Mine was in the same condition. All the rust will buff off when you take it out of the stock and get all the nasty grease out from underneath the stock. I was very pleased after cleaning
That's in really nice shape. The bolt gets even smoother when you clean and oil it. Looks like you got a good deal with this one. These Portuguese imports are very welcome these days. The slings on these look like repurposed British slings. Mine was soaked with grease so I cleaned it up.
Thanks. Sweet, yeah I need to do a follow-up with the under the wood condition. So far I'm definitely pleased with it. I'm glad my sling wasn't so soaked lol.
very nice, i just received mine yesterday. So far only found minor pitting on the front right side of the barrel. SO MUCH COSMOLINE, cold doesn't help rn. strong rifling but still hard to see how clean due to residual grease. Also, with the greek ammo deal, those boxes & rounds look immaculate wonder where they've been storing that.
That's good, it seems overall most have very little pitting, but I'm not surprised given the age. Yeah, I noticed my ammo was dusty...probably sat in a warehouse a very long time lol.
