very well either. Said he only got about 6 hours of sleep a night. Wow i would be glad of 6 hours of sleep in 3 night's time!
My fix for dosing off is pulling my TV next to my bed and connecting it through Google Chrome Cast to watch RU-vid train cab rides in the beautiful Switzerland mountains. Some of them last for 2 hours. It's so mesmerizing like being in a drone zooming close above the tracks. Puts me to sleep in about 15 minutes. My TV sound is off and the timer is set to automatically shut off in 30 minutes.
Pray 🙏🏼 Our Father Prayer ! non stop till you sleep ! Or count backwards while in bed till you sleep like a baby ! I always remember in the morning I slept from the count down to 60’s ! Sweet dreams 😴😘
Praying the rosary does magic in helping you fall asleep easily and have a restful night. Get in a comfortable sleeping position and say the rosary. I can assure you it works magic. If you don't know how to pray the rosary just pray. You can repeat "thank you Jesus, thank you Lord" until you fall asleep. Your sleep will be very peaceful. May God bless us all

The room should be cold,dont use any devices before going to bed,drink water,talk to each other or read a book,lie down and breathe and relax,dont think about anything just focus on deep breathing,and go to sleep
