In 1985 my first litre bike was a 1981 Z1000J but made into a Lawson replica by one of Pip Higham's mechanics. He is a well known UK tuner of drag bijes etc.. It had a Harris endurace sacung exhaust, slide carbs, a black tuubular braced swing srm snd could pull to the red line in top gear with a pillion onboard, an absolute beast and the noise from the Harris exhaust was the best I ever had on a bike. I wish I could afford one of ypur Lawson replicas now. ZZR1200 is my bike now. Always a Kawasaki man.
It reminds me of my Z1000J2 which I bought from new & took my inspiration from Eddie Lawson's super bike to modify mine. How I wish I could buy another J2 & relive the past glory. Memories are made of this. Very well done. Kind regards.
Thank you for your comment. The Z1000R and Z1000J were the great motorcycles of early 80s, and these are high level of completeness and have nice riding taste.
@@King07T Thank you very much for your courteous reply. Indeed I couldn't agree with you more, these motorcycles had a certain charm & character which I fear you'll be hard pushed to find in Kawasaki' latest offering. "Those were the days my friend" just as the song goes. Kind regards.
