My little cousin was recently molested by her mom's boyfriend. She was only 9, though she's not completely aware of what occurred, and just thinks something "embarrassing" happened, it'll traumatize her for life. It's heartbreaking and revolting to know that there are people supporting these situations, supporting ruining innocent children's lives for their own, sick pleasure.

Something like trauma can never truly heal. The best you can do is help them keep going. Not even move on, but keep going. My father is a MAP and he fucking scarred me for life, he would always look at me whenever I was around and always got super close to me. It got really uncomfortable and it got to the point where I would isolate myself in a tiny room so he wouldn’t see me. Also whenever I was in the bathroom and I didn’t lock the door, even when I said I was in the bathroom, he came in and was like “whoopsy Daisy my bad” and it was so tormenting. He started showing obvious and creepy behavior when I was 7. And it got a lot worse when I was 10 and I “started” puberty. Now I’m transgender and he STILL looks at me infront of others. I hate him and I have trust issues thanks to him. MAPS ARE NOT OK

The internet can gave many isolated forums or threads obscured by a unique tag that has to be sought out. There are so many echo chambers, and paired with anonymity, it can become a nasty place. If a group of people believe in something, they'll support each other. It's normalized in a group. Terrible ideologies are enabled online, like holocaust denial, MAPs, enabling minors to make huge life altering decisions, etc. If I ever kill myself, its gonna be because I'm sick of living in a world where corporations and politicians are involved in human trafficking and pedophilia. There is no reason to live in such a terrible world that neglects to seek justice for the wicked.

While on our best friend the USA whose for some reason call themselves the whole continent (Americans) Are kinda immature even at 15 years. I'm 16 and I think it's kinda dumb, some people are more mature than others, + there are 18 years old who shouldn't be able to consent bc of their mentality, if someone's isn't able to consent at 17, why would they be able to consent three months later ? It just depends the person after 16.

Assia Vkc you literally just,, if we’re using the mentality of “if someone isn’t able to consent at 17, why would they be able to consent three months later”, that would be the same for 16, they couldn’t at 15 but then three months later they could. it would be the same thing just more likely for more children to get hurt. you change and mature a lot in 2 years, so please, just wait two years till you’re 18. and no, some people aren’t more mature than others when it comes to consent.

As someone who has been taken advantage of when I was a teen, I'm extremely disturbed by some of the arguments of the twitterpedo's. When you are 14, you are extremely vulnerable and in no place to give consent. You may be emotionally mature and can make your own decisions, but that doesn't mean those decisions were made logically. The prefrontal cortex (for logical decision making) is underdeveloped when you're a teen and, therefore, teens are impulsive and let their emotions take control. Yes, I may have said yes to old men, but I was definitely not in a place where I could give consent.

This happened to me aswell, right when I first started puberty. Teens are most at risk for this because pf that. Mine was a few years ago, approx 2-4 years from now. Kids especially girls who are just starting puberty can't make decisions like this. People sort of say it's different online but it's really not they still want attention. I haven't told people irl because of this idea that I should've known what was going on and that it was my fault.
