U Really R Boss Bro !! It's so good to see somebody like you with a great demeanor that you have about transportation and serving industry. I work with mfrs who receive and ship tools and oils over the I 80, I 35 corridor west of the Mississippi. You give an excellent glimpse into what this is and how it's just more of what's coming into existence out there. As time goes on, there will be apps and pay structures that will all become instant.
Thats what taxis used to say about UBER when it started, till Uber took the business. It always start with high rates and end up with low. One day you will drive $.50 cents a mile.
The taxi industry in Jacksonville is regulated. Taxi's must have a medallion which at one time was very pricey. Uber comes in to Jacksonville and just goes wild. Doing their thing which was actually illegal in the beginning. Didn't matter. Taxi drivers are even broker than before and the price of a taxi medallion has plummeted. Why buy a medallion when you can just download the Uber app? Uber has no regard for regulations. Apparently it's cheaper to pay off politicians and pay fines than to do it legally. They have a very high regard for money. Travis Kalanik's net worth went from $1 billion to $6 billion in about a year. That, my friends, is a big fat red flag. You have to ask yourself "How did he do it?". He did it by screwing the drivers and the riders. Do you think Travis has changed his ways? Do you think Travis' lust for wealth has just vanished. No, it's the same old deceptive tactics and a $6 billion dollar net worth isn't even close enough to being enough. The prices shown on the load board are controlled by Uber. They can and will fiddle with them in order to line their pockets. Uber's slice gets bigger. Your slice gets smaller. Remember this, Uber controls everything. Even your willingness to participate. You'll see. Keep your eyes open for incentives while the freight on other load boards disappears. The shippers will flock to Uber and so will you. Long before you realize what has happened it will be too late to save the old system. Just like WalMart put all the "Mom and Pop" stores out of business. By the time we knew what had happened it was too late to save the Mom and Pops. I'm not a hater. I just can't deny the facts.
Lol the irony of you saying Uber is crooked because they lobby and pay off politicians is funny. The whole reason "medallions" were expensive in the taxi industry was because the taxi companies lobbied and payed off politicians to make them expensive to have a defacto monopoly.
truthinvideos Did you know that if you have your own Mc# and your own truck, you don't have to stick with uber? You can go on just about anywhere. You aren't tied to just uber. shocking right?
Not shocking at all. The Uber drivers Have their own car. They pay for their personal insurance. Take care of all the maintenance and repairs. And they also can drive for other ride share companies. What you might find shocking is many drivers will travel for hours to get to another area where they stand a chance of making a little more money. Instead of driving back home they choose to sleep in their cars so they can drive in that same area the next day. In theory that saves them the expense of traveling back and forth. In theory they end up making more money. What isn't a theory is the fact that they feel stuck because they have car payments and they feel Uber is the only way to get them paid. In short, these drivers are desperate. Do you think these drivers woke up one morning and said "I want to be desperate"? No, these drivers never said that. These drivers were slowly painted into a corner. Now trapped in that corner they must turn tricks like a $2 hooker so they can satisfy the big Uber pimp. Coming soon to a load board near you.

Not a trucker but this interesting...so the rates u see is what they pay u??? How much does uber get? And this Is not just for big truckers right??? Thanks!!!
Can you please make a video that shows someone how to be a independent trucker ? Also how much does it cost to be have a independent truck ? Thank you brother
It’s now May 29, 2019 Im in GA. Looks like Uber freight loads pay more dollar/mile vs DAT or Truckstop loadboards. They on those boards trying us with as low as .50 a mile for a 600 mile run...foh. I’m talking about partials/ltl loads.
Bro! Those rates are garbage! You will go out of business with those rates! It's produce season and look on those rates, what's going to happen when the season is finish? You guys can't have a retirement plan, truck/trailer payment, health insurance and be paying taxes. I appreciate your informative video thou.
What about your tolls and pre pass or your local directions. do you have to have your own authority and pay for your own plates. I do not which way to go with a sign on with a company or do my on Authority. I just got approve for to 2 trucks
I drove taxi in the major Easter City before Uber came along . Then I drove for Uber while trying to go to school. Finally have to get back into Trucking because Uber Lord the rates four times in less than a year. I hope this gives you something to think about, oh and by the way, these rates are no good.
Here's why autonomous trucks and cars are decades away if not longer: in order for the whole idea to work you would need to refit every road in America with sensor technology to make sure everything stays on track AND you would have to remove all human drivers from the road to ensure the safety of people riding in the autonomous vehicles. A single human driver would be naturally slower to react and generally more prone to causing accidents than the programs running everyone else around and thus putting them in danger.
How much it cost a month to use this. I'm looking to buy a truck and trailer next yr by summer and I want to use multiple sources. I feel like using more than one maybe about 3 you could really stretch your options
Do you have to own your own trailer with Uber freight or can you buy the tractor alone? I plan to become an owner operator but I dont plan to buy a trailer. Just a tractor. Im leaning towards a Freightliner cascadia with the DD15 engine and DT12 transmission. I find that automatics have much better fuel economy then manual on trucks.
MrWill1985 If you don’t buy your trailer you’re stupid and yes you have to have your own trailer and Must haveauthority Per be under someone else’s authority to drive for Uber
I'm just getting into the trucking independent business. can someone please list best load booking boards n brokers so i can get a good understanding of what a good rate is. comments n video has a wide range from $1.70 to $5/mile. where does reality/actuals sit?
those are not Typical of Landstar loads!! it looks as if no matter how much the load is paying....Uber is trying to Cap You Around 1.70 a mile!! As For NY loads.....once you pay tolls that 3.00 a mile load goes to 2 bucks!! those numbers suck homie!! just letting you know the real
jblackwell4679 what uber is doing is trying to convince they are cutting out the middle man when they are the middle man. those look like typical rates a broker would give.
Not really!!! If the did they would Write in the description section... I️ have one more video to post about my overall conclusion of Uber Freight... So stay tune
Honestly, I drove for uber when the pay was similar to the taxi rate @ around $2.40 a mile it's now $.65 / mile. And they don't care about you at all. Must a bias statement, but If I have to choose between uber and another broker, I'll pick the other broker any given day. That's my opinion.
People : is lamentable those rates ... But pay close attn cause this will be de game changer .... Just wait and see for 2 more years ... Uber will dominate truck industry
Great information bro but don't be quick to start promoting uber.... Let time pass and let the smoke clear... Everything is attractive in the beginning. Just be careful about going hard...
+Marc Bryant Yeah I deal with deadhead to but you have too account for that on the load you get. you are the idiot if you don't account for you deadhead I been doing this 10 years!!!!!!
+Marc Bryant when you get a load you always have see the deadhead because that's fuel it's not free so if you don't include it and you just get whatever load you find them sooner or later you gonna go broke because your not paying attention to the actual pay you gonna take home on your loads and 1.50 to 1.60 pm is not a money maker you can get by but not really making money!!!
uber freight has it's own active brokerage. so One rich... if you think you're avoiding brokers keep in mind... uber is a broker... so it's just matter of time till you start washing trucks instead of driving one.
Me as a broker, I will NOT post those loads, my loads are 100 times better for 300 miles I pay 1200 to my drivers, Hey Mr. Rich I feel sorry for you for doing business with Uber, clearly, you should be out of business for being such a fool and taking away good paying loads when same thing brokers are doing to you, uber will be doing to you. Shame on you for doing loads for so cheap you pity animal.
the autonomous cars they have only go on roads they have done tons of research on and loaded all the data into the car....if there are too many pedestrians or parked cars it will stop and make the driver take over.... and from the beginning of the "self driving truck " it was always to let the driver sleep on long boring stretch of interstate with no traffic or construction or getting off exits or anything
