People have gotten used to leaf lover technology; elvish phones, aesthetically pleasing but fragile machines with seamless edges, sold for heavy bags of coins. But not this one. This is dwarven technology. Rough edges, massive buttons, heavy as a hammer, bolted-on metal shields, and a power source that'll last you through a war. It'll light your way in the darkest hours, because it comes with a dedicated flashlight-button. You can even leave your bard at home, because it features one of those ancient analog headphone connectors. I'll set an order at the local blacksmith. Thank you for recommending this! :)

I've been wanting this phone since it was first announced. I haven't pulled the trigger yet but I got to say I absolutely love the size of the battery I would rather have a massive battery in a thicker phone than a smaller one that hardly lasts all day. The camera could be improved with software I'm sure. I'd just use Google g cam like I do on my Motorola currently. Great reviews 👍

The idea is in the right place, I still miss PKBs. I think Unihertz should make a plastic version without water resistance or other premium features, maybe slap on the Snapdragon 665 for $200 USD.

I’m really really considering this one unless blackberry will release a true masterpiece like the passport! Otherwise I will keep using my beloved passport but this one is the closest thing to it! Thank you for the great review! 🤗

Hi Alex, That was a great review! I wanted to ask your opinion about the following: Would you recommend this phone from a security point of view? I understand this comes with an older OS (Android 9), Kika keyboard software and the update service through Adups, so I wonder if that security is still ok? I look forward to your reply.

Hi, so I get similar questions about security all the time... Any Android phone can be encrypted so if it's stolen it is pretty unlikely that someone will get in your phone. As for security updates... even if you don't get any as long as you only download apps from the play store you will be fine.

Can you double tap the keyboard to bring up a cursor? And does it have a ctrl key (that can use to control C to copy and ctrl V to paste?

The Titan isn't a bad phone at all but it is much heavier than your blackberry. If you used an android phone in the past the switch will be easy

@@RedskullPro I found the video to be fair about that phone. Not your fault the thing is 303g heavy and has a mushy keyboard. Reviewers of the Pocket reported that it's much better and clickier on that one though

The look of this device is not bad, but the layout of the keyboard to me doesn't make any sense. With that being said it is nice companies still support those that enjoy a physical keyboard experience.

You're faster typing on glass but are you more accurate on glass than on the Titan?

I think I would need to really commit to using this phone for a good while before I could get really good at typing on it. Back in the day when I was using a blackberry bold I could type amazing fast and without looking

@@RedskullPro I had a Titan earlier this year but sold it and kept my BlackBerry KEYone, KEY2 and LE because the Titan's keys felt too stiff to type on. They really took more force than any other keyboard phone or attachment I ever tried. Maybe your unit has less stiff keys?

@@RedskullPro I bought it in the shop in my town. Split, Croatia. 230 USD with 2 year warrenty. Durable, good battery, loud speakers. It survived 50 drops. Interestingly always lands on the side. Camera is ok during the day. It is wide. You definitly can't use it with one hand. Metal part around the camera can get hot during usage. The worst thing on this phone are the physical buttons. It has 4 on the right side. Power, volume up and down and programable button. Buttons are sensitive and easy to press. When I put it in my pocket I press them and then press all kind of stuff. Turn on bluetooth, airplane mode, ect. Also when you make a call you can press something with your face. You must always lock your phone when making a call!

@@RedskullPro To add; it has it's faults, but the features outshine it in my opinion. You should try it first with the blackberry launcher and manager and keyboard. Yes, not stock, but it suits this device beyond belief. Not only that, but the battery life is outstanding; you mentioned the screen on time, but I'm a heavy forum reader. I also have my smartwatch on me and I stream bluetooth audio to my speaker every morning for about half hour. I get 3 days of battery consistently. Also, the included charger is some kind of fast charger, though I don't know specifically which standard it adheres to. For the price, it's hard to beat.
