This seems to be a common issue being that this video alone got a bunch of replies in the recent months lol. They might be using crappy batteries for these scooters something that I would never have guessed, being that they have such great advertising campaigns and a ton of great reviews... I had my battery replaced as well about 4 months into the purchase, the troubling thing is that we use the scooter recreationally around our community a couple of times per week (not daily) and not as it's intended use as a commuter vehicle. I asked what happens now that our warranty is up, does a new warranty start with the replacement? they said no, you'll have to purchase a new battery if this happens again, which is about $200.00... go figure. The scooter seems to be holding up pretty well though.
Easy fix, justo CUT the negative cable and solder the conect directy to the battery. The bms Will charge normally and the discharge Will be direct( IS the same)
Would battery problems also have a power issue I just noticed mine started to have issues when I would press on the throttle my scooter would start to jerk giving low power or wouldn’t even move only when I tried 3-4 more time then it would go
i had the same problem turns out was the dischard connector in the battery, it was loose and it felt apart after a while, it´s hard to find another to replace it, but it worked
I bought mine in March as well and around May the scooter will not turned on. I tested the battery and it was showing a low voltage. After sending videos and pictures to customer service, they were able to ship me another battery since it was under warranty. So far no issues and now I'm able to ride the scooter again.
I have the exact same model scooter but different name,my model is called the zooom electrix,my scooter wont stay on and the battery is fully charged, anyone know is it the volts been too low on battery or could it be sonething else.
I'm glad the video was helpful. To be fair, I am happy with everything else about this scooter. I picked it because it is rated to carry 275 lbs and most other scooters are only rated for 225 max. It is very sturdy. I just think they have a problem with quality control on their batteries. Now my third battery seems to be working as it should so far.
Bro i was driving my scooter at low mode while running scooter i press button for change seed mode and scooter stopped and it's not turning on now what an issue
To wvwryone if you read your manuel it tells you on how to store you battery if its not used alot like the acooter is intenteded it is a commuter scooter to be used daily. Im sure the battery the used is noy jntended to hold a charge amd it not be used for wxtensed periodsof time same as tesla car batterys in its early stages of production
Everyone seems to be saying this problem does not appear when the scooter is new. Too bad I did not see this video before I ordered mine! How many recharge cycles approximately did the battery have before you started seeing this problem? Thanks!
My original battery failed 5 weeks after receiving the scooter. It had been recharged less than a dozen times. The second battery failed after about 5 months. I estimate it had been recharged less than 60 times. I have been using the third battery for about 3 months now with no problems so far. I do not ride the scooter daily and most of my trips are only a few minutes long. My average ride does not even cause the battery display to decrease from 5 bars to 4. Hope this helps.
@@carlosmunoz2714 thanks. I m shocked it sounds like both batteries you have eventually failed !! It sounds like most battery out there for this scooter will fail one day. I already regretted my purchase even before the the shipment arrives. 😨 since other comments here said their failures were from the recent months. TurboAnt changed the battery connector in 2021 to 3 blades. I think thus change probably has something to do with the failure. When you measured the voltage using your voltmeter. Why did you short two terminals? What reading is supposed to be normal after a full charge? Thx.
When my first battery failed I contacted Turboant customer support and they provided instructions on how to test the battery. I shorted the two terminals because that's what their instructions said to do. When I tested the fully charged replacement battery it read 42 vdc.
I have this problem now. The scooter (showing full battery charge) would die - just like in the video - but I was able to power up again and get another short distance out of it before it died again. I repeated this process until I got home. Now the scooter powers up but won't accelerate at all. Maybe it could just be a throttle switch failure!? Any ideas? Thanks
I can only tell you what Turboant customer support concluded in my case after they viewed this video. A fully charged battery should return a reading of at least 42vdc on a multimeter and show 5 bars on the scooter display. Mine failed both of these tests. If you suspect the switch you should contact Turboant and ask them for instructions on how to test and confirm that sort of failure.
@@carlosmunoz2714 Thank you so much. The battery display reads 5 bars - I just checked it now. I live in rural Spain so next time I'm in town I'll take the battery with me and see I can get it checked. Thanks again.
Yes Larue, the problem was a defective battery which has been replaced under warranty twice now. I made this video at the request of Turboant customer service so they could see exactly the problem I was having. They may ask you to document your issue in a similar manner when you contact them.
@@carlosmunoz2714 hey thanks for getting back to me. Yes your right I end up sending it back for a replacement. I feel like the battery goes into a default sleep mode after it has had a bump or other
@@carlosmunoz2714 thanks for your reply, I'm having a similar issue. Emailed Turboant support, my scooter is only a couple of months old, hopefully they'll accomodate.
Same here. I bought mine in early March. Mine dies after a few miles, then after a couple of hours, it comes back to life. I figured it a thermal issue either in the motor of controller. Will see what Turboant comes up with.
@@MrSail4life Sorry to hear that you guys are having this problem too. I worked with Ashley at Turboant customer support to get my replacement battery. After I sent her a link to this video she shipped my new battery the next day. I would be interested to hear how your issue is resolved if you are ok with that.
Not sure what kind of help you are expecting from me. If you are having this problem with your scooter you should contact Turboant. I have responded in my comments to others that I was able to secure free replacement batteries twice from Turboant after contacting them and providing them with a link to this video.
Most you people in the comments work for other scooter brands no like for real how every scooter under 1000 has proboem but everyone in the city owns one uder 1000 and they're working perfect
