The first time i seen a turbo screen I thought of how frickin easy it would be to make on then I seen this and I had the same idea about using the ring from an intake
I suggest you redo it taking the edges and rolling them so that they hook into your ring a little better. I have seen these things get hit by nothing more than a rag and they fold inward because the suction is so great when it's blocked off and it pops right into the turbo. You want to put a large emphasis on making it so that you have to break the wire before it can get pulled into the turbo by pressure.
I made mine out of a roll of mesh for a screen door at lowes. Not quite free, but I do have plenty of the mesh left over to make at least a couple hundred more if I need it. Lol my build has the headlight blow thru with an ebay velocity stack. I have a clip of my first start on my page, screen wasnt installed on it at the time tho. Way to think outside the box tho.👍
@@HeadFlowInc yea, my thoughts exactly. Lol I had a 220/224 elgin cam in it before the turbo build started, then since I was doing everything it all just snowballed and I ended up putting a summit stg 2 turbo cam in it. Its a 226/230, fairly similar to the sloppy stg 2. But it sounds mean and I love it. Still got a few minor things to get done before she goes to the dyno next month. Ill be sure to post vids of that. Thank you for subbing to my channel as well, I appreciate it.🤘
I think the 220/224 cam is a good 4.8 cam if someone wants a choppy idle and has the rear gear and converter to make it work. Definitely get it ready have fun! JD
