Just south of Baldwin is The Shrine of the Pines... you will enjoy the trip there. things made of tree trumps by a man with mostly primative tools. someone will explain the many things made from tree trunks.
Flies only, catch and release only on that stretch, west (downstream) of m-37 for several miles. If you're caught in that stretch of river by a C.O. with a fish in your possession or any bait besides artificial flies, hold on to your wallet...
Lord have mercy. What an embarrassing "fishing" clip! Over 50 years ago our HS basketball coach took us on a camping trip on the Pere Marquette. We put in at Baldwin...what a gorgeous river!
