Tutorial: Echo quilting and rulerwork with the BERNINA Echo-quilting clips

Echo Quilting Clips for free-motion echo quilting as well for rulerwork. The edge of the clip can be guided along a ruler. It is also possible to follow a seam line or previously sewn line of stitches. The clips allow you to easily and evenly quilt along a pattern. Make sure to place the markings downwards for use and easier attaching and removal
The set contains 3 clips with diameters of 0.5", 0.75", and 1.0". BERNINA Echo-quilting clips are compatible with Adjustable ruler foot #72. Ruler foot #96 may also be used for Q Series machines

Am I missing something in this Bernina video? Other videos I've watched that explain how to use the echo quilting rings say to MAKE SURE the etching side of the disks is face down on the fabric (the smooth side of the disks will face up). One video showed that placing the etched side up can and often does result in broken disks! Seems this is an important consideration; I'm surprised this Bernina video does not instruct etched side down use of the rings

Hello Susan, thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. We didn’t realize at the time of making the video early, on in the development that this would be an issue so it was not mentioned. The written instructions tell you correctly to place the markings downwards for use and easier attaching and removal. We have added this information to the video description.
