Sweet. I got my Tacoma tuned and it helped make it a bit quicker but moreso the difference in throttle response and shifting is incredible! Loving this build and that's coming from someone who isn't into lowered builds usually.
I was not a lowered guy and had doubts about it but this truck has come a long way and looks awesome with that dark paint and chrome. I dig it and can’t wait to see how far u take this thing speed wise
Just subscribed, great content specially for some like me that has 3 NNBS Sierras. Questions what’s the drop you used on the shorty Sierra? And with the AFM/DOD on the truck is it possible to have both on at the same time?
@lmfscrew I just hit up Holley the other day about e85 and my inTune i3. They came back and said e85 could be used with the 93/Diablo tune. I haven't done it yet though still burning through my tank of 87.
I have the opportunity to buy my dad’s 2011 single cab short bed with the 5.3. Only thing is it has 250k miles on it. I might end up doing the afm delete kit with new cam and lifters because of the miles. You’re definitely an inspiration and may end up doing a similar build.
Split personality truck. Lowered but 4x4 decals. Wants to go fast but big heavy wheels. Sport truck but chrome accessories. I’d go for full sport truck look. Change the wheels, rollpan, change the grille, sport mirrors, and remove all chrome.
I don't see why modifying these trucks is worth the effort. It's like trying to squeeze a square peg in a round hole...unless you have Deep Pockets. I've had mine for 17 years runs great.
Waste of money, if you don't have supporting mods to have a tune in the first place even if you did with that little ecm plug and play gauge it's still not a custom tune for your truck
