I purchased a Newair 840 capacity, only had sticks in it for less than 1 week. I have over 500 sticks inside right now. if you are careful and depending on the size of your sticks, you might be able to fit 600 inside, but no way you will fit 840. Like a lot of other people, I am having a hard time with regulating both the temp and humidity levels. I have 3 Govees that have been calibrated by myself inside the humidor on different levels. The readings vary by several degrees and percentages. I currently have 4 size 320 boveda packs and 5 size 60 Boveda packs inside. 65% humidity packs. Humidity levels range from, 57.1 to 64.2% I set the humidity level on the machine itself at first, 66% and adjusted it again to 69% which does not seem to change anything. Temp ranges from 66.9 to 72.3 degrees. Unit is set at 67 degrees. I also have a Needone 300 capacity with approximately 230 sticks inside and so far I am very happy with the unit. I am also using the Boveda packs in my Needone. The temp and humidity levels are very consistent in the Needone. I am not affiliated with Needone at all, this is just my personal opinion.

I have a small maybe Newair humidor I have the exact same problems with temperature and humidity but nothing but the Bulova packs I do not like the heat system in this design.

Would you rely on the humidity system long term or use boveda packs?

It’s been working well for over a year now. You’d need 10-12 Boveda packs to keep this thing stable.

Will it fit a few bottles of wine in there? Bottom of bottle hitting the back wall and top of bottle hitting the glass door? Want to use it to cool some Pinot Noir as well at the same time

These aren't really made for wine bottles. Wine has to be kept more or less below 55%Rh and even below. You're better off getting a dedicated wine cooler frdge

Analog hygrometers are notoriously unreliable even after being calibrated, I hope you were testing it and not relying on the analog to tell you if the Rh is correct...... 👀
