where i am its $30 for the standard pull start and ive destroyed 5 in one day, installed the TR V2 pull start and have done 6 days racing and its still looking brand new works perfectly, just keep it clean after each day of use and this is by far the best pull start available
Hi, just installed TR Pull Start V2 and the first pull was amazing, engine started, shutted off and one pull again engine starts until 3rd time. The fourth pull didn't made it and the cable didn't return. Opened up and found the spring twisted. What causes this. Thanks for your comment.
im watching this video because after years of owning this pull start, i have had tons of problems. even my friend with the same pull start has problems. this time my cable didnt wind back up so i had to take it apart and let the cable wind back up straight. i just dont know what to think about this pull start. i already went back to the stock pull start
Sold!...I just ordered one with the pre-filter from you. I couldn't believe it when my pull start failed on my brand new Losi 5ive T after only one run! its disappointing to spend $4000 to be shut down by a cheap plastic part, I would think Zenoah would know that pull start is going to take a beating. I would suggest Turtle team up with Zenoah or Horizon Hobby to supply them as stock, there are hundreds of complaints about the plastic one, It seems like common sense to me. Anyways thank for the video, i should have looked if you had the piston lock before i ordered but ill find one somewhere it will come in handy down the road I imagine.
awful pullstart, mine is 4 weeks old and completly buggered. the cable is fraying, the pawl has snapped the spring has snapped and its impossible to rebuild. i would advise eveyrone to avoid this pullstart, stick with normal ones
Besides the fact that nothing rotates unless you are STARTING, so "rotating mass" isn't a thing here... This design has zero ability to flow air for cooling, your engine will overheat.
I know this is an old post. but yes this does have rotating mass effect if you’re holding something to the center of the crankshaft and it rotates after you start the engine that is rotational mass and what you’re doing is just that not sure if it’s enough to :age a noticeable difference but. I’m not disagreeing with cooling. But it would just be easier. And better and cheaper to buy the spacer from DDM SKU EG583. Costs $54.00 Then you can install the GP460 Starter on regular RC Engines. Figure set up heavier duty pull start in general. Then you don’t have to have a turtle machines on the side of the Pull starter if you don’t wanna advertise for someone else let alone I wouldn’t want a turtle on the side of my engine but that’s me
Is there going to be aTurtle Racing Pull Start V3 That is not a piece of junk and also without a stupid turtle machines on the side of it. Think of the CNC router or carbide cutting bed that has the machine that logo of a turtle you could save that money and make the product cheaper so I don’t have to pay over 100 and be stuck with that stupid turtle
Who would want a turtle CNC machined on the side of the engine not me. Especially an advertisement for Junk. Why waste your money on this when you can easier. buy the spacer from DDM SKU EG583. Costs $54.00 Then you can install the GP460 Starter on regular RC Engines.
I know this comment is a bit old, but judging from your comment you haven't actually looked at the design of this product. The pull start itself doesn't have vent holes, however if you look at the base plate it sits on there are plenty of holes for the flywheel to draw air in from. There is more than enough room for air flow through these holes to get air into the flywheel and around the engine.
