Aww yes I totally understand that casting on so many projects would not be for everyone. I keep myself lots of good notes as to where I’m at in the patterns before I put them back in the project bags and I love having so many things to choose from. The sock pattern is super cute isn’t it 😃🧡

Hi Ange! Lovely to see you starting your cast ons. I have cast on six so far…. Having completed all my twelve from last year(!) I am going for a full twelve again this year 🎉. So far I have cast on a Natica cowl, a Cushy Comfort cowl, a Sweetshop blanket, the first in a set of shorty socks, the Ballyclare shawl, and the Chevron Fade blanket which is crochet, and the first thing I have crocheted that isn’t a granny square or a granny stripe! Like you I am having to space things out a bit more this year, and will take longer to get them all started, but I do love having them ready to go back to throughout the year! Hi Ange, yippee the 1st of your 12 cast ons. How cute are those socks. I’ve had some wonderful news this last week, I’m going to have my 1st biological grandchild in July😃 I’m a step Gran already but it’s my own sons partner who is pregnant. She had her 12 week scan yesterday and everything was good 🙏 My 1st cast on has been baby hats, I’ve made 3 so far. I did have my 12 cast ons sorted until we got this news. There may be a few baby items including a baby blanket, my knitting needles will have sparks coming off them. We’ve been to Scotland for the new year and came back today. I finished the 3rd hat in the car then hand wound some Steam punk yarn hubby bought me for Christmas, yippee, he’s learning no acrylic this year🥳, it’s 2 50g skeins so I’m making myself a two tone Musselburgh hat for my 2nd cast on. Anyway looking forward to your next cast on. Stay safe xx

Cute socks- great attitude- yes fam and friends now, yarn always. I have cast on and finished my 2023 Advent socjs from freckled whimsy and a wobble cowl from a set. Also started a 10 stitch bkanket and another pair of socks. Headed out on vacation today. Bti ging yarn gor 3 more pairs of socks!

Those socks are utterly adorable! Apart from the projects of mine you mentioned from Instagram, I've cast on a Pop Tart shawl by Tamy Gore and today I'm casting on a Boxcar Sweater by Becky Sorensen. This year I'm really concentrating on items that have been in my queue for a while, and it's been great seeing things disappearing and the look of my queue changing!
What a fun project!! Sounds like you had a great Christmas. I took a picture of our food and forgot to take any more. Oops 🤣 I've been working on all 3 of my cast ons every day since I started them. I've got some handspun socks in a fun pattern that I have to pay attention to (24 row repeat!!), some sport weight socks which I'm doing a simple ribbed pattern with because I've never knit this gauge/stitch count before and have no idea how well they will fit, and some Frosty Path mitts holding a fluffy yarn with fingering leftovers in a lovely cabled pattern. Might start a Rock It Tee today in some cotton and linen yarns. I accidentally had a bit of a sort out yesterday and found yarn all balled up in 3 project bags ready to go for that and 2 pairs of socks.

Oh, I'll have to look up the pattern. I have a Santa collection to have year round & at least one stays in each room ( my closet included)! I've cast on 3 projects so far with a sweater , second dog sweater & another Musselburg hat- that makes 6!

Hi Ange I love those socks! I think that might be the best Christmas sock pattern I've seen (I think the j is pronounced as a y but don't quote me on that!) I have so far cast on seven projects, mostly smaller accessories like hats and socks, but I also cast on the Stephen West HKAL on Boxing Day. I have finished all the smaller knits and have four more pairs of socks and a pair of mittens to cast on! I have shared photos in the Ravelry thread of those I've finished and you may share whatever you wish. Looking forward to seeing what else you cast on! (Love your cat btw) 💜💜💜

Happy New Year! Love the socks. So far just one pair of vanilla socks for my cast ons - beautiful Zauberball crazy yarn. Plodding on with the Hansel hap, which I’m loving knitting, but with over 500 sts a round, it’s taking a while. Did you finish James’ mother’s socks in time?!
