Conor McGregor has delivered on another promise. Now, he gets to wear the featherweight belt as the undisputed champion after knocking out Jose Aldo 13 seconds into Round 1. It's the fastest finish in UFC world title fight history.
His downfall and comeback seem like they're from a movie aswell. His whole life is like a movie. They're going to make a movie on him 50 years from now guaranteed. Insecure 13 year old mma starter fighter, to plumber, to amateur, to pro, to double cage warrior champ, to ufc, to featherweight champ, to lightweight champ and featherweight champ, to biggest boxing fight in history, to the most successful Irish whiskey brand of the past couple of years. Downfall to comeback aswell.
Imagine dusting aldo in 10 seconds and having multiple first and second round wins on your resume but losing two fights and being told you aren’t shit. Fans have a very short term memory.
Lol the level of ego behind that statement. Not to take away from his accomplishments but there is justification why people don't like him. ▪ Only man in history to be stripped of two belts by refusing to defend. ▪ Hasn't knocked out anyone bigger than him (other than Poirer but that was at *145*) ▪ Undeserved LW shit twice in a row (Alvarez and Khabib) ▪ His fans are 50% why people don't like him because y'all act like he's a god and if we keep it real he ain't even in top 20 greats to even do the sport. ▪ He spent most of his caresr beating midgets, then people call him a god because he beat Diaz but we all know that ain't an impressive win
Ryder Morales Gloat what exactly, any human being that hates, on anyone for anything are absolutely mentally ill. people who want someone to fail are mental and that’s a fact
@@luvthylive 4:32-4:45. The translator definitely didn't translate everything Jose said. If you know Portuguese I'd like to hear your translation. If not than your comment is pointless.
Ayrat Khalikov he said: “thanks to the people in brazil, for all the support, this is a sport it’s part of it, today we lost but if God wants we lost the fight not the war and if it’s God’s will we are going to comeback stronger and conquer it for you. Thanks to everybody for the support, a big hug, god be with you!”
@@Luke-vf6qc I really wish he still followed that motto of his. Overall he would just be better, not just mentally but skillfully as well. He didn’t let those losses affect him and now it obviously does… it’s sad but it is what it is.
@@aidanfl It's not savage by intent. When you get knocked it's easy to not remember some of the stuff before that. And since the fight was short it could mean he did not remember the whole fight. That was Luis Coronas point.
@@TheJimLahey oh my god cool bro you’re smart I get it the point I’m making is that we’re all laughing about how his question is basically saying he got his ass beat and asking him if he remembers it. it’s funny, so laugh or don’t bruh I do not care about whether it’s a savage question or not
@Thatthar899 Fuel his passion for what? Conor doesn't even fight anymore. He likely isn't even eligible to fight Chandler because of his steroid use. Yes Conor did it before but that was nearly 10 years ago dude. Just listen to how he spoke back then compared to how he speaks now. His mind is chaos now, he's fried.
@Thatthar899 What are you debunking lol? You said Conor would come back better than ever. I disagreed and then you conceded that he wouldn’t win against a contender. Didnt you just immediately abandon your original position? Or is there a way that coming back and losing to every contender is better than being double champ? The point is that Conor has not developed his skill set in years, he’s stagnated due to inactivity. Mentally he’s a chaotic train wreck, he has no passion for the sport or else he would participate.
+J Raynor he got caught coming in. what do you expect... if the fight was longer i doubt connor woudlve won coz he almost lost his last fight against a slower opponent.
@@StraightEdgeEnigma01 thats why hes not the same. He lost to max and to a bantamweight. Do you think the old aldo would have won against max and to a bantamweight?
Yeah sadly Aldo was very misunderstood by the crowd since the translator is a fucking dumbass, anyway what he said is: "I was expecting a low cross in my chest but when i attacked him he counter punched with a good cross and it hit, I wish that we could get a rematch, I think it's not over here. It was really fast and he threw a good attack and closed the fight there."
Aldo didn't say "it was not a fight". He said that it's not over, that he wants a rematch. That guy does a terrible job translating, like, pretty much every time.
"He caught me when I was trying to hit him. It was a good punch and it landed. I wanted this (fight) so bad and I think this is not over yet. It ended too quickly. I want a rematch.
The translator definitely twisted some things that Aldo said. I'm brazillian and in no point did he say that it wasn't a fight. He only said that Connor connected a good cross which ended the fight quickly and that there should be a rematch. He didn't say it wasn't a fight. The translator fucked up and made José look like a sore loser.
Diogo BP Thanks for telling us that, I mean come on how many English people can speak Portuguese! but that translator shouldn't have mistranslated (Wars can be made over that!) he made Aldo out to be a sore loser very unprofessional this should be highlighted more!
Diogo BP but he is a sore loser.. He takes pride on gloating at conor when he loses.. He did it when he lost to nate and again when he lost to Floyd in a the boxing match.
Aldo: "He fought well and the fight ended quick, so we need a rematch" Translator : "That was never a fight" This UFC translator shares the trait of imcompetancy with overconfidence and disrespect that I saw in the several interview of Tibet Oral History Project
@@niallheaton2724 Seriously , that's your excuse , I've been to Ireland for 3 months and I went to a lot of pubs and you people are so quiet I mean the USA pubs are more exciting
Waleed Khalid 3 months? Try 30 years for me. Which part of Ireland there are differences if you go to the south there is going to be fights and Dublin too on the east
@@niallheaton2724 well I was in a tourist tour so of course i went to Dublin and why the hell would a guy go to Ireland and wait 30 years to see one fight
Conor is the goat 145er, his style works well against shorter fighters with shorter reaches he isn't good at fighting people his own height McGregor smashes people who are either alot taller than him or shorter, but i reckon he'll beat Poirer in the triliogy, Conor was winning the fight up till the end so if he can replicate that with better leg kick defense he will win
@@bournemouthwillwinepl9568 Just by watching the whole fight again and again, I can say that Mcgregor will certainly gonna win the trilogy. Haven’t seen the version of Mcgregor that after a loss, he regroup and reevaluate for awhile but oh boi. We know what’s coming next.
At least he had the balls to do a post-fight interview, unlike the sore losers. Everybody loses in MMA eventually (unless they stop fighting at a young age like Khabib). It's absolutely inevitable.
Aldo was a beast and I doubted Connor could beat him. What really tripped me out about Connor is how he was so confident, you can see that Connor had absolutely no doubt at all he’d beat Aldo. You see in Connor that he KNEW this would be the outcome
I hope the fans have the decency to respect both these guys. Aldo will always be known as a the perfect role model for takedown defense. He's given us great fights over the years. Conor with his movement and power will always be revered and appreciated.
+kenpachi zaraki Agreed. I was saying this aswell. i really hope he gets respect..But as you can imagine. Tons of people will be bashing him..same with Weidman. Tehse guys goes through SO MUCH, but people are just stuck up iditos to them. Conor is such a beast of an irish schoolboy figther, while Jose was the slm boy, just of a diffrent culture, they both did the same basically, just frm diffrent cultures. Mad repsect to both of them. Well done to Connor, and i honestly thought he tripped or something at first. The rematc hwill be coming. Also sad for mcgregor that it went that fast. Hopefully both gets respect.
+TL DR yeah bro. Hope aldo will be better this time. And hope for a rematch. But it will depend on what the ufc wants. They are both beasts. But there will always be one who will stand.
+Daniel true that bro. I am a fan of both of them. But making fun of someone's downfall is just rude and disappointing. We should support them and not break them even more. Words can even hurt like hell. Those fighters give everything they got, train hard to be the best. A single encourgement means a lot to them and a single discouragement also. I just can't stand these kinds of people.
***** I have :,) I got a full time job in commercial real estate and my broker's license when I was 21. It's my dream no one can beat me in the game. When I'm 28 you'll see me on tv trust me
@The beast everyone will lose some day, Khabib is running away from it with world like I have no one to fight and I only fight when my mother allows it.
Except nate was dropped multiple times, nate is known for having a unreal chin, still was dropped at 170, even at 155 his head was snapped multiple times
XXX GAMES Are u stupid? He ran away from him since the first round. Just watch the complete fight. Nate got robbed.I don’t need to explain here why. If you don’t fight u wont understand anyways probably
XXX GAMES dropped isn’t finished. Nate never been finished by Conor. Take your close decision win. Diaz finished Conor in the first one on 11 days notice. I think he has the better half of the fights.
Despite some of his past comments & mistakes made, conor’s been the first true person to bring life to combat sports since Mike Tyson. Forever grateful to witness the notorious.
@RPG Games "his fighting is average" yeah tell that to all "average" fighters who has been knocked-out by Connor. he's a high-level fighter who can beat anyone in 155 and 145 .
Looking back on the fight I wish there was a second fight as it would further answered any questions/doubts real or not about Conor’s superiority over Aldo. I’m just thinking o& the fight in the cage itself, but the lead up could of been something to special too with Aldo being forced to open up on whether he was truly effected in the first fight and o& course it would show up again in the second denial or not. He deserved a potential redemption and I am not saying or believe he would even have a good shot at changing much of anything in a second immediate fight, but having defended the title for so long and officially being undefeated for ages would lend itself to having earned that rematch. The first was not a dud, but instead broke records, so why would there not be a call for a second go around after such an event. Aldo the great Champion being taken out as predicted by Conor and all the emotions from Aldo pouring out begs for a rematch if not an easy money maker for Conor. That decision to not have a second fight 6 months down the line is a mistake.
Dude Joe's interviewing was disrespectful here. Even saying it was a fight that ended quickly. Just ask the questions, Joe doesnt always need the world to hear his opinions
He WAS a great fighter, but his prime past already he's not as hungry. People don't just hate him just because, he's done some dumb shit and said some dumb shit, he made it easy to hate him. He's washed up. The ufc will get what they can from him and thats it.
@@defkid310bqad7 false, he still is one of the greatest and helped the ufc get to where it is today, just like khabib, gsp, jones, etc. their all amazing fighters who deserve respect for the accomplishments they made
@@defkid310bqad7 i feel like you see a man lose a couple times and then get to typing online, just like aldo everybody’s prime comes to an end, but it doesn’t mean their washed up, nor does it mean they shouldn’t be recognized for their achievements
@@ragingraccoon3501 well him being one of the greatest is arguable, yeah I would say he helped the UFC become what it is now. I wouldn't compare him to Khabib or GSP though, not even close to their level....
The fact that Jose stuck around in the cage for an interview was admirable. He was heartbroken but had the balls to keep himself together and give his respect to Conor. The translation wasn't very good, he was more respectful than the guy made him sound.
Man that KO of Jose Aldo by Conor McGregor was crazy!! 13 seconds! I was expecting a 25 minute war, I remember screaming out loud! What a moment!!! 😊 Conor McGregor the icon! The excitement he creates for his fights is next level, from the press conference to the event, his star power and charisma is unmatched, a true global superstar. He truly changed the sport of MMA, helped it grow into a global phenomenon, only one Notorious Conor McGregor 👏👏👏 Good memories 🫡
ALDO DID NOT SAY "IT WAS REALLY NOT A FIGHT" NO WHERE CLOSE ACTUALLY ID GO EVEN FURTHER TO SAY HE SAID THE OPPOSITE lol Interpreter: can you remember any of the fight? Aldo: yes, he came straight for me as I expected and when I went to attack him he hit me with a good left and I was out. I have to congratulate him but it doesnt end here. It was a quick fight and he caught me with a good punch and was able to finish the fight. Interpreter: it certainly was a fight, it just ended very quickly(fucker translates that bit well though). How much did the taunting and disrespect affect you in the fight? Aldo: (aldo must be thinking "what the fuck? Should i nut him") it didnt affect anything. He could of said anything. I never let myself be provoked. Im at peace within. I went in there to work. It was his day today he got me with a good punch but I think we just have to wait for the rematch. Next time I'll come much more prepared and I'll take back what is mine. Joe: thanks been a pleasure. Aldo: I just want to say thank you to everyone. This is part of the game. I lost today but I'll be back even stronger and get my belt back.
+royhatts1 yeah I know. my point is loads of people think aldo said "it wasn't a fight". he didn't say say that. the interpreter made aldo sound bad. aldo was actually very respectful and straight forward.
+John Doe it was just his cover up because he probably commented the first one then realized he was wrong then had a mental breakdown for the whole internet to see
@@heybro4794 COMPLETELY diffrent. Floyd (50-0) is up ther with Ali and Tyson but diffrent. Hes the best defensive Boxer of all time period and he boxed against Conor who gave his debut in pro Boxing. Do i have to keep going or do you get it already?
+xVENZORx It wasn't a "fight" in the sense that it ended so quickly. Ask any fighter, and they'll tell you that that can happen any time of the week. Hence why Conor said the exact same thing.
+Theo Wallcot the translator got it wrong and now MSN and everybody is talking about what Aldo said "it wasnt really a fight"....Aldo never said that. He only said that the fight was too fast and he wanted a rematch. (coming from a native Brazilian.)
+Tyler Durden Exactly, and the fight never really got started. This wasn't Holly dominating Rhonda than KOing her brutally, leaving little question to who the better fighter was. We still don't know with Conner vs Aldo. We do know Conner has the power to KO Aldo now without question, but other than that, we don't really know what would have happened if the fight actually started.
MrMosbyOfficial VEVO haha even I can go flat out for 13 seconds. I think Aldo beat himself long b4 getting in the cage as Mcgregor got right under his skin.
+Antonio G yah now everyone is a fan where the fuck were u 7 years ago??? there was only some of us true fans the rest of u are just bwg so just stop..
I speak Portuguese cause I'm Portuguese and I can tell you that the translator changed what Aldo said in the first response and that changed a lit bit of the interview's course
I listened to it again and Aldo didn't say "It was really not a fight" at any point of his speech He said "We need a rematch, cause I don't think it ends here... It was really fast, he threw a good punch and ended the fight" And this last sentence was in a congratulating kinda vibe, like "He threw it and ended the fight... Can't say much more, it was very good, it is what it is"
Aldo didn't even dare to look in Conor's eyes before the fight. Conor just stared at him, almost looking sad and worried for Aldo. Looks like the mental games worked like Conor said
I think he did recover soon after this. And the people who say he was never the same after this seem to forgot who were Aldo's opponents the last years: Max Holloway twice (even Poirier could barely defeat him), Petr Yan and Alexander Volkanowski. Aldo out of his prime fighting top contenders in their prime. And il both fights against Holloway, he did well in the first two rounds, but seemed to gas out in the third before getting outboxed by Holloway (the best boxer in that devision). So he doesn't have to be ashamed to losf against names, and I think he really doesn't. He is just out of his prime, like Khabib said: There isn't a second prime in a fighter's life.
Age is undefeated, he had a good run and i watched his dominance in the WEC, but there is always gonna be a young buck with harder hands and faster, he did get a lil full of himself as well as most Brz fighters do, so good to see them knocked down a peg, they talk too much shit til someone talks more shit n knocks your goofy talk ass out haha, ENGLISH son, you want the money learn it, you will not get around it, just is the way it is.
Conor is soo kind hearted that when he saw Aldo's eyes watering he said to him that we will go again... Conor is also a good person he just sells his fight by cussing or by doing what he does but exception his build up for khabib's fight I think whatever Conor said he said it from his heart and mind and whatever he said was true or nearly true...
Aldo will always be more of a man and more of a fighter than McTapper could ever dream of. He actually fought to earn a title shot and defended the belt many times. He isn't a druggy who tweets and deletes, or a racist, or someone who sucker punches old men having a quiet drink. Respect Aldo!
holy fuck, CHAMPIONS and undefeated golden state loses to bucks, CHAMPION undefeated weidman loses to rockhold, and CHAMPION undefeated for 10 years aldo loses to mcgregor all in one night wdfffff
Amazing night for Southpaw as well. The last 3 main cards fight pretty much orthodox v. southpaw and all 3 rounds won by Southpaw Romero, Rockhold and McGOAT.
+Keith Lamb This was the challengers night. I wasn´t sure who to go with for jose or mcgregor, i was unsure who i´d want to win. I went for mcgregor due to him being a challenger, like with rockfold. But noone had expected it to end that fast. But definitely a challengers night. Anderson silva got a step forward today as Weidmans legacy of being a champion got broken along with Jose´s. What a night...In shock. But man the weidman fight was brutal.
i fucking love conor's respect for his opponent when the fight is over. He shows his great sportsmanship with class. definitely worthy of being the champ.
