Loved them corner post risers. That's using your head! Working in the restaurant business, I get my hands on a LOT of most suitable sizes of wired "grill grates" for my FBS's. I would think using the Freestyle's largest octo grate to hold 2 of the shallow 5-ways atop the G2 would work..? My main advantage of using wired grill grates over the FBS's is the ease of shifting the cookware without tipping. *Another "hack" that I've shared with Steve that would DEFINITELY work in this situation is: Walmart here in the US sells a 4pack of 14inch stainless steel skewers for $1.88 that fit perfectly into the FBS slots. Stretch them puppies out over the G2 to sufficiently hold them 2 shallow 5-ways 👍
@@anthonychihuahua great comment, thanks very much, you're right, the freestyle firepit 8 takes both the skillet pans no bother, I cooked burgers on them to good effect, I agree to about the grills, much quicker, I just like playing about, the idea of the skewers sounds good, yet another way trying to get the two skillets on the go, excellent stuff, great ideas, feedback, thanks for the view as well, Cheers Chris
@@northernembersoutdoors1045 Absolutely agree with you on that: you've just GOT TO be out there experimenting with your stoves abilities. And your continued videos are an inspiration. Thanks, my friend 🔥
@@jasonnewman8455 thanks very much, I'm super lucky as I had the 5 way sent out to me and quite honestly it's brilliant, I bought the Firebox myself so knew that quality was coming based on my experience, really chuffed with the whole system, I hope one day you'll get an opportunity to try it out but in the meanwhile I hope you're having fun with the Firebox, Cheers for the kind words and for watching the video, Chris
all about the timings, looking at what you cooked this is how i would have timed it, put sausages and mushrooms on in one pan, when its time for eggs transfer mushrooms to egg pan and replace that spot with the black pudding lol next im going to try out some dehydrated food, that will take some pot juggling, see if it works if i ever get out, raining today and the best day we had last week i had to hang around to take son to dentist lol
I keep meaning to get into the dehydrated food, I really want some lightweight food for the hill but that's also tasty, some of the packets to buy here cost £15 for one meal which is ridiculous. The only thing I've done so far is collect lime tree flowers and dehydrated them to make for tea 😁😁
@northernembersoutdoors1045 stripey hat guy has videos on dehydrating meals for Camping, my suggestion is if you make a batch store them in the freezer
Oh, I've been lucky again. Thought: "Oh what a boring video without ferns". Joke. Fortunately, the fern then came into the picture. I always enjoy your videos, maybe I can learn something from one or the other.
Thanks Marcus, you do make me laugh, no video is worth watching without ferns😂😂. Always learning Marcus, the possibilities of what dishes to cook are endless so I should probably get away from sausages and eggs! All good fun, thanks so much for watching, cheers Chris
