TV Reactions: The Queen's Gambit Pt. 2 

Only picked this up when someone else posted elsewhere. She’s dressed as a chess Queen in the last scene. This series was superb.

I loved the Queen's Gambit it is one of my all time favorite shows. I always get sad when I reach the last scene because it was so great and beautiful and I always wish there was more.

New to the channel Belle, I absolutely loved the Queen’s Gambit and have watched it several times. But that last episode is my absolute favorite, and have watched it even more! Good reaction 😊😊😊

I enjoyed your reaction to it. You did not talk very much until the end. I appreciate that. You reacted with mainly facial expressions and the like. There are a coupe channels that I could not make it through the first episode because the person reacting would not stop talking. I do not say that they ought to change, though. It is their channel. They can do what they wish. For me, as a single viewer, I don't mind some talk or banter in the midst of the reaction, but nonstop, never-ending talking is not my cup of coffee. Great reaction and thoughts at the end. You got a thumbs up from me.

Beth's mother appears to be suffering from psychosis. She was supposed to be taking medicine for that, but many feel that the medicine "dulls" their mental faculties or brilliance. Ultimately, they feel suicidal, and without support might succeed. Beth's mother purposely crashed.

Loved this show, and i love Anya Taylor-Joy (she was also great in The Witch, which you should also react to).

Wow you didn't react at all to Shaibel's news clipping board and Beth breaking down in the car. I'm a 49 year old man and even I teared up.

Hate to double post but, Dear Lord! A sum of your choices? There are literally millions of children who die of dysentery or cholera every year. Their mother's walk two miles to get water for cooking and bathing from the only water source in the area not realizing it is contaminated and bringing death to their children. I can tell you are a very kind hearted person and we all have much to learn, but life can't be boiled down in such simplistic terms. Many take drugs because their genius not only adds to their creativity but accentuates their empathy. If you actually feel viscerally the suffering happening all around you drugs may become a very reasonable solution. To rehash the axiom put forward in Sex, Lies and Videotape, "I've lived in this skin my whole life and I don't know how I got here. Far be it for me to pass judgement on others. I have no idea the savagery they've witnessed, particularly as a child, and so can't imagine the appropriate response."

I don't believe that. Her mother was a genius in mathematics. She was, however, crazy as a loon. She wanted to kill herself and spare her daughter. Perhaps she knew that particular truck crossed that bridge at the same time every weekday...like a bat out of hell. How haunting, "Close your eyes!"
