My life will go by and NEVER get to see Tuba Skinny Live.. it baffles me as to most of these people here do not realise how fortunate they are & admired to what they saw this day.
I think I made a similar comment previously on one of their videos. I think if she was any more authentic we'd be listening between the clicks & pops of a 78 RPM record! They don't get anymore real than this gal!
I'd stand in hot sun or pouring rain to hear these brilliant performers. Lovely Erika sitting on her huge bass drum in a simple print dress and bangs is a show in and of herself. Shayne is the stealth cornet player, so understated, yet pulls the whole sound into one perfect whole.
Once again Erika shows her amazing vocal ability . She sings this with perfect country intonation . Now listen to "what's the matter with the mill" and it's a whole different groove . She's a national treasure .And if I wasn't so old ..............
Hey Austin I meant that if I were younger I would ask her out . I find her very attractive and I am also a musician and would love to share musical ideas with her . I am also a gentlemen , which by the tone of your comment you wouldn't understand. Grow up little man
@@algreen1131 Typical comment from a guy who is trying to downplay the fact that he beats off to someone he sees on You Tube...shift everything to somebody else. I am grown up which is probably something you wouldn't understand.
You guys make Dixie, Jazz, and Blues proud. Bessy Smith, Lois Armstrong, Fats Waller, Jelly Role Morton, and Billie Holiday are all tapping their feet in their graves. Salute!
Glad you mentioned my "Uncle" Jelly Roll Morton ! Morton is a Scottish name and a "jeely roll" is a bread roll with jam on it beloved by all Scots bairns. Wonder if he had a Scots connection ?
What a really astute comment - “All great singers can be identified straight away by their voice”. Who would have thunk it? 🤣🤣🤣. Have you had any further enlightenment over the past two years Roy? Hope so.
This lovely lady has a parlophone or vaudeville voice if I can say that and mean greatest comments to the greatest ways of love for her and each and every one of you do unique things I’ve noticed and deserve praise for entertaining us with the music we don’t hear too often and seems like we can’t hear enough of it because it’s uplifting and happy and I think my brother knew the singer when he lived in soniat years back now he’s here in spirit quite the musician himself❤❤❤
Great, great Dixie land band and a Bill Monroe classic! What an incredible combination! WOW! Bill would have loved it (I think?)!Bill was so finicky about how his songs were performed!
Bill Monroe is in the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Bluegrass Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (the only person in all four as far as I know). Perhaps he should be in the Jazz Hall of Fame also after this Tuba Skinny performance.
While Erika is a fine singer, let's push a shout out to all. Max has got the vocal vibe as well. Rob is premier on washboard, the rhythm section is as tight as it gets. Share, Charlie, Craig & Todd have complete chops, they are masters.
Can't understand why this band has only 14 thousand hits for the like button, they are tremendous. Should be a million, we got a load of donuts watching. Well done guys love your music.
So laid back...I think you will find me listening/watching this lying on the floor in a couple of minutes. They make it look so easy...so nice...so ...so ...so...everything!
Love this. So enjoy Tuba Skinny. On the photography bit, I have to say I love the street environment for their performance. Something about it feels sort of retro and nostalgic, but also natural. The imperfect photography, the people walking in front of the camera, the street noise, all of it, make me feel like I am there. Here is community at some of its best.
Erika donnerait la chair de poule à un tronc d'arbre ! C'est l'âme de ce superbe groupe … on écoute ça en boucle en tapant du pied en mesure ! Merveille !
Good job you all stopped when you did, otherwise I would have reached terminal delight darlings. I would have turned up me tootsies and fell off me perch, to be found next day with a smile on my wee face. Thanks for brightening up a solo Christmas Day here in Belfast. I wish you rainbows as ever. Happy Christmas to you all.
i cant believe this band has been just a few hrs away from me all these years. cant remember when ive enjoyed listening to music this much. These guys are special and i wish them the best. i wil be making a trip to new orleans to see them ... in the mean time utube will be tuned in on them, keep playing and thank you. steve e. alvin tx
oh yes a real band with real instruments and man can they play them. erikas voice only compliments the whole thing. reminds me of old time jazz . i accidently surfed right into one of their street performances and been hooked ever since . my new favorite band
