Hey folks, in today's video, we'll discuss common problems with the 150cc GY6 engine. We'll start with ignition system issues and then touch on carburetor problems.
If your go-kart or scooter engine isn't running smoothly, it might be due to a lack of spark or fuel mixture problems. Let's dive into ignition troubleshooting. The GY6 ignition system comprises the stator, trigger pickup module, CDI unit, ignition coil, and spark plug. Follow these steps: bypass switches, check stator and trigger module voltage, test CDI unit, measure ignition coil resistance, and ensure spark plug gap.
If there's still no spark, the CDI unit or ignition coil may be the culprit. You can easily find replacements online. Now, a quick note on carburetor issues: if you suspect trouble, consider replacing the carburetor instead of cleaning it.
That wraps up today's video. For more details, check out my other video on vehicle flipping for profit. Good luck with your projects, and thanks for watching

If your GY6 scooter is running fine but stalls when coming to a stop, there could be a few potential issues causing this problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take: Idle Adjustment: Ensure that the idle speed is set correctly. Turning up the idle speed may help, but if it's too high, it can cause issues. Refer to your scooter's manual for the recommended idle speed, and adjust accordingly. Idle Air Screw: Many carbureted scooters have an idle air screw that can be adjusted to fine-tune the air-fuel mixture at idle. You may need to adjust this screw to achieve a proper balance. Air Filter: Check the air filter to make sure it's clean. A dirty air filter can affect the air-fuel mixture and cause stalling. Replace or clean the air filter if necessary. Vacuum Leaks: Inspect the intake manifold and vacuum lines for any leaks. A vacuum leak can disrupt the air-fuel mixture and affect engine performance. Ensure that all connections are tight and there are no cracks in the hoses. Fuel System: Check the fuel system for any blockages or clogs. Clean the fuel filter and ensure that the fuel lines are clear. If the scooter has a carburetor, consider cleaning it to remove any debris. Idle Control Valve (if equipped): Some scooters have an idle control valve that regulates the idle speed. Check if your scooter is equipped with one, and if so, inspect and clean it if necessary. Spark Plug: Inspect the spark plug for signs of fouling or wear. A worn-out spark plug can cause poor combustion and stalling. Replace the spark plug if needed. Throttle Cable: Ensure that the throttle cable is properly adjusted. If it's too loose, it can affect the idle and cause stalling. Adjust the throttle cable according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Engine Temperature: If your scooter has a temperature sensor, check if it's functioning properly. An engine that's running too hot or too cold can affect performance. If you've tried these steps and the issue persists, it may be a good idea to consult with a professional mechanic or take your scooter to a service center for a more thorough diagnosis and repair.

Hello my friend try to or spray wd 40 Silicone at the diaphragm on your scooter's carburetor Safety Precautions: Ensure the scooter is turned off and the engine is cold before starting any work. Wear safety goggles and gloves to protect yourself from any fuel or chemicals. Locate the Carburetor: The carburetor is typically located on top of the engine and is connected to the intake manifold. you should be able to access the top part of the carburetor where the diaphragm is located. Open the Carburetor Top: Some carburetors have screws or bolts securing the top cover. Remove these to access the diaphragm. Be sure to keep track of these fasteners as you'll need them to reassemble the carburetor later. Inspect and Lubricate the Diaphragm: Carefully inspect the diaphragm for any tears or damage. If it's in good condition, you can proceed with to give a little wd40 silicone and spray it. Apply wd40 silicone spray carburetor diaphragm to the diaphragm's surfaces and the all plunger also the stem . Reassemble the carburetor by reversing the steps. Ensure that all components are properly reattached and tightened. Reconnect the fuel line and reattach the air filter. Test: Start the scooter and check for any issues or leaks. Make sure the scooter runs smoothly. I hope this can help and thank you for watching my video
