Hi, this is Jia.
I would like to share my favorite Korean recipes with you.
I've been running Korean cooking class and food tour company in Seoul, Korea for the last 10 years.
I wanted to share my secret recipes which are both easy to make and delicious.
I hope you enjoy my video!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tteokgalbi
Ingredients
Beef sirloin----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 400g
Soy sauce------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4 Tbsp
Salt----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1/2 Tsp
Ground black pepper-------------------------------------------------------------- 1/2 Tsp
Brown sugar--------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 Tbsp
Rice wine-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 Tbsp
Garlic (minced)----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 Cloves
Onion (chopped)--------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Tbsp
Leek or green onion (chopped) 5 centimeters------------------------ 1 Tbsp
Cooking oil------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 Tsp
Instructions
1. Mince garlic and chop the leek.
2. Make a sauce or marinate for the beef. In a big bowl combine soy sauce, rice wine, brown sugar, black pepper, garlic, and leek. Mix well. Set aside
3. Cut the meat into thin strips
4. Place the meat to the sauce and mix thoroughly. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth and the meat doesn’t easily fall apart
5. Slit the meat into 4 pieces and make into round patties
6. Heat the pan over medium heat. Add cooking oil and cook beef patties on both sides until brown
7. Turn off the heat and plate tteokgalbi. Serve warm
