Harmon, Miles, and Fudd. Will any of them stay healthy? Will any of them look like the players they were before? How will they play with other stars on their team? These are all valid questions.
I don't think we are as deep as you think. Until I see Azzi, Aubrey and Caroline making basketball moves during regular season games at high skill levels, I am very skeptical about any chances this team has about being champions. I'm hopeful though. Peace.
What its going to come down to is how developed el-alfy and strong are come the start of the season. They literally had 40-50 points and 20 boards sitting on the bench injured. All that and still made it to the final 4. They lost roughly 25pts, 10rbs and 10-15 assists a game with Nika and Aliyah leaving.
So many question marks for the Huskies. Can Azzi stay healthy/injury free? Is Caroline ever going to play again? Aubrey will be back.. when? How will Ayanna, Jana, Sarah, and even Ice develop? Will KK, Ash, and Q adjust to their new roles? Where will Chen and our freshman guards fit in? There are too many unknowns right now. I just hope to God that this entire team stays healthy. They deserve it
You know what I don't worry about? Something that has not happened yet. People think KK's and Ash's reduced time is a bad thing, but I think otherwise. KK and Ash were inconsistent because they were exhausted in the 4th Qt. No more 40 minutes for these kids including PB. The deep bench is good, and Geno will play those who will play hard and smart. UCONN is a good team, but they need to be a great team to win.
KK and Ash played well. No doubt. And they will both play a lot this year. But people in the fanbase think they are better than they are. They don't realize how much Muhl, Bueckers, and Edwards boosted those two. The three seniors made it so much easier for Arnold and Shade. With two of them gone; they will actually be in the opposition scouting report now!
Way too early, searching under a rock to find something to talk about during the off-season. Ziebell is someone to watch, it's been said she's lights out from the 3-point line. Ziebell won the 3-point contest during the McDonald's All-American game and, did better than both the men and women, of course, there wasn't any defensive opposition.
No. Please go watch some game footage. Please go watch all of the exhibition games like the McDonald's AA game. Ziebell has negative athleticism. Won't be able to guard at a college basketball level this year. Will be at the end of the bench imo. (I do hope she proves me wrong though.)
@@rover7139 Ah, in the actions that Geno A. runs there are always opportunities for open looks. However, I did not say Ziebell would be starting. Lastly, if you read the end of my first comment you would have read what you only repeated.
I think one key to UConn is how well Ashlyn and KK adapt and contribute in reduced roles. I think they are both great but Paige, because we have so many bigs, will be a guard this year and cut into their playing time, as will Azi and Caitlin. And, even though they are basically forwards, Q, Caroline, and AG will be competing fpr minutes.
KK, and Ashlyn playing so many minutes in their Freshmen seasons puts them ahead of schedule. Regardless of their place in the game, they've already experienced it all .
As a UCONN fan, I don't care about the #3 rating coming into the upcoming season. I could care less if they started rated at #51; it is where they finish where I am concerned. I am not counting on Caroline DuCharme at all. I am not counting on Aubrey Griffith or Azzi Fudd until I see they are 100% healthy.
To many worries about injuries, many athletes have serious injuries and are fine, Azzi might be an issue only because its her 2nd major one. Caroline with head injuries is different
ALL OF YOU PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THESE 3 BETTER WATCH OUT FOR NOTRE DAME IS ANYONE PAYING ATTENTION AT ALL!!!!!! I am not a fan but getting Miles back with Hildago and what they did in the Portal they look damn good on paper at least.
I know you guys love Amari, but she was a non factor at UConn for 3 years/ I think she will really have to prove her worth at Maryland this year. I think Gonzaga got the better Ex-Husky. Just my opinion.
Do you not watch UConn basketball? Ice Brady's going to be a superstar Gino Chris Daley will develop her into being better than she is. Strong stepping in as a freshman. ElAffey big and strong Patterson big and strong
For the start of the upcoming season. I place UCONN at best #5. South Carolina, University South California, UCLA, Notre Dame and finally UCONN at five.
How can you not have Texas in top 5 they best player on the team was injured and they still was able to get a number 1 seed in tournament they got 1 of the best of freshman in country in booker they bringing in 2 recruits in the top 12 recruits
@@Lilquan2004 The #1 seed was a gift to Texas. It should of gone to a depleted UCONN squad with six out on injured reserve, or at the very least a two seed. Including UCONN's #1 Azzi Dudd out on injury. Texas lost both times to Oklahoma last year. Does that mean that Okie should be ranked higher than Texas ? Texas also lost to Baylor & K State, I'd put the Okies ahead of Texas. Okies finished ahead of Texas in the Big 12. Jordan Lee #9 ESPN & Justice Carlton #12. Meanwhile UCONN signed Sarah Strong #1, Allie Ziebell #7 and Morgan Chelli #11.
UConn got a very favorable draw in the ncaa tournament. And then they beat usc. That was one that surprised me and I admitted as much. Paige kicked it up a notch and took the team further than expected. That’s what happened. I never once have hid from that.
