Yes!!! Continue sharing everything about the 80/20.. love the meal ideas! Love the data you are sharing! Lets us know how the sleep goes, if you see any improvement brain wise, in your mood, energy, any decrease in anxiety if you ever feel that. And also talk about anything you continue to see in clothes fitting better especially in your waistline. I definitely notice weight loss in your face! Your jaw line is more defined! Thank you for all the work you are putting into these videos!
The way I’ve always viewed 30 days and weight is 30 days will pass anyway. So, a 2# loss is better than none at all. Stay with this plan regardless and notice how great you feel even if you gain 2#. It happens to me and I’m maintenance almost six yrs. So ENJOY your channel! 🙋♀️☕️❤️
I feel like you are one of my best friends and we are on this journey together. I APPRECIATE your open sharing. I look forward to your Tuesday meetings please don’t stop thinking there is no interest. I share your videos with my friends.
Oh Anita!! You are describing my sleep pattern as well. I also saw Dr. bright w Bella and she talked about that slice of butter before bed. After hearing you get 6 hours I’m going to try it!! I haven’t slept for 6 hours in about 4 years!! Thank you for all these details. It’s soooo helpful!
I am a true fan of you. I appreciate your candor. Super grateful for your pragmatic encouragement and your clarity. I am learning much from you. Thank you for all that you are giving to our community. -R
@@KetogenicWoman - I wanted to say that I love blending butter (with my immersion wand) into my lemon ginger tea as a delicious hot drink. But you might not drink herbal teas. It is a favourite evening drink.
Best share ever !!!! Every topic you shared, discussed in this video was so encouraging & helpful for me. I’m 70 years old, 100lbs overweight, totally addicted to carbs, extremely sedentary, & becoming a recluse. I only eat fast food, I haven’t cooked a meal in years. I am hoping that I can “get my act together” & start carnivore. Please don’t stop, keep the videos coming.
Carolyn, you can do this!! Just take it 1 meal at a time. Get some bun-less McDonald’s burger patties and a couple packs of butter. Just start there with that meal as one of your meals each day. Even if the other meals are junk, have that 1 zero carb meal and eat til you feel satisfied. After a few days see if you can make another meal of eggs and bacon with lots of butter. Again eat til you are satisfied and keep that hamburger meal going. Now you have 2 great meals under your belt that don’t take a ton of work. Make sure you get bacon with as little sugar as possible. Add cheese to you eggs if you want, but if you can eat them wo it, all the better. Baby steps. I eliminated all sugars after getting my cravings under control doing keto and then more carnivore. Never, ever if you told me that I could be sober from sugar for over 200 days would I have believed you! This way of eating can do miracles for your health and your entire life! You are much too young to continue on this way! You will eliminate your addiction and cravings if you embrace this way of eating one meal at a time! I wish you all the encouragement in the world and I’m going to pray for your recovery🙏🏻🙏🏻
Looks like the vote is for me to carry on and I want to as well! Thanks for sharing this and you just don't ever know who is out there listening! There was a day when I was over 320 pounds that I woke up one morning and I was just ready to start. I've tripped and fallen quite a few times but I keep going. Join in when you are ready!
Carolyn, look online for some keto friendly options for the fast food restaurants you go to. You can start this out in steps, I had to do that and work my way towards a better and better keto way of eating. We are all cheering you on!
Carylin you can eat out keto burgers grilled chicken no buns salads bring your own low carb dressings or use the drive thru and don't even have to deal with the temptation of the bad foods. You can do it. 😊 I lost 65 lbs and I did lazy keto much in the same way.
I did Dr. Bosworth's 3 day sardine fast. It raises your ketones majorly! You eat as many cans you want when you are hungry. Then the next week is easier to fast. It really is incredible. I used sardines with skin and bones in olive oil. Seasons brand. The idea of the fast, you won't over eat sardines. It really is worth it.
Yes please continue your “Tuesday Talks”. I have yet to “really” start 80/20 but am incorporating into my daily meals. I still find all the tracking mind boggling. Love your tracking, sharing & meal plans & recipes. You are absolutely phenomenal! Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Yes, Anita, please continue telling us about your 80/20 journey and how it’s going for you! This way of eating seems to be helping me and I’m interested in learning more from you. ❤
I’m super interested for u to continue and your meal ideas really help me. I’m doing carnivore with you. I have gained 4 lbs this month on it (huge bummer) but I’m trying to fine tune how I do it as my strategy. I also like trying to stay keto on holidays or restaurant nights… which I didn’t do too well at this month. Could’ve done way worse but could’ve done better. Your final comments and words of wisdom are fabulous
@@KetogenicWoman P.S. hot flashes have plagued me for over 15 yrs. Not as bad as they used to be but they still wake me up several times a night to flip pillow and flip off covers; only to replace them like 2 min later lol! A long time ago at a swim meet for one of my children a menopausal mom said something to the effect "good sleep? I haven't had good sleep in 10 years...I've all but given up on it and have learned how to deal with a few hrs at a time." I felt so bad for her. Now I'm her!!! I tried a pat of butter last night before bed and perhaps coincidence but I did not get up to use the restroom, which was a miracle. I am actively trying to get in a stick of butter a day. Today I got in about 3/4 of one. Thanks for all you do!
I need to gain weight so how did you do it ? ( please don’t hate me😢)! Dr Bright says a lb of meat a day but I look at my 12 oz ribeye and wonder how it can possibly eat all that in a day ?
I try to go by how clothes fit.... I gained 5 lbs over 3 weeks but was able to button my pants that didnt fit before. Carnivore WILL increase bone density, cartilage, muscle, and other good things inside your body! Keep some tight fitting clothes on hand and try them on every few weeks and write down exactly how they fit/feel so you remember every detail.
I haven’t slept more than a few hours a night since I had ovarian cancers at 45 years of age. Just did a sleep study and I only have mild sleep apnea but I was having a even crazier night of insomnia and took 5 hrs to fall asleep and then I was up every hour. So frustrating! I eat my burgers med rare and I am 69!😊
You do have a good strategy for gatherings with others that involves food. I can bounce back the day after, too. This wasn't always true because in 2020 I gained almost 30 pounds back (yes, I did!). I didn't start back with keto anything until late 2020. I've learned since then! I am more ketovore than carnivore, but i only have vegetables a few times a week. As far as waking up around 2 AM, I do that too. Sometimes it's midnight because I go to bed so early. Falling back to sleep is impossible sometimes.... until it's time for me to wake up! Then i can doze all I want. It's amazing how that happens. I enjoy all your Tuesday talks, and I think that whatever you do will be fine and dandy! Best regards always, Anita.
Please continue to report your results - I’m definitely interested in the feedback for high fat carnivore - having some similar issues please don’t stop.
The consensus is that we need to hear your words of wisdom on Tuesdays, Anita! I'm up at 330 many mornings and the one day i ate a stick of butter proved to be successful sleep that night! TY for your many talents you share...this Michigan G'ma is very appreciative! Blessings to you in our busy December!
I definitely hope you continue your Tuesday talks and high-fat recipes! I really appreciate your ideas, common sense and patience. You are a great role model for those of us following this journey. Thank you Anita.❤
I look forward to Tuesdays and your updates. You do you. No one has the right to berate you for your holiday eating, no matter how you do it! Love you from Ohio!!
A great interview with the Queen of research Anita the ketogenic woman ❤ Come and join the tribe. There is hope for us older women just like for the young. ❤❤❤
Please continue for at least another month. I have one month under my belt of better thyroid medicine, a Fitbit and just got cronometer. I am trying to work it all in with being a full time caregiver. I look forward to every video you do and even go back and watch repeats. Example today an egg coffee for breakfast with butter, an LMNT in hot water and no other food but I will eat a meal soon. Getting 3 meals in a day is hard for me.
You are so dedicated, 2 pounds after already reducing 130 is an accomplishment! I've never gained back all I lost and more since I found ketocarnivore! Which I did several times on low fat, high carb. Sharing recipes, tips and Tuesday talks I enjoy, thank you!
I love your updates and meal ideas. Keep going as you are! And I think if you can handle some keto treats and go right back the next day that’s ideal! ❤
Yes, I am definitely interested in seeing how you are finding your way through this 80/20 experiment. I think there are many of us attempting this journey as well.
I so look forward to your Tuesday talks, yes please continue. I am so thankful your videos were one of the first ones I happened to come upon when I changed my eating lifestyle after being diagnosed pre-diabetic this January and watched a video of Dr. Berry's, it was like a slap in my face to wake-up which I needed! Love that you are so down to earth, gentle and so inspirational.
I hope you continue sharing your experience with the 80/20, Anita! I am not trying it yet, but I am watching to see how well you do on it and your meal ideas in case I do get to the point of trying it. I'm like you were at first, worrying that it would make me gain weight. So I am watching your progress with great interest! By the way, your kitchen looks so clean and shiny and beautiful in the background! And your Christmas arrangement matches your pretty green sweater so nicely. The whole effect is very pretty!
I just recently found you! I’ve been doing Keto since last February and lost 35 pounds by early May. All of my labs improved dramatically and led to a reduction in BP, cholesterol and thyroid meds and my A1c dropped from borderline to 4.3. My Dr. Was as thrilled as I was. I gave myself permission to enjoy a bit over the summer and even into fall, with a slight gain in weight. No guilt and I’m back to keto and leaning toward carnivore. I’ve already learned much from you. Yes for more content in December if you’re into it. A big THANK YOU for the content you create
Oh PLEASE continue on sharing your 80/20 journey. I just love your channel and enjoy watching and listening to you. My husband and I are just starting the 80/20 plan and you have been a light in a dark tunnel trying to figure this out! Thank you for all you do! 💞
Hi Anita, regarding the less-cooked hamburger patties: In the foodie world that is considered the best way to eat these! If you have a trustworthy source for your meat, it is usually fine to eat them this way. I learned this from my chef/baker/foodie brother who said we in Canada seem to be much more concerned with cooking our hamburgers to death. To each his own!
I am 71 and have been eating low carb/keto for 8 or 9 years and am currently happy with my weight. Working on some health issues. Watching your videos encourages me to try more high fat carnivore meals and to eat sardines several times a week. I relate to your sleep issues! Looking forward to your December Tuesday talks ❤
Anita with all the comments I guess you can see we all want the 80 20 recipes lol. But mostly because you are so real and down to earth and very likeable. 😊🌹
Yes, please keep us updated as your own holiday schedule allows! Just watching your last few Tuesday talks has helped me confirm I really want to try the 80/20 3MAD approach after the holidays.
Hi Anita, I get a lot of support and inspiration from your videos. December is no exception for me. I'm having to pick and choose what events I can handle because I deal with Anxiety and get overwhelmed by social events very easily. So far, I haven't eaten anything I've regretted, I've stayed ketovore. I want to stay that way through the 1st of the new year when I go 90 days BBB&E. Watching your videos helps keep me on track, so I am good with you keeping them coming! Thank you so much for your content.
Wow Anita...congratulations on you November accomplishments. I must have missed Dr. Bright video...but I as well as many wake up @2:30 am lately. Your Tuesday talks as well as all videos are helping me and many others tremendously. Thank you for your hard work, honesty, sharing all cooking and dedication. Many hugs Eva from Calgary.
Anita you are SO encouraging! I love your channel. I’ve just started back on ketovore with the emphasis on upping my fat. I had followed Dr. Berg last time and lost close to 50 lbs. Fell off the wagon and went back down the rabbit hole and gained it all back. I’m 64 and have been a carb and sugar binger most of my adult life. I’ve abused my body for so long! The weight loss this second time around has been slower but…I’m embracing the NSV’s. My mood is so much better, I’m focusing on healing my body and I’m watching wonderful people like you for encouragement to stay the course! ❤
Hi Anita! Though we have never met I feel like you are an old friend. Yes! Please continue your Tuesday talks if you have the time at this busy season. It is wonderful that you share your journey to help others succeed! BTW, your scale victories and non scale victories are fantastic but what I find even more impressive are your persistence and consistency - true hallmarks of success!! You are an inspiration! Thank you so much for all that you do and congratulations on your continuing success! Your friend in London, Ontario, Lisa 💞
I love your Tuesday Talks. Please keep doing them for all of us. You are an inspiration to many many people who, like you and me, have struggled with weight all their lives. And thanks for the info on the brand of iodine you use. Have got mine now and taking each morning. You are a good person. Have a blessed day.
Anita--Kudos to you for accomplishing so much on so little sleep. What you describe --awake at 2:00 am--is exactly what I've been doing through the last few years. I stumbled upon Indigo Nili's video on L. reuteri yogurt. (See Super Gut by Dr. William Davis for more details). She mentioned that Dr Davis said some people experienced increased sleep and sense of well being. This really got my attention. And for me, it's been like a miracle. My insomnia has greatly decreased. I rarely have one of those 2 am nights. (Dr Davis is also the author of the Wheatbelly books--I event read those yet.)
Yes, please! I’m also 64, have lost over 100 lbs and still have a ways to go and have only been losing 1-3 lbs a month lately and it’s very frustrating. I’m “carnivorish” with only a bit of avocado or green veg occasionally. I don’t cheat, haven’t in 16 months and at wits end! I’ve been watching lately everyone talking about increasing their fat and kept avoiding doing so, afraid to gain. The fact I have no gallbladder so fat always gives me issues is another reason. I’m taking a digestive enzyme as well as ox bile and just started moving towards the higher fat plan! I will be following throughout yours! Thank you for all you share!
Hi Anita. I am like you -a very very very slow looser-You have helped me not to give up also I feel good and that helps me to stay on ketovore 4 years in April down 36lbs. Thank you for all you do to help us in RU-vid land. God bless you. Patricia
I like our Tuesday talks. I hope you keep them coming. If not every Tuesday, then a few Tuesdays, if you're up to it. You're videos are welcoming and you're real self is fresh. You're likable. I freak like I'm at a sister's house.
I am thoroughly enjoying your 80/20 food ideas. I just started 80/20 after reading Dr. Bright’s book and watching your videos as well as My Zero Carb Life interview. I appreciate your honesty and straightforward way of discussing how you make it in this WOE.
Yes! Keep talking about 80/20. I was reading Dr Boz and doing more fat at around the same time you started. It has greatly reduced my Lupus flares. I thank you for your channel and for keeping me motivated. Love and blessings! ❤️
Yes keep doing it those Tuesday are great for us and for you so it’s a win win situation. Congratulations on your results even if you think it’s not much just took two pounds of butter 🧈 and you can see it’s much than what we think. It’s more like a marathon than a sprint and how you feel it’s even more important than the weight lost. Keep going you are on the right track.
I love your videos and your current content on 80/20. I have been practicing this, following dr bright, boz, sbg, etc as well and seeking more knowledge while tracking if it helps me. So, love your strategic sharing of the data as well as recipes! You are one of the few who are doing this and no one else shares as rich info on this as a journey as you. Please keep ‘em coming. I’m listening! 😘
Oh please continue sharing your 80/20 journey on RU-vid. Like you, I'm in my 60s (65), have been dieting most of my life, and decided to switch to 80/20 from a quasi Ketovore diet. I've been on it for two weeks, goal is to do it for a month. I really enjoy your RU-vid postings; you help me to stick with this crazy eating plan.
Keep doing what you are doing, it's why I am here. I watched that same video with Dr. Bright about sleep, cortisol spikes, and eating butter at night. I also wake up at 2-3am and can't get back to sleep. Usually, I fall back to sleep 15 mins before my alarm goes off. I started the butter bites b4 going to bed. Only after 3 nights, I may have slept a little better last night.
Great video! Thank you. I started 80/20 carnivore on 10/4. Got side tracked for 3 days around thanksgiving by eating SAD! Feeling really guilty and bloated.. finally today starting to feel better. I’m with you on your plan for Keto for a few celebratory days in December. It can still be a treat but without so much guilt and loss of progress. Thanks for the inspiration 😊
Interestingly when I first started Keto years ago, I was in a group, that the answer to everything was increase your fats. I couldnt sign on to the prescribed "fat shakes"and actually I was nauseated from the amount of fat they suggested. Interesting on how things recycle. The group was like a cult and if you belonged to another group that they didnt like, they kicked and blocked you, even if you were silent in the group and never questioned what they said. I like cronometer and I have used it for a while. Please continue as you wish, I will watch and always enjoy what you do.
Groups can be funny like that. Because I have done so many forms of keto and low carb my take on it is to meet people where they are in their journey and all forms of keto and low carb and zero carb are good because they are better than SAD!
I do like these talks. You have a calm demeanor about you which helps me to not be as uptight about my dietary habits. Even if I know the material you present, I enjoy the reminders. I also love the spreadsheets that you’ve been using & need to buckle down & create a few of my own! FYI, I do remind myself that this is a lifestyle for me & it will be how I maintain my goal weight (just a few pounds away now) so I use special events as a way to practice my “moderation” of carbs or “dirty” carbs & it is a great way to see how much they will effect my health & weight. Thanks for all you do & all that you gift to us.
Even though I don't follow a carnivore diet I genuinely enjoy your videos. I like your Tuesday Talks; it's nice to see actual data & how it effects your health & wellbeing in real time. I appreciate that you take the time to keep track of, research & explain these things in a way that's relatable and easy to comprehend. I enjoy all of your content. I'm looking forward to your holiday meal & dessert recipes.
I have so many good things in my freezer it will be hard to decide! Rack of lamb, Prime Rib roast, fatty Brisket, all of them so good! The dessert is going to be super simple though, I don't want to get addicted to keto treats again!
I live in france, medium rare most eat this way.Rarely do they eat well done meat..Thank you for these videos.Last year after 20 plus years of being a veggie moved here from uk.Started eating meat, now i eat every few days but last week started adding much more butter animal fats and im loving butter coffee.Less anxiety more energy..
I'll just repeat what Kathleen said "Yes!!! Continue sharing everything about the 80/20.. love the meal ideas!". I just found (and subscribed) your channel and it looks very interesting. I'm starting the year with a 7 day fast and then starting carnivore. Hope to lost 50 lbs.
I am the same age as you and your my new best friend on carnivore. I’m a newbie on carnivore and I’m convinced that that lifestyle is healthy. Love you much.💕
Thanks for giving us these updates! I started 80/20 about a month ago and your meal ideas are very helpful. I am 54 and also have had a lifetime of obesity and various low fat diets, so it’s really nice to see a “real person” going through these trials. I love my burgers very rare, which is possible because I buy a whole steer from a local rancher.
Please continue Anita. You have become my morning coffee positive person to start the day with. All the data and details are so helpful to me not to mention the meal ideas. I tend to get stuck in a rut eating the same things over and over. My family isn't keto or carnivore. It's so important to have people like you for support. Thank you for all the time and effort you put in to make this channel happen. Oh forgot to mention I have been keto or carnivore for the last five years. It certainly is a journey.
I skip around to lots of carnivore podcasts, love your Tuesday updates, so interesting to see real time results. I like that you're adjusting as you go, thanks for taking us along
Your Tuesday Talk are so inspiring for me. I found Dr. Bright through you and have increased my fat significantly to try to fix my hormones. I am feeling great and not focused on weight loss, but healing. Thank you for being so inspiring to all of us!
I just found you and having been having the same sleep issues... awake at 2am every morning. After watching Elizabeth Bright yesterday I'm trying the butter before bed. I'm following your journey with great interest. I 'm 81 and trying to age in good condition. Thank you for your down to earth approach.
@@KetogenicWoman I'm certainly going to try it out. I have no gall bladder so am wary of overdoing the fat. Am also on bioidentical proges/ estrogen so am looking at dropping that.. I am 81 and just a wee bit past fertility 😄
@@Helen-nv8el No the book reinforces everything she says, but if you watch all her interviews (and there's many now!) you will hear everything. I'm not saying that people shouldn't buy the book, I would buy it just to support her. But for people on a tight budget, no you can listen to her in the videos.
I find you amazing and giving. Sharing your numbers with the world. I am a former paramedic, your nutritional info is critical for America to heal. Prove me wrong5
I find this very helpful and please continue. I also wake up at 2 and toss and turn. I just received Dr. Brights book and I’m starting the butter at night she says butter lowers cortisol.. Thank you for all you do to help us! Hugs
I started Carnivore at the same time, you are so much more organised than me, I love your videos, so it will be terrific for you to keep on doing your Tuesday talks and love your recipe's . x
Please continue as is. Love the pictures with your foods. Especially if we have already seen the recipe video. I’m going to try the night time butter ( how much) suggestion. ❤️👍👵🏻 🧈🧈 I didn’t realize I was tired but wired. My new saying!
Yes that one sure hit home with me! I am only using 1 tbsp butter in the evening because I am worried about triggering acid reflux. I took myself off my 15 year acid reflux prescription.
Hey Anita, thank you so much for sharing your time, thoughts, recipes and your home with us. You are like spending time with an old friend. The time and energy you spend helping all of us is so appreciated. The information Dr. bright has talked about definitely hits home for me. I am all that she describes, down to the waking up at 2am in just like you. I would love to learn more about the 80/20 high fat carnivore and share in the journey with this group. Since this is giving Tuesday, I hope you don't mind that I bought you a cup of coffee. Please keep doing what you are doing.
You are so wonderful, I appreciate the coffee(s)! very much and don't mind at all! These things help to keep the channel going! Dr. Bright sure hit a nerve with me as well! I feel like she continually describes me! Thanks again and thanks so much for watching💗
Love the holiday layout for filming!! Your festive colored sweater. Adorable. I just enjoy visiting with You & whether I am planning on ever doing 80/20 matters not ☺️ I am interested in hearing Your successes, struggles or triumphs. How can I understand it or know if I ever want to try it if You don't lay it all out for us. I am interested in You dear Lady. So keep sharing & we may discover stuff. Like this evening fat thing is helping Your sleep...?? Will the fat from beef lard work? Amy's carnivore angel rendered out bits & then took the structure that was left & air fried them; said they were Delightfully Deee-licious!! Lots more fat questions to explore. Sending prayers for Happiest holiday season EVER to You & Yours!! 🤗💕🙏🏼
Hmmm, that is a good question! Dr. Bright said butter but she is a big fan of butter and not all can do that. So maybe any animal fat will help with sleep! I will try to find that out! Thank you so much as always for your positive support and encouragement! 💗
I realize I'm late but I'm catching up and I greatly appreciate your willingness to experiment on your self and share the results with us here. Thank you Thank you.
I'm definitely interested in the 80/20. I want to do it myself but I don't have the chronometer and have no idea on how to set up these macros for some reason even with you saying it I can't wrap my brain around it lol. This is not like doing a straight keto thing. I think doing this 80/20 would be very beneficial to me if I can get my act together!
@@KetogenicWoman it is how to actually set up the macros. I know you've talked about it but I just can't figure it out maybe I need to use an app like card manager or something like that to help me figure out that 80/20. I do understand that it's not just eating like ground beef that's 80/20 and after that my brain stops lol 🤣
Anita, please keep doing what you’re doing. Even though I’m not doing 80/20 yet, doesn’t mean it’s not valuable and interesting information . I may have had to look away when you ate nearly raw ground beef, haha, I still love your channel very much and look forward to all of your videos!
