TV mount on concrete wall: how strong is it? Which anchors to use?

Mounting a TV on concrete wall such as cinder block, concrete block, or other concrete or masonry wall can be easy if you know which tools and materials to use. Today I used a hammer drill, cordless hammer drill, and regular drill with masonry bits and several kinds of anchors. Can I do pull-ups on the TV mount? The Milwaukee rotary hammer kit: amzn.to/3qJpEiv, I may receive a commission if you click the link.

Consider highlighting the specific items you're talking about with some post production or verbal identifiers like "the third from the left". Saying "this one repeatedly with no indication of which you're referring to is confusing to say the least. The video was very thorough though. The amount of time you spent on testing is quite impressive.

When you have a stucco coating, you can't see where the mortar lines are...so that is a huge issue! I have had VERY poor results with Tapcons because of that. In that situation, what anchor would be best? Also, given the concrete may be only 1 1/4" thick (or could be the full depth, since with stucco covering it you don't know ahead of time!), what length anchor does one choose? Feedback: Good info but the camera work made me dizzy.

I would use a mount that has slots so you can put more than just 4 anchors and make some of the anchors plastic expansion anchors for lag bolts, the kind that usually come with tv mounting kits

can you remove a screw from the plastic anchor and reuse them? want to move my mount to another place. appreciate your answer

The screws tap a bit of thread into the plastic which make it a little stronger so if you want to be safe, you should probably get a new plastic anchor.

Do you have to drill all the eay through or just enough for the plug or spaghetti?

It has to be longer than the anchor by at least 1/4", which usually means drilling through in the case of hollow block for any kind of TV mount.

So using a hammer drill will work? Asking because I had a cement like wall that needs to be wall mounted

Yes, and with masonry bits. A regular drill would take a long time, if it works at all. Use the plastic masonry anchors for the lag bolts that come with most TV mount kits.

Do you have a video for installing a TV mount above a brick fireplace? If so can you provide link, thanks.

If you're mounting a TV to a brick wall, you can use this video on how to drill/drive into brick and just use the same TV mounting steps as the concrete TV mounting: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rRpi1usP7_c.html
