I saw them live in detroit when they opened for blink182 and holy shit I just loved them. I've been listening to them since then and I wanna see them live again sometime
I grew up in hardcore. Old band Brendan drummed for (trapped under ice) was and still is my shit. Love that band. My friend showed me pressure to succeed based off of that knowledge 11 years ago and I was immediately on the hypetrain for them. I live in Baltimore now and I've seen them countless times in dive bars, vfw halls, houses, and parks. Watched their shows grow and grow but it still blows my mind that they're so big now. We hardcore kids don't get to see the stuff we like blow up often. So when it does and it's a pretty universally respected band from our scene it's fuckin special. Go to a local hardcore show. Support. Help the scene. Never know who the next turnstile will be.
Saw them open for Blink two nights ago at Los Angeles, never heard of em before either til Saturday night & their performance was crazy! Definitely became a fan after seeing them live.
@@puncrock2952 I will admit the drummer had a drum solo that went on for such a long time, grew with intensity, and even went into the transition of another song. The drummer totally made an impact. And after the drummer putting on that performance it definitely made me think "shit, I hope the first blink song that gets played can keep the hype up cause that was INSANE". Blink definitely kept the hype up & their "encore" was insane. Felt like their 90s fast pace lives they use to do
@@treefiddy5000 that's rad. I was never a fan of Blink and I remember in the late 90s they played a show at a defunct roller rink. I initially laughed off going but the WHOLE local scene was going so I obliged and they put on an awesome show, no denying it. Still not really a fan but in remembering that and reading your comment, turnstile seems like the group that could possibly upstage the mighty blink lol
Saw them on the tour because a good buddy at work showed me them. Liked them so much I bought us both tickets. House Of Blues Orlando. Amazing show. The entire place was a pit, even the stairs 😅
As a middle aged GenX rocker whos seen all the bands under the sun live I can say this band seems to me to be the best live band to come out this millenium.
@@luiszamora8290 Oh my gosh I’m so sorry. I was doing something else and I wrote it about Travis’ solo. The Turnstile drum solo was also incredible! At the show, I mentioned that he was definitely inspired from Travis’ playing.
see u at GMM again! From the small venues in the beginning to now Turnstile you are fxcking amazing. HxC for life! Tho the old albums sound more powerfull to me I'm very, very happy you still play them on the big stages, bringing hardcore to the masses!
Seen them four times over the past year and my wife went and saw them one more time without me open for Blink. They have always had a great stage presence and you will never leave un-entertained. Wish they held on to Greg from Take Offense/Rod of Correction on lead guitar but they still rock.
love this band its like a combination of red hot chilli peps, the offspring and rage against the machine They deserve more attention than sleep token bcoz they have a great versatile singer and they sounded more 90's
My homie showed me a video of a super old Turnstile show where there is like 5 people hardcore dancing on the stage and the singer is just to the side doing the Charleston lmao
