Don’t think Dave will show Old Top Gear (1977-2001) as they tend to show the Clarkson,Hammond and May era could be shown on BBC Four in the not too distant future if BBC are interested in showing the old style Top Gear when it was all serious and a proper Car programme
@@Clappinghambloke1998 Same with all the other old shows they don't show, like all the countless gameshows from the 80s and 90s. Yeah I've wondered why they don't show the old series, the keep showing the same Wheeler Dealers episodes which are about 15 years old now over and over on Quest and keep showing the same 2002 era Top Gear specials all the time. It seems to me that anything pre 2000 or over 20 years old they don't want to show.
You'd have to be a millionaire to afford alot of them now, even less desirable classics which noone cared or and which where worth pretty nothing are fetching really silly money now. I can't believe people buy 20 grand plus for a VW Campervan.
40 or 50k in some cases bud for the original Splitters in good knick. Absolute off the nut ,I like T2s don't get me wrong we had a 71 T2 Dormobile my dad bought few yrs ago, needs put back together but realistically ye should be takin maybe 5-10k, but the trendy, hippy image means folk will often pay daft money, fair play for folk seelin em right enough 😎. As Quentin said nostalgia is fair enough but ye can't ignore its age & apart from the vintage style the fact today's equivalent will run rings around it in every department. I love Classics but we have a 71 Austin Sprite but I do keep in mind its limits & respect them for what they are.
