Management involves dopamine agonists such as bromocriptine, somatostatin analogues such as ocreotide and trans-sphenoidal surgery to remove a pituitary adenoma if this is the cause.

There is a theory that in the biblical account of David vs Goliath, that Goliath had acromegaly. He was a giant of a man, and the pressure on his optic chiasm could have caused him poor vision that made him take off his helmet to try to see David better (and we all know how that turned out).

trust me, you dont. my mam had it and its not fun at all. had radiotherapy, took pegvisamont, really bad headaches, and an operation to remove the pturity tumor. her shoe size is 10 lol
