Belle - your reaction to Neil's death killed me. It is the most genuine humane one I've seen in several of these DPS reaction videos. You are full of empathy, a noble trait. Don't lose that.
Just some of the lies Stone tells in his movie: Stone: Oswald a lousy shot. Truth: Oswald scored 18 out of 20 in rapid fire at targets 200 yards away as per his Marines scorecard. Stone: Recreation of the shooting using 2 actors seated bolt upright, facing forward, demolish single bullet theory. Truth: Connally was seated lower, inboard and turned sharply to his right, strengthening single bullet theory. Stone: 3 shots over 5.6 seconds. Truth: 3 shots over 8-9 seconds. Stone: Mayor Cabell changes parade route to assist assassins. Truth: Parade route was never changed, accurately described in the newspapers from the beginning. Stone: 3 fake tramps fake arrested, disappear. Truth: The tramps (Gedney, Doyle, Abrams), were ID'd that same day, cleared and released with no evidence against them, their arrest records existing to this day. Stone: Jean Hill sees knoll shooter, is immediately seized, sequestered and menaced by sinister agents. Truth: She was making no such claims during the 1960's, nor does she mention any of it when interviewed on live TV the day of the shooting. Stone: Everything pertaining to Beverly Oliver character. Truth: Oliver is a notorious con artist and grifter who could not possibly have been the Babushka Lady. Stone: Impossible for Connally to still be holding his hat after being shot. Truth: Connally was still holding his hat in his injured hand when he arrived at the hospital. Stone: Limo full of bullet holes. Truth: Only damage to the limo was a crack to the windshield caused by a bullet fragment. Stone: Witnesses on Depository staircase never see Oswald running downstairs. Truth: Those witnesses, who couldn't even agree on their timing, came downstairs after he did and hilariously Stone never explains how the "real assassins" got away because nobody ever saw them either. Stone: Fake bullet planted at hospital. Truth: That bullet was matched to Oswald's rifle and hilariously Stone never explains how anybody planting a bullet within one hour of the shooting could possibly have known a bullet needed planting at all or that he wasn't simply planting one bullet too many into evidence and blowing the whole plot. Stone: Officer Tippit shot by two killers. Truth: Clemons' words (and she didn't even see the actual shooting) make it clear enough she saw at best a shooter and bystander who was almost certainly Benavides or Cimino, and hilariously Stone never tells you other witnesses much closer to Tippit than Clemons firmly said there was only one shooter. In fact, Oswald was ID'd by nearly a dozen witnesses as shooting Tippit and fleeing. Stone: Police invade theater to arrest man for not paying admission. Truth: The man, Oswald, was a good match for the suspect just seen murdering a police officer nearby. Stone: Mean cops rough up unarmed Oswald in theater. Truth: Oswald drew his gun and tried to shoot the first officer to approach, fighting so violently 3 officers were injured just disarming him. Those officers risked their lives to capture their suspect alive as per their duty, but Stone couldn't care less who he paints as part of a plot so long as it suits him. Hope he's proud of himself. Stone: Lee Bowers murdered. Truth: Bowers' words make it clear he saw nothing that would threaten any conspiracy, he didn't die until some 2 years after he had already testified, and his car accident was investigated by the police, the HSCA, and researcher David Perry, none of whom found any evidence of foul play. Stone: Guilt-ridden conspirator David Ferrie starts cooperating with Jim Garrison, is murdered. Truth: Ferrie died of Berry aneurysm after failing health, always hotly denied any knowledge of the assassination, and was preparing to sue Garrison for harassment. Stone: Garrison advised by mysterious "Mr. X." Truth: Mr. X never existed, was based on notorious lunatic Fletcher Prouty, the man who proved flying saucers are real. Stone: Justice Department "does nothing" in regards to HSCA's conclusions of "probable conspiracy." Truth: HSCA was all set to conclude Oswald acted alone until those acoustics experts came forward at the last minute with their dictabelt recording, which the JD investigated and discovered to be erroneous and invalid as evidence, completely debunking it more than 40 years ago. Stone: Garrison unmasks Clay Shaw as a conspriator. Truth: Garrison's crackpot "case" against an innocent man whose life he ruined hinged on a witness so unreliable Stone just glosses over him, it fell apart within minutes of reaching his hand-picked jury, and he was soundly condemned by the ABA for his conduct. Stone: Garrison uncovers vast conspiracy. Truth: Stone never explains how you safely approach scores and scores of witnesses, bystanders, police, FBI, Secret Service, military personnel, doctors pathologists, ballistics experts, photographers, x-ray technicians, film experts, journalists, Oswald family members, the mayor, the D.A., whole commissions, lawyers, senators, congressmen, the Chief Justice, shoe store clerks, etc., and persuade them all to obey illegal orders, assist a bloody coup, and bend over backwards making themselves all eternally loyal accessories to murder and treason. There are dozens more.
Excellent reaction, this movie also speaks to me in a lot of ways because the first woman I ever made love to was 37 years old and I was 22, I've always loved the maturity of an older woman and mom like behavior of them. I just love the comfort and warmness that younger woman just don't give.
It’s less important that you know _what_ he shouted into the storm than that you know _that_ he shouted into the storm. This lets you imagine the name to be whatever you want.
Eddie really enjoyed this film but has said that in reality his dad was actually really supportive of him pursuing his dream to go to the Olympics. He also said a lot of the things that the Olympic committee did to try and stop him came after the 1988 Olympics. Hence he never qualified for the Olympics again after 1988. But for a time after the 1988 Winter Olympcis Eddie was probably the most famous sportsman in Britain.
I love it when women react to this movie and are more offended by an idiot throwing a french fry at a woman than the male protagonist getting kicked and beat up by a group of idiots. 🤡
What most people don't realize is that there was an investigation into the CIA in 1975 by the Church Committee. They investigated many things but one was the Kennedy assassination. Their finding was that there was a conspiracy involved. Most people assume that the much earlier, and hastily put together, Warren Commision was the final word. The media promotes this view as well. But the last official finding by the United States government is that a real conspiracy did indeed exist, but they did not go so far as to say by whom.

And then This Person was Thrust Into the Presidency and Needed to Speak to Us on National Issues... This Is A True Story About The Eventual King Of England/The UK From 1936-1952...
I enjoyed your reaction to it. You did not talk very much until the end. I appreciate that. You reacted with mainly facial expressions and the like. There are a coupe channels that I could not make it through the first episode because the person reacting would not stop talking. I do not say that they ought to change, though. It is their channel. They can do what they wish. For me, as a single viewer, I don't mind some talk or banter in the midst of the reaction, but nonstop, never-ending talking is not my cup of coffee. Great reaction and thoughts at the end. You got a thumbs up from me.

Though I was a little too old to have watched much of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, I was always a little jealous of people eho always appeared to have it together. Like Mr Rogers. But it gave me something to strive for.
I think Hannah was emotionally and mentally stunted. In a way I think she represents the German generation that was responsible for the Holocaust. Remember that at the time this story takes place that generation was parents, grandparents of the post war generation. There was a lot of shame. The law students says, "Everybody knew what was going on. And more importantly why didn't you kill yourself when you found out?" The kids conflict is exactly what the post war generation was undergoing. How do you handle when you find out that someone you loved turned out to have particated in such a horrible thing as the concentration camps. And the guilt not only extends to those that actually did the killing but also to those who stood by. Hannah actively participated but her simple mind simply justifies her actions because it was her job. She says, "We were responsible for them. We couldn't just let them go!" Or the classic 'We were only following orders." I think this is a remarkable story and I'm glad you reacted to it. Some other Kate Winslet has some other very serious roles that you should check out - Revolutionary Road and Little Children come to mind.

Most people missed the point of the final round. Charlee, Max's dad, was in his own way fighting the top fighter in the world. Meaning, Max got to see his dad take on and almost beat the top fighter in the world. Instead of the newspaper clipping, Max got to see what his dad was capable of in person. 💯
