In this video I unbox and install the TST 507 RV Tire Pressure Monitoring system (TPMS).

This installation includes the 507 Color monitor, flow through sensors on my 5th wheel and a set of 4 cap sensors on my truck. I also show you how to setup and program the monitor and compare its readings to the internal tire pressure sensors on my 2015 Ram truck.
Full Disclosure: The TST 507 Color monitor system with flow through sensors as well as the Tow Car Pack of cap sensors were sent to me free of charge to use for this review.
This is just an initial review, after a few trips I will follow up with a long term review of the system.

I've had the TST 507 for a year now, and it has worked perfectly. I do like to new color monitor though! Great peace of mind with a TPMS on the trailer.

Before I started using the TPMS I had 1 blow out on the highway and arrived at a campground with a flat tire another time. The peace of mind, knowing what's going on with my tires now is great.

I seen a lot off videos for this system nobody shows when the tire losses air and what is the limit the monitor is wireless take it in your hand and go to the tire let sam air out so we can see how it really works......

The flow through valves are not meant for rubber valve stems, they’re only meant for METAL valve stems ONLY

Great video. I am looking to get a TPMS for my RV. Can you read the display OK in sunlight? Also, does the display stay on at night while traveling?

Sigmund, The display can be a little difficult to read when sunlight is directly hitting it. I have only had a few occasions where it was completely unreadable. As for the night question, the display is the same all the time, there isn't a day/night setting or light sensor. The black background of the display helps it to not be too bright at nighttime. Jason, GREAT video, very helpful. One question, it appears that there are two sections on the monitor which look like a tow vehicle on the left and a trailer/ RV on the right. My tow vehicle has a built in TPMS so I’m using this TPMS for my 4 tire RV only. Do I set it up using the left side or the right side? Thank you!

You can set it up using the trailer side (right) only. The display allows you to turn the truck or trailer side on and off as needed.

Were you trailer tire valve stems metal or rubber? They looked very flexible to me.

It is my belief, he has rubber valve stems. Though the shaft of the valve stem is metal, it is mounted and surrounded by rubber, as clearly evident based on the significant flex as seen in the video. Potentially a bad situation leading to the failure of the valve stems . . .

I'm not sure, I've never used one with internal sensors on a camper. Sorry.

According to the manufacturer, the flow through sensors are only intended for larger coach tires, NOT truck or RV tires.

I don't know if you are getting your information from their website or if you spoke to someone. When I got my system they told me the flow through sensors would be fine as long as the wheel had metal valve stems. Most light duty trucks and trailers only have rubber stems.

how hard would it be to install the flow through sensors on a dually truck front and rear

I haven't done it myself, but I have a friend with them on his f350 dually and the hardest part was getting the inner wheels in the back. It's definitely doable.

Ok. Girl question here. This was really helpful, however, you didn't install the repeater. How do you do that?

Thanks. To install the repeater you just need to mount it near the front of the trailer using the screws that come with it, then connect it to a 12v power source. If you connect it directly to that battery make sure you install a fuse. I hope that helps. Jason

How do i install a fuse? I was thibking of connecting to coach batteries under my step, and mounting inside that compartment. The dirextions never mention a fuse.

But what about the antenna booster...... did you not need it? Or did you just not hook it up?

I wanted to test it without the booster before I spent the time to install it. After a full year of use I haven't had any problems without the booster.
