We take my 1997 mustang gt to Kurgan Motorsports to get dyno tuned on the new turbo setup. The car is being tuned on VP C85. Thanks for watching.

James Terry dude I got mine from on3 with a couple extra things thrown in and was able to install everything in 3 days, if you have any questions or concerns, hit me up, I ran into about every problem possible lol, only because I have a qa1 k member and it was a different 2v than the one that came in the car, so plenty of figment issues

Good stuff! I got mine together and hit the rollers Friday. Have a fuel issue around 5k to work out but made 702whp on 15psi through full exhaust vs racing 78/75

What power you make with the vortech blower? I have a NonPI 98 with vortech V2 with air to water cooler and only made 306whp 349lbft on 8psi with the head restriction. This winter I'm trying to decide if I wanna sell my factory remanufactured engine and blower and coyote or zilla swap, or sell the blower and just do rod's, pistons, ported PI's and on3 turbo. Your car sounds nasty.

Thanks man. I made 600hp on a v1 vortech and 19 psi on pump gas. I switched to a YSI and made 25 psi and 730hp

Do you just have 2v cars because I have the same kit but I have 4v cobra I really like looking back at your previous videos because that’s the main thing I have a problem with is the cold side routing but great content I enjoy your videos

Yo bro so I wanna go boost with the car now I know you’ve have nitrous, supercharger now turbo. What do you recommend for a street car just to have fun and around 440wheel

Really either one you will be happy with. The supercharger is a more direct installation. The turbo kit will require a tubular k member and coilovers up front.

What software or ecu are you using to tune these 96-98 2v 4.6L? I'm asking for my friend's 96 Mustang GT, we want to be to be able to mess with tables and not just upload off the shelf tunes. I see Megasquirt has an PNP option for both before and after 96-98 mustangs, but not these specific years. I know we can always go standalone ecu, but just wondering what PNP options there are for this platform in 96-98.

They're CMS stage 3.5 blower cams. The pistons are notched for valve reliefs.

I am running Comp 270s in mine, with a vortech and a turbo they seem to work pretty good.

Not right off hand. We have ran the MMR piston and rod combos in a handful of stuff with good results. I think they're around $1000

@J&Sautomotive: Bought 97 mustang 2 months ago. Car has 140k. But seems to run great. Plugs look good. Just ported polished and cam’d PI heads to add to this car. Want to add on3turbo. What can I do to check bottom end will hold boost; other than compression check? Thx

Compression and a leak down test. On the stock bottom end just keep the boost and hp conservative.

You're on the right track going ported pi w aftermarket cams. The more efficient the engine is the easier it will make power obviously but the easier it'll be on the engine. 450 wheel at 10 psi will be alot safer than say 450 wheel with 14-15 psi through a stock motor without pi heads and cams, make sense? You'll gain a point compression doing the pi heads brings them up to like 10.5:1 so keep that in mind. Give it as much octane as possible and watch rpm you should be good. A good tune goes without saying 👌

Hey man , quick question. I know a lot of people with factory turbo cars like going with a catless down pipe.. how do you think taking the down pipe to a exhaust shop and getting them to put test pipe where the cat is on the down pipe? I haven’t seen any bolt on castles down pipes for the kit

To my knowledge the on3 kit for a 4.6 doesn't come with a converter at all.

I got scared of the I-beam rods not holding the power so I pulled the motor and put a forged crank and H beam rods in it.

What wastegate and spring were you running? And what was base psi with it

On 3 waste gate and it was supposed to be a 10 psi spring. On straight spring pressure it made 7 psi so we put a manual boost control on it for the dyno tuning but it was done at around 16 psi. We now have 14 psi spring in the waste gate.

Roughly 9.7:1 it has -18cc pistons and stock 44cc pi heads

Its a great street able clutch. It is the spec stage 3+ its kind of stiff but nothing crazy.

Lol nice have you tried building with better internals on any of them?? Just blew my trans so I have to either build mine or buy a new one not sure on what I should do.
