I was there a few weekends ago. It’s horrifying to see how they’ve destroyed this track. All the narrow switchbacks like the one shown here are gone, the track is a boing uniform width throughout its length and it is as flat as route 8. I’m glad I got to see it in its heyday.

Actually, they are 250's. They just sound lower in pitch to me. It is 1982 also, the first year in production that Yamaha went water cooled, and the last only year they had the radiator behind the front number plate, (so when I saw that, I knew they were 250's) I had one. Good engine. Leaked fluid on my fender every year.
@@lfoxracer Bad idea to put the finish line there. Some riders crossed the finish line and were coasting, but the guys a few spots behind were still racing and landed on top of them. Some things can’t be improved. This track in the late 70s/early 80s is one of them.
