Pena was cutting off all of Amanda looping and wide punches with straight quick shots to the face! She timed Amanda well,and did exactly what she said she was gonna do! All the other greats Nunez beat were afraid to get hit by Nunez! Pena stood her ground,timed Nunez shots,then picked her apart! Pena shutdown all that aggression with good punch placement,timing and when Nunez got tired! She executed her perfectly! Good one Pena

Nunes gassed hella quick and didnt show any respect in the striking to pena and it cost her. Nunes has fought people who arent scared to strike with her like cyborg but never someone she didnt respect
I was shocked until I saw Nunes after the fight and at the presser. If you reached a point in your life where family and personal life is more important than beating someone who has been calling you out for years and talking smack then just retire.

Agree; seems like Amanda lost focus with other things going on her life. Professional MMA is unforgiving, the moment you stop dedicating the right time to it you will get hammered.
She wasn’t half conscious which make’s it even crazier she legit quit in there, it didn’t even look like she was mad at himself she took the L like a champ
Nunes said she got caught and didn’t know how to react because she’s never ever been caught before so she never had to face that type of adversity! She made the excuse that her camp was a mess and she has injuries her body wasn’t as prepared as she wanted it to be because of the knee injuries! In my opinion if she new she wasn’t ready she should have pulled out took the advice of her team and docs and went in with her 100% self! Excuses maybe? Regardless Pena won! I don’t think Pena is a better fighter then Nunes though! I feel like Nunes was off she looked tired didn’t bounce like she used to her entire everhujg was off. Doesn’t take away from what Pena did though she came hungry and she ate! I feel like rematch Nunes beats her!

Foi uma Juliana audaz, sim, muito corajosa, pois até então nenhuma adversária tinha trocado socos tão intensos com a Amanda, com sucesso. As que tentaram, como a Cyborg, levaram a pior, foram massacradas. Essa luta está entre as melhores lutas femininas em 2021.
At the 2:10 mark, funny, someone in the audience says, ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS. AMANDA NUNES definitely gassed out in round two. Post-COVID hurt AMANDA, but JULIANNA PENA used her stiff left jab to keep AMANDA at distance and wear her down. GREAT UPSET.
If you see closely Peña was getting nunez with the jab , look how her head wasn’t on the center line when throwing the jab and watch how nunez head was still in the center line when throwing the jab always move your head off the center line folks
@@PerForMSR Nunes is a 2 dimensional fighter with no heart. She punches hard...that was it. Hopefully there is a rematch when it still matters. And if there is.. it wont be much different.

I give nunes credit for being a beast for sure.... but,.. no Goat! To be the best or to be a great champion you have to be able to face tuff times and Not give up, bit persevere. The only reason nines wasn't getting beat was because no one fought her back, she got the jump on the other fighter and that was it. Pena actually fought her back and gave it back to her. Nunez just gave up in the hard time and that's just no heart. Lioness my rear end more like the bully got bullied. Pena true champ . (This is just my personal opinion for everyone that's going to leave a comment getting all key board warrior like.)
Pena straight up tagged that noggin! I knew someone would eventually take Nunes down after her fight against Cyborg. Nunes just happened to get Cyborg before Cyborg got her. Great fight.
On paper it seems pena would be easy lunch for nunez. Styles make fights and you cant underestimate anybody. I wonder if pena would get through the gauntlet of fighters that nunez has been through.
I had never seen footage captured from the crowd's point of view at a UFC event. It's interesting, some things are easier to see and understand, but for the most part I'd still rather see the fights on TV.
Almost seemed like Nunes skipped training camp. Pena through the same left right combo 30 times and hit her the majority of the time. First round was sloppy from both
What planet are you guys on? Nunes has never shown good boxing skills. She just punches hard...that is it. Once you figure out how to avoid her overhand right (her only punch) She is literally weaponless...and not only that...she has no heart. 🤦♂️
I have such respect for Nunes but if you keep on fighting soon or later you will have a bad night and opponent will have a great night. Pen had a great plan and it paid off. Much respect for both beautiful ladies.
