This video is a compellation of almost all of the Chevy S10 Rock lander build series up to this point. Most of this truck was built in about 6 months and has been broken, fixed, modified and ultimately enjoyed. This truck has seen thousands of on and offroad miles and is comfortable to live out of for long periods of time and will also do the hardest off road trail with ease. I love this truck and use it almost every weekend for the last 9 months. There is still lots to do to finish this truck out so look out for more videos on this!

I plan to follow this build basically step by step on my ZR2 blazer. I love it. Other than I assume Enduro joints and plating the frame from the start, is there anything else you would do differently knowing what you know now?

Honestly I liked this build so much I absolutely had to do something like it I wasn't able to find a 4door s10 but did find an 01 explorer sport trac now have 79 Bronco axles locked with 5:38's for it and picking up some 37's. Absolutely love your channel look forward to future adventures and builds thanks for keeping it real for all of us not fortunate enough to have lage shops and all the cool tools 🤟🏼

Do you think you could keep the front crossmember to hold everything together/add strength, or does it take up too much real estate? I remember someone from four-wheeler doing this, might have been Verne, and they twisted up the frame in a ditch. Regardless, love this build!
@MuddyBeards4X4
@MuddyBeards4X4 6 месяцев назад
It hangs down too low, and would be in the way of the front axle and trac bar. Between the front bumper and the frame plating it has been plenty strong so far.

Great looking S-10 4x4 especially with the Solid Axle up front. I am asking myself why I didn't just do the SAS for the money that I have already spent building my S-10 4x4 with the IFS and I still am not done, I am completely envious of what you have and maybe someday My S-10 CrewCab LS 4x4 ZR5 will finally get its SAS.

Thanks, IFS can be great if it’s done right. And these projects are never done, lol. Sounds like an awesome truck you have. I am jealous of the ls power for sure.

@@waltersteffensthezr2man431 Goodmorning, Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Sir, sorry for the late response, I appreciate the response I would like to know how to get in contact with you sometime please when you have the time so that I can get some more information and or assistance into getting more lift. Every shop that I took my S-10 to turned me down because they called Rough Country which informed that it will not fit I finally found a shop in Auburn/Opelika, Alabama that didn't do what I asked to be done and then kept asking for more money also complaining about the installation and still didn't do the job right. There's alot more to this story but I am going to stop with that. I am not tech savvy learning along the way main goal is to be able to communicate with you if position as to what else I can do to gain extra lift. Thank You Very Much Sir for your time and assistance.

@@MuddyBeards4X4 Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family Sir, I apologize for the late response for I am learning as to how to respond return messages. I have always been a solid axle 4x4 owner this is actually my second IFS build the first was also a 1988 Chevy S-10 extended cab 4x4 but not as much of a lift as this one on the 2003 plus I was alot younger and more capable of doing the work myself as to being a future mechanic. I enjoy watching your videos and honestly miss having the ability and opportunity to work on my S-10 myself things have changed since then with my health so I basically rely on others to do the job for me. I apologize if I gave you the wrong impression for I sure wish it was LS powered but the S-10 is not it's still stock 4.3L/ V6, reference as to the LS is the model interior. I Thank You Very Much Sir and I look forward to seeing more upcoming videos, GREAT JOB and WORK that you do. I Thank You Sir.

After using the truck for awhile what's the biggest upgrade or change you think it needs?? Also side note, you still doing that rx7 or whatever that side project was?
@MuddyBeards4X4
@MuddyBeards4X4 6 месяцев назад
As far as big upgrades.. it needs more power for sure, but before that I still have a rear bumper to build, onboard air, onboard battery setup, storage systems to build, ect. I just barely got it on the road and have been using it almost every weekend for 9 months straight, been having too much fun using it to work on finishing it, lol.
