No he’s playing bass. It’s a modified 6 string squire bass V. I mean I guess you could say it’s rhythm guitar but that would take away from what termain brings to the band.

Tim is a fucking wizard It took me a minute to figure out the riff at 1:45, Henry's playing a six string bass so the range goes from EADG>EADGBE which gives it that nice sound when he's mixing the higher notes in

No, He plays double pick up, the top 4 strings has bass pick up while the rest still on guitar pick up. I would say He plays hybrid guitar. Thats how He does the riffs and bass together.

@@thisisebo it's a homemade bass VI. It's a bass guitar with the same tuning as a standard 6 string guitar but an octave lower

So, Henry has made a RU-vid video about this. It’s a short scale jaguar bass that he modified to hold 6 strings, it’s like a Bass VI, he made a Bass VI

Fuck yesss! Love these guy's!. Had the pleasure of seeing them twice in San Francisco, once in Oakland, and surprisingly up north to my home spot in the Sacramentally ill region at the Boardwalk prior to covid. Always so kind. These guy's take the time to recognize you and aren't over the top at all. Totally grounded. I wish them success that I can't afford to go see them. I've been so blessed.

Fabián Escudero we go over this every video I swear. Lol just kidding but yeah, what you said plus it’s modified to have five stings so it’s basically just a fender bass V. Seriously though, with how good henry makes squire look they should clean their roster out and just enforce him. I guess I’m a bit partial though as they are one of my favorite bands.

It does! Because of the way that the gating was set up on the mic, and how soft Henry sang it, it didn't pick it up. I didn't catch it til editing. It's a super important line, so I had to swap over to camera audio and pick up the monitor vox :) Yay, imperfect DIY recordings!

@@AFistfulOfVinyl this is a really late reply, but I wanted to say this is one of my favourite versions of this song, and this is actually one part of why. Imperfections like this add character, and it's a perfect line for this kind of raw imperfection
